And I almost could just do it now. But I'm going to dig up and find somebody else. But I'm pretty sure that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has immediately handled that and has done her new diligence. Oh, Alexandria, Osio Carl Cortez. You're a Democrat out of New York if you don't know. I think everybody knows who Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is, right? So there she is, sitting in Munich, in hopes of being a president one day or being considered inside one of those top offices, something that... All right, all right.

So it's so weird. We are going through the process here today of different things as I work. So as we... I don't even... Oh, there we go. All right. Thank you. Thank you very much. Where the hell has everybody been? Stop with this bull-up diplomacy of sort of niceties. And somehow we're all going to figure it out. Stop saying one thing privately and another public. Have some spine. Have some damn balls. So I don't know. You know, he used the conference as a way to. position himself as anti-Trump as well as Hillary and others. And we may have time to discuss those. But I don't want to lose an opportunity to do a little Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as everyone is calling it, word salad. Now, I decide I want to give some bragging rights away. And oh, you know what? Here's what we got. Because the fact that Duke did not take the gift card, right, Rob? You didn't take the gift card? And I think what we are hoping for is that we want to make sure that we never get to that point. So I think what we are seeking is a return to a rules-based order that eliminates the hypocrisies around when too often in the West we'd look the other way for inconvenient populations to act out these paradoxes. I mean, we could layer on a little bit, looking out for our allies, things like that. We can continue to talk about those things. It's the right thing to do. And I'm not even a politician. That just took a little common sense to kind of sit back and think, well, why would that be important? And that couldn't come out quick enough for her. She couldn't do it. And then she threw it on down with Venezuela as well. Listen to this, Venezuela. It is not a remark on who Maduro was as a leader. He canceled elections. He was an anti-democratic leader. That doesn't mean that we can kidnap ahead of state and engage in acts of war just because the nation is below the equator. and below the equator they and here's the dumbasses in the crowd you heard it at the very end right they started to clap for it dumbasses they're her and the rest of them in that particular circle whatever that meeting was that they allowed her to have a microphone good lord What are we doing? Why are we allowing this to happen? There should be somebody that waits at Munich from like the White House. Pete Ex has to sit there at the airport. No, Hillary, turn around. We got you another flight. That gate right there. Go on back. Oh, no, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. You're not well. Gavin Newsom, what are you doing here? Here to work out a deal with the UK? Meanwhile, you don't see Ron DeSantis over there? You didn't see Ron DeSantis over there at all, did you? You didn't see Byron Donalds's over there running around. Let's see. Matter of fact, did we see anybody over there besides Marco Rubio? Did we have like, we sent, hey, send the guy that's got the best speech in town. Send him out there. He'll handle it for the rest of us. And Democrats are like, send seven people to battle him.

And now, by the way, that's all shift the whole conversation of who your next presidential candidate could be. Rob, let me ask you this question right now. Do you believe Marco Rubio's speech yesterday elevated him past JD Vance as the potential presidential candidate to succeed Trump? I mean, it certainly was a very presidential speech. I don't know if he would surpass JD Vance, but I'll tell you what, man, those two are neck and neck in my book. All right. Let me ask you another question. Do you think Byron Donalds has? 16 years to wait? No. Right. This is a problem for us as Republicans. I was just doing the math on my way in. This speech has elevated Marco Rubio. He was already elevated. They already considered him to be JD Vance's running mate. Now, it could be reversed. It could be Marco JD Vance. Either way, whoever is done with those years will then, can you only be vice president once? Is there a term limit to vice president as well? I don't know the answer to that question. I really don't know the answer to that. I know that we have covered this, but no, I believe you can be at multiple times a vice president. Well, a president that was a vice president can serve a total of up to 10 years. But I don't think there's any limitation on how many times you can be the vice president. I want you to be mine too. All right, cool. Come on. But my point being is that... Now you're going to have a little bit of a shake-up. But I firmly believe that we would have Byron slide on in. But Byron could easily slide in eight years and be a running mate of one of the other two. I mean, as... Actually, no, because you got two Florida guys. It really throws a wrench in what I was predicting. My whole prediction, my whole prediction for conservative was JD Vance Marco Rubio, and then we would go from JD Vance Marco Rubio to Marco Rubio and somebody, I'm sorry, and then Donald's and somebody else. Or maybe we set it up this time that Marco Rubio stays on as Secretary of State with the next administration. We bring Byron in to go with JD Vance. But no, that just throws it off too, man. There's a lot of ways. We've got too many great politicians in Florida. Oh, man, that's, you never, that never gets tired of hearing. It ever gets tired of hearing and seeing. And this is, this goes back decades, by the way, when they talk about Ash Wednesday, or I mean, centuries, when they used to take the things that would maybe spoil over the over the, over the winter and they would eat these and consume these and then fast so that they would have it they would have a big feast today that's why it's fast tuesday a big feast as much as you can eat it turned into the beads and all that as much as you can consume right that way when you started your fast your 40-day fast you would go out there and still be able to survive because like a bear You put a lot of stuff inside your body when it comes to Fat Tuesday. I just wanted to have a conversation about Fat Tuesday and what you thought about Fat Tuesday. And do you participate? Have you ever got a king cake? And do you go out and have you ever been to New Orleans and got all the beads and been a part of the madness? Now, I have never been. Rob, have you ever been to Orleans? I have been to New Orleans. During Mardi Gras. No, I was there to help clean up after Hurricane Katrina for a couple weeks. Oh, I went there to interview right before Katrina. Okay. I lost my job, went there and interviewed, didn't like the setup. The management wasn't my style, to say the least. They acted like they were fans of what I did, but I could tell they really wouldn't be, right? I was like, oh, they're not going to like what I do. And so I didn't take the job, but thank you because I would have had to have been. Right there through the horrific storm of Katrina. But I sat through Ian and lived, and it was a crazy experience. I mean, New Orleans is a tremendous city. It stinks. It does. But, I mean, there's some really, really great people that we met there. It stinks. That's all there is to it. It smells like pee all the time there. It always smells like pee because everyone pees on the streets there. So if you go down, what's it called the District of New Orleans? The French Quarter. The French Quarter. You go down to the French Quarter and it smells like pee on the streets everywhere, like a big old porta potty. You're not missing much if you go there. All right, I'm just saying. I'm not missing much at all. I disagree, but we'll agree to disagree on that. The only thing you're missing is the fact the one thing that I don't quite understand is that they have drive-through daquery bars. You also forget that I'm a music fan and that's a music city. Yeah. Argue with me. Prove me wrong. I dare you. Number four. 3,300 missing children in Minneapolis were found because of the actions of the Trump administration. You'd think that the mainstream media would be applauding 33 missing, 3,300 missing children that were found in Minneapolis because of the actions of this administration. It just gets glossed over by the mainstream media. Yeah, right. 3,300 undocumented children. unaccompanied minors lost track of because of the Biden administration that lost over 85,000 of them and 3,300 of them are found inside Minneapolis. No one's talking about that so we are and I think it's important for everyone to know that. These 3,300 kids were either in a home that they didn't belong, wandering around the streets homeless, like you could go down the list of places these kids could have been.

And they were able to save these lives, saving the future of the world. That's what they're doing. And while the left is out there screaming and protesting and throwing rocks at them and causing them to, you know, causing this non-peaceful protest, which we're about to play, it's crazy to think that. that Greg Stuby has to go out there and say something just so that it gets played and people talk about it. But Greg, you do a great job for Southwest Florida. We love you. Number three. It does because even the more disadvantaged students who can display proficiency on these tests can't get in if the tests are not being considered. We're seeing these remediation rates explode where five years ago in one of California school, it was one in 200 students that needed math remediation. Now that's one in eight. So you lower the standards and what you get, a lower quality and lower accountability, that's not what our students deserve. Yeah, scrapping standards is the latest equity scam that hurts the very kids it claims to help. Minority and low-income students. Without objective measures, colleges emit... on subjective essays and grades that favor wealthy families with tutors and connections. Florida keeps those high standards under Ron DeSantis because we believe in merit, hard work and real opportunity. Not lowering the bar so everyone feels included and your kid gets a chance to actually graduate. Get out of here with that. Your kid's dumb. Your kid's dumb. That's all there is to and fix it. I mean, that's the fact. It's what every parent should do. And if you don't know whether or not your kid's doing well, that's even another failure. We monitor everything our kids do in the grades daily. It's why my daughter had an interim report with all A's and Bs. It wasn't like that last quarter. It is now. That's why you have to stay on this. And I think a lot of people don't realize what Erica is saying is that by eliminating these standard tests, you're making it weak for all of our kids. They're not prepared for the big ASAT. They're not prepared to get into college. It's a process. You have to train to do it. It's not just everybody can get in. Now, there are colleges. Everybody can get in. But if you want to send your kid to a real university with a real name, it's going to take them getting admitted. Passing the SAT, things you have to do. Number two. Canada has the greatest fence ever built. America. It is foolproof if you can afford it. Really easy to be the cool, open-minded hippie country when there's a Kevlar snuggy of America draped around your fat, frozen asses, dare in the world to talk shit.

But your broader point about whether or not law enforcement should behave the same as our law enforcement is heard. Yes, and we're going to continue, of course, to encourage the American people to exercise their constitutional rights, their freedom of assembly, and their freedom of speech, and their freedom of expression peacefully. as we saw overwhelmingly done in Minneapolis. Peacefully. What channel were you watching? I'm just curious. Hakeem Jeffries, what channel were you watching? And you talk about complete tone deafness. Somebody who, you didn't even hear the question. You didn't even comment on the fact of the actual question.

But you have to speak out against the attacks against ICE. They are federal law enforcement agents as an elected official of this country. If somebody attacks one of our service members, one of our law enforcement, one of our... elected officials, one of our first responders, you should be the first person to speak out about it. It doesn't change your policy. It doesn't change where you stand with ICE. What it does is it makes you have enough common sense to say it's not okay to attack law enforcement on any level. On any level. That's what it's going to take. Just so any of your left friends know, that's exactly what it's going to take. It is going to take someone who understands that. And you don't have that pony. You got Gavin Newsom is your frontrunner who is over in Munich, Kirsten and saying, G. Damn and all these other things. It's just bad. It's a bad look for America. And this just ices it up just even more. Hakeem. You should. I get it. It was Stephanopoulos. I understand that. I understand that. You weren't going to get an honest question. But the point is, you should address the elephant in the room and you didn't. All right. I'm getting down off my soapbox. The five at 835. Sometimes I just got to get up there. I feel like it's necessary. You know what else is necessary? When are we going to give it up? And there's a lot to this because I want to do it right now. The Florida Supreme Court is hearing arguments in the case over rejected signatures for a recreational marijuana ballot initiative proving the fight isn't over. And I don't think it ever will be. This could be our ticket to real property tax elimination. I told you that last week, generating billions of revenue without raising taxes or hardworking families. And I don't care if you consume it or not. Not everyone drinks alcohol or uses THC. But if you don't, you shouldn't be upset. It's about freedom and fiscal smarts. And it's on the smell objection regulations can ban public smoking like cigarettes, keeping it contained. And if there's any state, they can do legalization right, it's Florida. Prove me wrong. But when it comes to this initiative...

At what point do you step back and be like, this fight is over from, and I'm sorry, smart and safe Florida, your fight is over. You're not going to get it on the ballot. Supreme Court is not going to change their mind. It's not happening. You should prepare your next step and your next adventure, because with this particular one, we're not all for it. And that's the issue with this particular one. The one that they're trying to pass now is that it gives all the power to one big corporation instead of making it possible for the business to expand. And for those to say it's a gateway drug leading to harder substances, listen, no, it's not. Studies showing no casual link plus regulated access reduces that black market danger. And it would. These are all the things that it would do. It would increase crime. From impaired driving to cartels, it would happen. Crime drops have actually happened across places like Colorado and Denver and DUI and the DUI Tech and revenue funding enforcement. I don't know. It's one of those things that. No one should drive under the influence, but when it comes to violent crimes, I've never heard somebody on the news saying, well, man, I smoked a big fat joint, and then I felt like I needed to beat up or fight or assault 25 people. It's usually I ate a piece of wood to bed, bro. There are health risk, and I know there are, and there is impacts when it comes to the youth. But if you regulate this, better than anything else that it's ever been regulated, in Florida could do it right. It would generate the revenue that you need. And for those that are just anti-marijuana, I get it. I understand your feelings, and I do. But understand that I also understand revenue. And I understand the business it takes to make this country and this state work great. And one of the things that we need to understand is that Florida is a business. And we miss it a lot. And we're letting a cash business go right before our very eyes, right before our very eyes, letting it slide through, taking nothing but money off the patience and very little off the corporate tax for the business. It's a cash business. We have to take their word for every dollar they make. But the revenue that could be generated. could do massive things for this state. Way bigger. Way bigger than we are. And we shouldn't miss that opportunity. We truly shouldn't. I will, although that sounded a lot like my final word, I do have one more story left to tell coming up next. We're going to jump into a... Good morning Southwest Florida. Jason Jay Jones here, wrapping up daybreak on this Tuesday morning with my final word and food for thought. Reverend Jesse Jackson has passed away at the age of 83. And while we disagreed on many political issues today, I want to give real respect to the man who spent his entire life standing up for what he believed was right. He marched with Dr. King, stood at the Lorraine Motel, the night Dr. King was assassinated, founded Operation Push, ran for president, twice negotiated to release the hostages around the world, and never stopped speaking out for the marginalized. That kind of moral courage and lifelong commitment to his faith deserves acknowledgement, even when we stood on opposite sides of the aisle. You see, no matter what, You have to respect somebody who's willing to stand up for what they believe in. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Clinton in 2000, and he continued on into his 80s, despite Parkinson being diagnosed with Parkinson in 2017, and eventually evolving into a more erratic disease where he lost his life. You know, I want to say while we clashed on issues like affirmative action, economic policy, and social matters, I respect any man who lives out his faith publicly, stands for what he believes, and never quits the fight. That's a rare quality, especially in today's day and age. I can honor Reverend Jesse Jackson's life without compromising my principles. He lived out the biblical command to seek justice and defend the oppressed, and that kind of moral courage. is standing firm with me. I think when it comes to it, there will be many that will remember what he has done and what he has changed and what he has been a part of. He was a man who gave everything to his calls, marching, negotiating, preaching, and never backing down. Like I said, we can disagree on politics and still respect the conviction, courage, and faith in action. That's my final word today. Thank you for spending your morning with me.
