I'm going to tell you why. I'm sorry. It actually makes me laugh. I, every morning, every night I go through and I look for different stories that we're going to discuss on the show and things that we're going to do. It's what I do in the process. Now you know it. So I come across an article that talks about Russian Pollock. That is the fish that is, that fish sticks are made out of. And just so you know, it is mostly caught in Russia, processed in China. And even though we have. Got many sanctions against Russian seafood. When they processed it in China, it bypassed U.S. bans. These are loopholes in what's called SMP, which is the seafood import monitoring program. I had to remember that for a second. Now, Americans eat 2.4 billion fish sticks a year. And by you buying those fish sticks, you may be supporting Russia's war against Ukraine. At least that's what the article says. But when I read that article, I started thinking about a couple of other different things. Like understand that how many of us out there before we buy our clothes, before we buy our car, before we get into... any kind of purchase, we like to make sure we're going to buy floors for our home or we're going to buy, you know, paint. There's a lot of things that you think about, right? But a lot of times you're looking for what is made in the USA. I mean, you hear it on the commercials here on 92-5 Fox News. You're here, you know, we're proud that all of our products are made right here in the United States of America. So now you might want to start checking your food. Find out where it's made and think twice about that. I mean, I never thought about it until I read this story and I started to get a little deeper into it. Like, for example, if a foreign adversary wanted to take us out and they had access to our food supply because you eat 2.4 million fish sticks a year.

I would want to buy American fish sticks. If my kid needed fish sticks or I needed fish sticks, I'd have to go find me some Alaskan fish sticks. Because just so you know, Alaska also has a lot of pollock. They do a lot of pollock up in Alaska. So that's what I would do. And more importantly now that you start thinking about. watching what we put in our body more so it's like a thing we do inside the last year. We've started to watch and pay attention and, you know, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. has really done a great job of pointing out the things that we shouldn't put in our body and the foods that are bad and we find out about additives and you find out about all these things. But there are many more things that you might not even realize are. sponsoring our adversaries. Let me give you a quick one. How about avocados? Most of them are Mexican avocados that support the cartels. Russian vodka, we'll get into that. Chinese electronics. But there are some things you're not going to get around. I mean, do they even make a American-made cell phone, Rob? Have you ever heard of an American-made cell phone? I don't think so. I don't think we... I don't think any of them are made in the U.S. right now. I believe Apple is starting to move some production over here, but I don't know if iPhone is part of that. Yeah, there are a few. None are fully made in the U.S. Not that. Closest are models assembled in India and Vietnam with more components still often coming from China nonetheless. So smartphones are out. But fish sticks, yes, you can get Alaskan pollock and like those from Trident Seafoods. There you go, just so you know. Vodka. Tito's handmade vodka made right here in the United States. Snack foods are out there. There's a lot of alternatives. Tree nuts. So. Who knew that pistachios? Do you know who exports a lot of pistachios? Iran. Did you know? That makes sense, though. But did you know that? I didn't know. No, I don't even know. I have like an 18-pound bag of pistachios at the house. I haven't opened up yet. I'm kind of curious where that bag was grown. Where are these pistachios coming from? I'm still trying to figure out, though, how... eating avocados supports drug cartels. Because they're Mexican avocados, made in Mexico, grown on Mexico grounds. But you're saying, though, Jason, that that money would go to the cartels. Would that not go to the Mexican government? Would that not go to the farmers that are growing those foods? As long as those farmers are legit. But do we? You don't know if they're legit, do you? But you don't know if they're not legit. Can't you buy an American avocado? I don't know if you can. You can. I've grown them in my backyard. Well, great. That's my point being. The fear of it. I hear you, John. I hear you, buddy. I hear you. But here's the deal. I can hear John in the phone screener room. He's giving me hell. Listen, I'm just saying, be on the lookout for the labels. It's not a big overreach, bro. It's not.

6:45

Just the assumption that eating and avocado supports drug cartels felt a little far fetched to me. Do you think it does? Yes. Why? Because the drug cartels are not in the business of selling avocados. Oh, really? They're in the business of selling cocaine. Oh, really? Let's Google right now if you've ever known that cocaine has been imported inside avocados. Yeah, I, okay. Well, where'd they get those avocados from their avocado farm? What you think they're just going to let some farmer make a bunch of money without them having their hand in it? It's cartels. They're going to have their hand in every Mexican farmer there is. That's the big money. I mean, I'm just saying. Think about the other side of that. How many times you've seen cocaine smuggled inside bananas? All these things coming over. That's all I'm saying. You can buy American. Start thinking about the things that you can buy. Don't hate me for pointing out an obvious thing that could be or maybe not be real. But it makes you think about it. Understand. You know, Rob points out avocados. Let's focus on avocados for a second. Okay. So the avocado guy in Mexico, right, the farmer. He is selling a lot of avocados because we buy a lot of Mexican avocados. Meanwhile, the drug cartel is being beat up by every federal agency inside Mexico. They're being tracked down by America. Our borders have shut down their process of making money. What are they going to do now? They're going to go after the farmers. They're going to go after the businesses if they're not already knee deep into it.

8:36

And it's a fact that it's a possibility. I mean, we can get into the other items. I mean, we could talk about other things besides avocados and Iranians pistachios. We could talk about all the tiles and possible textiles that you buy that aren't from countries that are favorable for us. But I wanted to just point out the fish sticks because when I saw the story, A, I thought it was hysterical because I was like, wow, first off, I don't eat fish ticks. And secondly, I never even thought about the fact that they're from Russia. And I'm not a big avocado guy either, by the way. I hate guacamole. I don't like avocados. I don't do it. And sushi, a little bit of avocado, but that's it. So I'm not going to be taken over by the cartel, but just so you know, Rob will be. I'm just saying. I'm just kidding what you, Rob. I appreciate you, buddy. I mean, it's very much a possibility that you've got to think about it. And now I'm getting tons of messages. So that the avocado farmers are against the cartel. But then if you go and Google it or put it into AI, you'll get a whole different scene on it. But I get it. Avocados are safe. Fish sticks are not. I'm sorry, let me back off avocados. Let me focus on the Russian fish sticks. All right. We'll just focus on fish sticks. Listen, you can hate on whatever you want. The bottom line is Tallahassee hates your latte. That's right. It's true. Tallahassee does not like your latte. They don't like your strawberries and shortcake. They don't like it. I'm going to tell you exactly what I mean is they've got a new little band going on in Tallahassee, and it makes you think about one angle of it, but the bigger picture is way more important. We'll get into the new regulation and crackdown going on out of Tallahassee next on 92-5 Fox News. The world. is changing. The Glenn Beck program. The easy things we could have done to get off this highway to hell. Glenn Beck. Our long past. All of the choices we now face suck. Nations everywhere on earth. Who are you? And who do you want to stand beside? Partner with the Chinese. Get nine to noon. Canada. Right. Go ahead. Get in bed with them. Go ahead. On 92-5 Fox News. Right. All along.

Oh, welcome back. We have a massive argument going on in the text line about avocados. It's great. I love it. So many of you have an opinion on avocados. I just read the story, thought it was humorous, brought it up, and we have the discussion. Do you know this? There are... now going to be restrictions, which I can't believe aren't already in place, for the use of nitrous in a recreational meaning. Now, there's a new bill restricting sales of nitrous oxide cartridges. You don't know what those are, let me tell you. There's these little silver canisters like the CO2 canisters used to put your BB gun back in the day, and they use them to make whipped cream with, and these... Head shops and smoke shops and questionable adult stores all across the country. Sell them and kids inhale them. And there's over a thousand emergency room visits every year from Whipit overdose. That's what it's called. Now, when I saw this Senate bill that passed and is now heading to the governor's desk about prohibiting the sale of nitrous oxide canisters, I immediately said, are we going after all of these cartridges? Are we trying to eliminate these? Because if so, you may never get whipped cream on your latte again. You may never be able to whip cream that hot chocolate, if you will, or your favorite dessert or your ice cream. Now I get it. A lot of you just buy that pre-made whipped cream. But a lot of us make it at home with our own whipped cream dispensers. But the good news is they're not going after that. So you don't have to worry about them going and shutting down your ability. The matter of fact, they're just making that if you want to buy any of these cartridges, you must be 21 and over. And anyone caught in possession of these illegally for possession of recreational purposes, i.e. you have the wrong devices and not the whipped cream dispenser. Well, then you will be... faced with some fines penalty and possible jail time. Nitrous oxide is legally used in whipped cream. Medical uses like your teeth, like your teeth, when you get nitrous when you get your teeth worked on, and then automotive boost, right? So Florida is always going to stand first in making sure that we protect those who need to be protected. And anyone who says this criminalizes harmless fun, let me just say it's targeted at a dangerous abuse, not the kitchen use. And we're not going after my favorite, like my strawberry's shortcake and cream. We're not going after that, right? But what we are going after are those that are going to...

14:19

use it in a recreational purpose and place it into their brain, just like, listen, there is a story of a teenage girl who went through the whole process of getting off of these things, and then was able to go into another, and had all kinds of health issues, all kinds of long-term health issues from using this. And then she goes back in to another head shop, buys more of these. Her body is found behind the head shop in an alley, dead, teenager, from doing something they thought was harmless. But they became highly addicted to, couldn't get off of it, and ended up dead from inhaling nitrous. It's why they made the bill. They're not going after whipped cream. And before anybody puts that story out there, I wanted to say it out loud just so you know. You're not going to lose your lattes. You're not going to lose your dessert topping. You might lose the whipped cream for your whipped cream bikinis on spring break. Hey, spring break's happening. Do you know about that? Spring break is happening. Right. Spring break is in full effect. Right as none of them can get here. Thanks, Democrats. We appreciate that. Thank you for that boost our economy. We really do. We really appreciate you, Democrats. It's a fact right now. It's a huge issue. Spring break is a massive moneymaker for all of Florida. How many of you listening right now, and I know I'm going for whipped cream with spring break, but it's natural. Whip cream is always involved in spring break. Everybody out there knows they had a little whipped cream on spring break one way or another. Do you remember spring break before you became an adult, before you became married, before it became a thing that you don't do anymore because you have kids and family and house payments and things like that? Do you remember that, Rob? Do you remember? Oh, yeah, you bet. What was your best spring break story? And you're from Michigan. Where did you go and what did you do? Best spring break I ever had was, ironically, in Puerto Vier to Mexico. I think I was 14 or so. Got my first real kiss from a girl. Wow. It was fabulous. Did your parents know? I think they probably figured it out. I'd been hanging out with her for the whole week. I love it. Your biggest spring break story is your first teenage kiss in 14. And in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, by the way, which was stunningly beautiful at the time. And now very dangerous. You would have died for that first kiss now. Was very, very different back then. Very different. Mine would be Fort Lauderdale coming down from Ohio. I'm going to say a year or a year out of the military. So I don't know. We're doing our thing. Me and my boys all hanging out, having a great time. The girl I'm dating decides that she's going to go to Fort Lauderdale for spring break. And I was like, well, we all want to go. And she was like, well, you guys come on down. And then we were like, all right, we'll see what we can do. Well, next thing you know, my boy came across this big lump sum of money. And he was like, let's go. So I called and said, are you cool? We're coming? Like, yeah, come on down. So we took the 17-hour trek from Dayton, Ohio to Fort Lauderdale, got down to Fort Lauderdale, showed up. She'd already found her smell of a spring break boyfriend. Surprise! Surprise! Spring break did me wrong. It didn't be wrong in more ways than one that time. I also fell asleep underneath one of those outdoor chairs.

17:57

You know what I'm talking about, the kind that sit on the beach that have like the lot, the stripe, the rubber strips that you lay on? You know what I'm talking about, right? They're more of poolside, right? Yes, I know what you're talking about. The rubber strips, right? Yeah, the lawn chairs. Well, it was late. I was, you know, drinking a little bit. So I laid on the beach under one of these chairs. The guys who got the chairs left that one chair over me until about noon the next day. Well, I woke up with stripes all across my body from sunburn. I had red stripes all across my body. Spring break did me wrong. Now, do you remember when MTV used to be a thing and they would do their spring break shows? Right. I think spring break should be a thing that we push forward down here. I know Mayor Allers is listening right now. Look, there is no drawback other than the law enforcement will say it causes too many calls and it causes a lot of problems and some damage. Well, don't forget last year, Miami, the city of Miami Beach, really started to crack down on spring breakers in a number of ways, like charging absurd amounts of money for parking, raising the cost of tickets for, like, smoking on the beach. They're trying to nip it in the because it's become a big problem. I feel like our hotels aren't where they used to be with the amount of people that are staying in them. That's probably fair. And this could boost that. Get us back to where we need to be. But I don't live on the beach, so I don't want to talk about a big party on the beach. Just a big flagpole. The 5 at 835 is coming up next. Hey, let's go do a cake stand, bro. 92.5 Fox News. Right. All along. This is public radio, and you're listening to a calm discussion on the dangers of climate change. Just kidding. We're using our supercharged F350 to power our margarita blender. Want one? Despite wild rumors to the contrary, of which I have heard, I intend for us to continue working until both the House and Senate agree that we have disposed of all pending matters before the legislature. With respect to the budget, as it is abundantly clear to all of you, we will not complete the 2006-2007 state budget by the end of this week. Allocation conversations are proceeding. And we will have an update for you and news to share in the days to come. Well, there you go. There is Daniel Perez, your Speaker of the House here in Florida, saying they aren't going to end session early. And let me translate. I'm going to stay here as long as I can drive to Santa's crazy. As long as I can just stay right here and drive to Santa's crazy, I'm going to stay right here. We're not leaving early. We're not voting on anything that's going to make the Santa's happy. I want to ruffle his feathers all day long and not get anything done. Boy, you better step the game up. You don't want to be the house that returns the least amount of bills to the desk of the governor. It won't hold well for those when they come up and get into a campaign for re-election. There'll be other Republicans that want to get business done and not stalled, installed, installed, installed. Although... If Perez and Ron DeSantis want to fight it out, I'd probably pay a couple dollars at pay-per-view to watch it. Be good moneymaker for the state. Number four. I listened for several hours of three United States presidents who do not know Jesse Jackson. Well, there you go. That's Jesse Jackson Jr. at Jesse Jackson's Memorial. Calling out the three presidents that were there. Let's guess which three presidents were there. Hmm, Obama. Hmm, Clinton. Hmm, Biden. Where was the rest? They weren't there. They weren't pandering. And I'm so glad that he called it out. Oh, look at these three right here. You guys didn't even get along with my dad, but you're still here. Well, why are you here? Pandering to it. Pandering to it. And when the sun calls you out, that's a bad look. That is a bad look. I just spent three hours listening to President's talk. I didn't want to hear him talk. You shouldn't let him talk. It was your dad's, but more you told him to kick rocks. All right, you're done. Take them off. Give them the old circuits pool with the hook. Don't do that. I'm just kidding. Number three. I'd vote for Wes Moore. I'd vote for Josh Shapiro, Governor of Pennsylvania. I'd vote for Marco Rubio. Okay. Talk about, what is it about Marco? He's an adult in the room. There is no questioning his qualifications for the job. If it's Marco and anyone other than Wes and Josh, you vote for Marco over the Democrat? Yes. Over Gavin Newsom? Yes. Over Kamala Harris? Yes. I'd vote for Marco Rubio over anybody that's out there right now other than Wes Moore or Josh Shapiro. Well, that's Stephen A. Smith, the up-and-coming Republican who doesn't know it yet, or realize that there's more money to be made in Republican commentary than there is in Democratic commentary. I don't know. One of the other. Who knows what it could be. But saying something that makes us all go, now hold up.

24:05

As a conservative, I've already assumed it's going to be JD Vance. But when you hear that Marco Rubio has the ability to cross the aisle and pull people over, you start going, wait a second, do we want Marco Rubio? But it would be unprecedented for JD Vance to have to step aside and become a vice president again or step aside to let Marco Rubio do it unless, you know, JD Vance was like, I'll be your secretary of state. Let's go. Maybe that's the way he'll do it. Who knows? Maybe he'll write off into the sunset and not want it, and Marco will get it all by himself. But I'm pretty sure I've assumed that JD Vance is going to be the guy tagged up with Marco Rubio. I would love to see a JD Vance Marco Rubio come up here in a few years and really make magic happen. It would be big for this country. It would be great for this party. And we could make so many great things happen. And I firmly believe that's what we're going to see anyway. But when Stephen A. Smith said that about Marco, I was like, man, he's really crossed the line. Like everyone really, really likes Marco. And by the way, unanimously confirmed. The only person. The only person. Everyone likes Marco. Approval rating matters, and it might be the guy who you see running for president after Trump. Number two. Few, I mean, virtually, nobody has like we, nobody has a system of mail-in ballots like we have. No other country in the world. France went away from it. They all went, you know why? Because it's corrupt. And Jimmy Carter, when he had a commission, frankly, I think it's probably the best thing Jimmy Carter did. He said, you can't have mail-in voting because it's inherently dishonest. And it's turned out to be totally dishonest. So we're going to fight for it. So that was Trump taking a question from the press about the Save Act, which by the way has been affectionately renamed to the Save America Act. Because it's about saving America. It's about voter ID. It's crazy that anyone would have a problem with voter ID. It's crazy, right? You've got to think, all right, let's really, really put this into perspective, right? They don't want you to be able to fly anywhere. They don't want to allow, you know, they keep a DHS shutdown. And now they are against you being able to verify who you are before you can cast a vote. To me, that's like asking your best friend who you know is a crooked person to be the banker in a game of monopoly. No, you're crooked as hell. You're not going to be the banker. I ain't going to try to beat you and the bank. That's what it felt like. And that's it. Number one. What Ms. Rice seems to be saying is that it's okay in America today.

27:19

to use the law to prosecute and harass your political enemies. I find that astounding coming from a person of her statute. That's the sort of thing that doesn't happen in America. That's the sort of thing that's only supposed to happen in countries whose powerball jackpot is 287 chickens and a goat. Right. Which, by the way, I bought seven tickets to that power ball. So I might have some chickens and goats to the house. I didn't know that you could buy that. I went online. You could buy it online. I was really blown away. I got me some chickens. I'm going to win big on that power ball. That would be the power ball I would win, by the way. 100%. I would win the chicken and goat. Have no place to put them. That would be the one that I would win. You know, the rhetoric is the message inside of this. All the rhetoric from both sides needs to stop. We need to get back to being Americans. We need to get back to having a cordial conversation about laws and understanding that a lot of Democrats are taking a stance that they didn't take five years ago, that they didn't take 10 years ago. They have flipped their stances completely. from the things that worked well during their administration and they're just being, without a lack of better words, Trump haters. Can't be a Trump hater if Trump is your president. You've got to figure out a way to be patriots and work together and make things happen. Because I'm going to start it and I've almost did it and I might still do it. What he said. And what I mean by that. Is every one of these politicians that you're seeing right now, and predominantly on the left, who are saying that they have a problem with voter ID, you can find a clip of them saying that we need voter ID from four or five years ago, six, seven, eight, ten years ago. There's a hundred videos of Chuck Schumer saying we need voter ID and all of a sudden we don't need it now. Why don't we need it now, but we needed it in? Oh, because Republicans are in charge. You're trying to save that. Because here's what's going to happen. If they would win the midterms, they're going to come back with some kind of voter integrity thing that's just like the Save America Act. They're going to say it's their idea. And then what's going to happen? Republicans are going to buck it. The same thing we want to get done, but because they want it and they would be in charge that the midterms will buck it. That's what we've done for years. But I have hope. I do have hope. The five at 835. But you know who doesn't have any hope is everybody that was hoping to see weed on the ballot. Ain't going to be no weed on the ballot. Just so you know, Supreme Court dismissed Smart and Save Florida group's case last night, late night, overnight. The group sued to get the ballot placement after signature verification issues in a few counties. The Amendment 3 sought to legalize recreational marijuana for adults 21 and over. We've had many conversations about this.

30:46

And the court ruled that the petition invalid, no jurisdiction over local canvassing boards. That's what they had to say. So True Leave, who created this smart and safe Florida group with $40 million. Just wasted that money. That money's gone. But there you go. It is out there. It's gone. It's no longer going to be there. You know, um... I hadn't had a chance to do it, so let me give you an opportunity right now to text in. Right now, you know, we have a new sister station, positively 993. Positively 993 has given you that good contemporary Christian music, that good news, the good, good music with that good message, that positive message, right? And I love this station. We'll wrap the show up next with something that my dad said to me yesterday that has me very worried about him. and a lot of you may not know about it. So we'll discuss it more coming up next right here on daybreak on 925 Fox News. The science department at 925 Fox News have reached a consensus. The 5 at 835 is always happening. Listen on the daybreak podcast anytime, anywhere. Our scientists also want you to stop asking why it starts at 837.

33:14

You know, this is a reason to keep our ears to the ground. So, by the way, Florida Senate passes the Medicaid work requirement bill, the SB 250. It is a bill that requires able-body adults from 19 to 55 to work if they're going to be on Medicaid, volunteer, or train 20 hours per week. And by the way, this is golden. I love the, I love this. This is great. By the way, it does exempt pregnant women, parents of young kids, disabled, full-time students, all these different things that it will exempt. But one of the things about the Medicaid and what's going on right now, and it's a conversation, and I want to say this is a great thing that the Senate did. I wanted to give them some love. But yesterday I had a phone call with my father. My father is on Ozempic for type 2 diabetes. It's not for weight loss or for anything else. He was prescribed it long before it became a cool weight loss drug. And he's on OZMPI. My dad is also on Social Security and on Medicaid as well. And he is on this shot. Well. For a while, it was covered by his insurance, and then it went up to like 40 bucks, and it was 40 bucks that he'd have to pay every month to get his OZempic so that he could have his type 2 diabetes medication. And then we got this great news that Trump RX was coming out. And Trump R.X was going to change the game for all medications across the board, and everyone would be giving the most favored nation price, right? We remember that conversation. Well, my dad is now paying $200 a month because of Trump RX for his medication. The price of the medication went up, so his cost went up. So this Ozempic that now used to be like $45 a month is costing him $200 a month. This is a senior citizen who's on a fixed income. Right? And now he's kicking out $200 every month for his Ozzympic. That's not covered by Medicaid. It's like something like $980 billed to Medicaid. He has to cover 20% of that, Rob. And he's getting them weekly? Is it a weekly thing or is it a monthly? I know it's $200 a month. So he probably gets the four shots. So the 50 bucks each instead of the 40 per month he did for the same four shots. They've quadrupled in price, basically. I'm wondering if this maybe has something to do with the adverse side effects that we're seeing. I don't know if you've seen Kelly Osborne or Ryan Seacrest lately. They do not look like themselves, and it's because of these drugs. Because of the most epic, you say. Yes, it's because of these weight loss drugs. Is that proven fact or is this a theory? No, that's a fact. Okay. I'm just curious. But, all right, I don't think that Kelly Osborne or Ryan, I definitely don't think Ryan Seacrest was ever a type two diabetic.
