These people are just idiots. I really, you know, I'm at the point where it's become really hard to have an intellectual debate with any of these people. The dumbing of the United States has arrived because how else do we get Trump presidency again? The last time the Alien Enemies Act was invoked, it was used to detain and deport German, Japanese, Italian immigrants doing World War 11. So raise a toast, give them their due for every blunder. We thank you, dumb Democrat. You've earned your streak. See you again next week. Wow. Listen, that is an old clip that has recently resurfaced, and it has resurfaced so massively that it has come to the attention of so many people. It's old. It's about a year and so old that she made this comment, and obviously somebody took this clip and buried it, and obviously the person who buried it. doesn't like her anymore and gave it to the entire world for us to view her saying World War 11. I mean, if you are elected to Congress, I certainly hope you have some grasp on world history. I hope you know that we have not been to 10 world wars. It would be something that you would just be able to understand that you wouldn't read it as 11. But she did. She read it as an 11. Now, let's talk a little bit about Ilhan Omar. Have you heard about her financial disclosure recently? Have you heard about this financial disclosure where her husband's assets were listed between $6 million and $30 million? And then, oops. No, that's an accounting error. It's only 18 to $95,000. There's no way, and I'm sorry, I'm trying to put the math together, where $6 million. and 30 million turned into 18,000 and 95,000. You know, it would be different if it was 600,000, an extra 0, an extra zero, it was an extra comma, unnecessary. The decimal was in the wrong place. But you just changed the numbers altogether. You just like, oh, no, an accounting error, that's way more than an account. You know how mad I'd be at my accountant and told me I was worth $6 million and then followed it up and said I'm only worth $18,000? I might call the police. You just robbed me. The real story is that she has made a lot of money since getting elected, and everybody wants to know where that money came from. And there can only be one of two assumptions. And this would only be an assumption on my own behalf. Is that money either came from? You defrauding the American taxpayer with the rest of the Somalians that defrauded the American taxpayer in your home state as a native Somalian lawmaker in a big scandal with Somalians and you have a lot of money. I mean, I'm just saying.

4:57

It's one possibility. And then the other possibility is she's joined in on the insider training scandal that so many lawmakers are beating the system by using their inside information to play the stock market and beat the stock market. It's one of two options. You know, I can't help but wonder if there is a way. for us to get out of Ilhan Omar and get out of this complete situation with her as a lawmaker. This is a, and I've said this before. We need to ramp up the federal investigation on her. Let's go ahead and ramp it up and let's push the DOJ and the FBI and look more into a full subpoena of all of her finances. Her marriage and immigration records find out if this brother's story is just rumor or real. And more importantly, dig into how much she is connected to the fraud going in Somalia. It's almost like we quit talking about the fraud in Minnesota so we've let her off of the hook. for some reason. We should work on finding somebody to run massively against her. And we have to understand that this is a threat to our democracy. When they say that President Trump may be a threat to our democracy, right? When you have somebody out there that's not from our country, and I'm not just saying, this has nothing to do with Hon Omar. I'm not calling her the personal threat. I said the fact that these. Non-native Americans are now elected officials with the ideology that America isn't the greatest place on earth and that they're here to fix it. They have... never said anything positive and great about the country. They seem to be the catalyst of the other side of it. You don't know the difference between World War 11 and World War II, which, by the way, is one of the most disrespectful things you could ever say, including to the numerous World War II veterans that I was on a honor flight with over the weekend. I could only imagine how they would make them feel when someone doesn't even understand the war that they were in.

7:18

She's not alone in the threat inside our Congress. There are others that we should look at that don't have love for America. There, you know, there's a, there's a. a pledge you take and an oath that you take when you become a military member. You take this oath and you swear to uphold the Constitution. And the same type of oath happens to a congressman or a congresswoman or a senator as they become a member of Congress. And when that happens, there should be some kind of accountability when you're not pro-American. It's really the core issue of our life right now is that we are so divided that we can't get to the centered point. And the center point isn't, well, we're going to agree on this and agree on that. The center point is what's best for America. And to be real. openly honest, what's best for America is what's happening to America. You have a 17% bigger tax refund. You've got a closed border. You've got less crime. The murder rate is lower in America than it's ever been. I mean, we can continually talk about strong law enforcement. You can talk about the political rhetoric that only comes from the left. When you have Democratic lawmakers. like Ilhan Omar, who are anti-American, who now are disrespecting World War II, and that clip come back out. I would love to know who resurfaced this clip, because it kind of, it has the, the smellings of somebody in the Democrat side of the world who is tired of Ilhan Omar, who was like, you know what, we've hit this long enough. Eric Swalwell, we're going to get rid of you. It's not that big of an issue, but this clip was buried for a year and a half. And now if you Google it, like if you just Google did it a lot of Omar really said, there's 300 articles in the past 24 hours on this thing. So it just got resurfaced and who resurfaced it, producer Rob thoughts? I mean, she did grow up in Somalia, yes. Yes. Sure, it feels like that she's lived through 11 world wars. Well, plausible deniability. There you go. Maybe she thinks there's been, that's a solid point, right? And is it time for you to go back home to Somalia? We don't mind. It may be time. Temporary. I don't want the temporary protection that we gave to Somalians during their. earthquake and all the drama and the violence they were having. It should have been what it said, been temporary, but obviously we are still working on trying to get that done. Coming up after the break, we're going to get more into what's going on with the White House.

correspondent's dinner shooter is we'll be joined with fox news as tanya j powers we'll find out charges is their motive has there been what comes next how long before we see him in court again uh how long is this case going to take all the questions that we want to know about the shooter we're going to get answered today as we go one-on-one with tanya j powers and we'll do that coming up next this is daybreak on 92 5 fox news rattling cages from city halls to beltway backrooms. This is 925 Fox News. Right all along. Welcome back to daybreak on 925 Fox News. The White House Correspondence Dinner and the Caltech graduate, tutor, mechanical engineer, and game developer, Cole Thomas Allen that committed the shooting, was in court. He saw his first day in court. And joining us now from Fox News is Tanya J. Powers, an award-winning reporter and a person who gives us all the details when it comes to things like this. Tanya, good morning. Welcome to the show. Let's walk through the charges that he has actually been charged with. Sure, thanks for having me on. The things we knew about going into yesterday's preliminary hearing were the charges for transporting a firearm and ammunition across state lines. We also knew that he was charged. Cole Allen, as I'm talking about, charged with discharging a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Added to that yesterday around the time of the preliminary hearing. was the attempted assassination of a United States president. That carries a sentence of up to life in prison. That is, you know, kind of where things stand as far as charges go at this point. Not sure if they plan to add any more or if that's the, you know, the end of those. He did make that preliminary appearance in court yesterday with a preliminary hearing, rather. He was, he has accepted the services of a couple of public defenders. So that is apparently who is going to, you know, represent him at this point. No word if, you know, he's plans to get a different lawyer or anything like that. Prosecution did lay out some of the facts of the case during that brief hearing. They, you know, said that he brought a pump action shotgun, a 38 caliber handgun, and three knives with him. He did not, Allen did not enter a plea. He is probably going to stay behind bars indefinitely. There is a hearing, a detention hearing that is set for Thursday. So we may learn a little bit more about the case at that point. What is the, what happens at a detention hearing, Tanya?

12:52

I'm assuming it's kind of like a bond hearing, but I'm not a lawyer, so I can't confidently say this is what's going to happen. That is for better legal minds than mine, which is I'm like everybody else who got my Facebook law degree. So, yeah. Caltech graduate, tutor, mechanical engineer, and a game developer. What does an educated guy, how does this guy, an educated guy, what are they saying about him storming the White House correspondent center? I mean, there's a lot of questions as to, you know, obviously the security stuff is getting discussed, even at a high level this week. We learned yesterday that the White House Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, is going to have conversations this week with not only the Secret Service, but also the Department of Homeland Security. There's talk of them, you know, revamping how security is done surrounding, you know, the president and administration, high-level administration officials. That is that those, you know, discussions are going to take place this week. Not exactly sure what day, but we do know that that is being looked at. As far as the investigation itself, the FBI director, Kash Patel, told Fox that they have lawfully gained access to Allen's device that was on him at the time, his cell phone. They are looking, you know, into that. They are also checking other devices that they, you know, paying during searches, things like that. They're talking to friends, family members. Also the New London, Connecticut Police. That is the police department that his brother called a couple of hours after the shooting on Saturday night to say that he had information regarding that incident. That is, of course, after his brother, that Allen had sent his brother, and I'm not sure who else, his writings that we now, you know, have been made public that we all have seen, probably, or at least heard about where he explains, you know, his grievances against President Trump, did not name him specifically, but talked about the actions of the Trump administration that he did not agree with, among other things. The fact that he didn't name President Trump immediately, did the prosecutors talk about that when they added the charge of attempt to assassinate the president? I'm not sure if they spoke about that in court yesterday. That was federal court when there were no cameras. allowed or recording devices allowed in federal court. And I was not there. So I don't know what all they laid out as far as, you know, their case against that. I'm assuming since it was a preliminary hearing, it was kind of nuts and bolts and apparently it didn't last that long. The manifesto-style email calling himself the friendly federal assassin. What other, was there a clear motive inside the manifesto? And did they reveal a motive yet? I mean, it gives us a lot of insight as to probably more so than other things we've seen in the past as far as these writings or manifestos or whatever you want to call them that kind of come out after a violent incident happens. A lot of those are just kind of like out there and unhinged. This one was more, here's how I did this.

16:07

You know, it laid out a lot more. I think it took a lot of guesswork out of things, honestly, for, for, you know, investigators because they didn't, you read that stuff and you're not puzzled as to what his, what his issue was. I mean, he pretty clearly says he has grievances against the Trump administration. You know, it has gotten a lot of attention as far as, like, he laid out, you know, that he was, you know, able to come across country with the weapons and get into a hotel and, you know, kind of alluded to the fact that he was kind of, I guess he was, he seems surprised that he was able to do all that. You know, it's a very, I think it's a really kind of, it gives a lot more insight into the thinking and the process of the whole thing than what we normally see and stuff like that. How long are they saying this case could play out? Oh, that is a good question. I'm not sure. I mean, it's the legal system. A lot of times things don't move super fast, especially when you have a high-profile case like this, they probably are being very careful not to make any kind of mistakes in the investigation or anything like that that could, you know, be a cause for an appeal down the line. So I would assume that they're taking their time with it to be very thorough. Well, I really appreciate you taking some time to discuss it with us this morning and going one-on-one with us. Tanya J. Powers from Fox News telling us about this. The three charges that Mr. Cole has now been charged with, and one of those being attempt to assassinate the president, could hold him life in prison. So it's not looking like he's going to get bail or we're going to see, he's going to see the outside of a jail cell anytime in the near future. Would you agree, Tanya? I mean, it seems like it is going to be, it's going to take a while to get to the bottom of things. Who knows what else they're going to find during this. Right. Who knows what else they're going to find. Well, I appreciate you calling it being on the show. We'll talk again real soon. Tony J. Powers from Fox News. You know. Thank you. I can't help but wonder. I can't help but wonder if this was a lone wolf of a pack. Was this more than one person? And are we going to see these intelligent lone wolves of a pack start to pop up? It's one of those things you can't help but wonder. The five at 835 is up next, and it almost has a complete theme, but it's not in whole. We'll get to it next, right? Oh, wait, I'm sorry. What's up, Rob? Was, did they call Alex Pretti a lone wolf? I don't remember if they did call him a lone wolf. Guy just shows up to challenge law enforcement with weapons in his hands. How many lone wolves is it going to take before we start to tackle the core of the issue? Right. If there's a bunch of lone wolves, then there's a pack that they all come from. Pack of wolves. I just think we need to be careful using lone wolf anymore because it doesn't seem to be the case. All right. There you go. Daybreak. Five. Next. 92.5 Fox News. Right. All along. From Livingston Road to Del Prado, you've made the right choice. This is 92.5 Fox News. Right. All along. This is daybreak.

19:31

And welcome back to the show here on 92-5 Fox News. The 5 at 835 is presented by Southwest Florida, oral and facial surgery, specializing in excellent care. Number five. We need Democrats who have the courage to stand up to the power brokers in our own party, let alone Trump and his goons. them back down with all due respect if they go low we don't go high we take them to the mud and choke them out oh wow I mean, that's a whole other level coming from Abdul El-Sayed, who is running for a city position in Michigan as a Democrat. And he proved exactly what the left is doing each and every day. And I can't even believe I'm sitting here saying this, Michigan, that Abdul El-Sayed is running and motivating your Democratic voters. It's a sign of times when you start to see the Democratic Party, not really the Democratic Party anymore. And it is starting to truly show its head here. Normal Michigan voters just heard their future leaders say choke them out. It's horrible to hear that. Rob? I see it. It just kind of makes me a shame to be from Michigan. You know, what's happened to the state? I wasn't going to point that out, but since you did, yeah, well, not everybody's perfect. You know, it's some of the biggest losers of the world come out of Michigan. I'm just saying. Apparently. Oh, bad. Number four. You can fill in blanks that don't exist. There are no blanks. We were there. It happened. There it happened. No blanks need to be filled in. And we sighed. We saw it. And it's terrifying. Her husband Luther and her daughter Frankie and her parents were there and I hugged him. And that was my first thought as soon as I thought that the coast was relatively clear. I was thinking about Frankie too. Yeah. And Ouija is a star. We're glad that everybody's friends was okay. Yep. No doubt. Well, CBS Mornings being the only morning show to actually call out the conspiracy hoopla and say, no, that's ridiculous. We were there. We saw it. We know it happened. We felt it. We heard it. The vibe. The energy of the building was all there. I think it's finally nice to have one network go out there and say that the conspiracy theories that are popping up. And by the way, where are these coming? Oh, it was staged. They were staged. You take something so horrific as some person running through security and the attempt to take out the entire administration, which already worried me because all three of them in the same roof at the same time is not something we should ever allow to happen. And I'm sorry to say that, but it's just very dangerous for this country. It becomes the designated survivor like that TV show, if that happens. But this...

22:43

This CBS news saying that the conspiracy theories, and I just want to say that I'm already hearing them, like from other people, like in the world, people I run to in public, like, oh, that didn't really happen. What do you mean it really didn't happen? What do you talk? What for what reason to get, let's talk about possible reasons for the conspiracy that you could say. He did it to get the big beautiful ballroom built. The ballroom's going to get built, whether or not this happens or not. And why would he cause a commotion to make it seem like that to get even more pushback from people to stop the building of the ballroom? So no, not staged. What could be the other reason? Oh, because you think he wants to draw attention to the rhetoric that you guys are, that the left is saying, no, he didn't have to do that. You're already saying it and it's happening. So any conspiracy out there that points the finger at this being fake, it itself should be questioned. Its source should be questioned. And we should go all the way back and say hello to George Soros, who's probably sourcing that. Number three. They have full on Trump derangement syndrome, okay? And it informs how they see the world and how they react and how irresponsible they are now is on full display for the whole country. I hope voters remember this in the fall. You've got to keep the grownups in charge and that's the Republicans. Speaker Mike Johnson giving it. And by the way, Speaker Mike Johnson, I'm going to come back to the Mike Johnson. Speaker Mike Johnson was our, I mean, was speaking the truth right there. Let the grownups stay in power. And what they're saying is coming out. It's time to be the bigger person. And it should be a battle of not who can give the best rhetoric or who can snap at somebody better, who can say something that's going to become a talking point. It should be a race of who can be the bigger person first. Who's going to become the party of grownups? Right now it's us and you have made no progress to try to meet us on Grottoville. You just want to meet us in the timeout corner. It's crazy to think. Number two. We're demonstrating what our birthright should have been. It sucks that on a regular basis, I'm having to fight with my phone, and I feel like I'm losing control over my life. It's so hard to stay intentional when these apps have been designed to manipulate us, and the only way we beat them is by coming together to define our generation ourselves, not let the big tech companies define us. And a shifting in cultural norms that minimizes the pressure to be online and increases access to the things that screens have been replacing for our generation. So this is a very liberal college, just so we know, UC Berkeley, a very liberal college out there saying no phone parties and being able to put the phone down.

25:35

I can't find a negative side of this. I can't find a negative point in this at all. I can say this is only a great thing. I can say how stressful it is as yesterday's show was done entirely without my phone. And you can't even get into the gate of this place without your phone. And I had to like beg Rob to come out and get me and he was like, are you going to buy me breakfast, bro? And I was like, buy you breakfast to come open a door. Come on, man, open the door. He was like breakfast. So I bought him breakfast and we had a great time and I appreciate it from opening the door. But when it comes to what... this no phone party, could this be a moment? And let's do it on both ends. If you take away the phone from, you know, not take it away, but you say, I'm going to take the phone away myself. I'm going to eliminate the phone. And you're a really big Democrat, right? Now you've been perished towards being more of a radical socialist because of the social media you've seen. And now you decide to go ahead and take a break from it. Does that bring you back? to your Democratic beliefs? Does it give you a chance to go back into your own principles that you've found in your life and really believe in the Democratic Party? Because the Democratic Party needs to be saved. Not for Republicans' sake, but for Democratic's sake. You guys are being taken over by Socialists, and pretty soon that party will be gone. That's not happening on the right, though. But at the same time, if we took and put our phones down for an entire week, Would it take us back? And if everybody did it simultaneously, would we all just be Americans again? We all just be one big happy country that has good debate and disagreements, but at the same time, we'll become one big community and one big group. And just to really wrap this around, if there's anything I really hope for, is that the Senate would be this ultimate lawmaker body that has this friendship and this bond like no other because they know they hold the ultimate power. But instead, it's a punching battle every day of who can vote for whose bill and who likes who and who don't like who. It's just sad. Number one. I disagree with Jesse. This guy did hear voices. They were Tim Walz's. They were Ted Lewes. They were Brandon Johnsons. They were CNNs. They were The View. They were MS. Now. Okay. I think this is a helpful assassination attempt because it is the first one to show that you can be radicalized by liberal smugness. And no Kings Day things. This particular person, Cole, who in 2024 took a radical shift. He was all about video games, all about video games. And then in 2024, his social media just shifted. It just shifted. And it was like overnight. It was like on and off. And when it shifted, it became one full of hate, one full of disdain for the Republican Party and President Trump in the administration. So it became one of those.

28:43

So where did it go wrong? And this is going to allow us to find the root of this. And I think it's nice to finally see that the left can actually be 100% blamed for this guy. This guy and his radicalization is because of your rhetoric and he said it in his manifesto. He went to a no king's rally. Rob, you went to a no king's rally, right? Yeah, I've been to a couple of them. Was there a lot of hugs and kumbaya going on? Absolutely not. Was there a lot of complaining like you got home late from a party? Yeah, like they were yelling, screaming, honking, megaphones, that whole thing. And as we heard, they just have no solid talking points whatsoever. It's just a TDS party at its finest. At its finest. And before I wrap up the. I did say real quick about Mike Johnson. My historian on the honor flight was named Mike Johnson. And it was so hard. I was like, bro, you live in D.C. and your name's Mike Johnson and you're involved in like veterans and a lot of politics and stuff. He's like absolutely. I said, is that fun? He goes, it is sometimes people want to take pictures with me. I said, I like it. I like it a lot. There it is. The 5 at 835. You know, it officially happened, and now that it has happened, it's a little sad. The Immocally Regional Raceway, the Drag Strip there at Amokly operated for 27 years, a family-owned dragstrip on county leased land at the Mockley Regional Airport. Well, it officially shut down this week to make way for the airport expansion, new aircraft hangers, and aviation growth approved by the Carrier County Board of Commissioners. And despite a petition. that they were able to garner 11,000 signatures and supporters begging to save it. The development took it to the next level, and the Hester family, founder Ralph Hester, the track manager, Thomas Hester, paid nearly $2 million in rent over the years and even got a short extension to finish the 2006 season. This actually hits home close to me, and the reason it hits home to me is because it was 2000, maybe 2001, maybe early 2000, late 2000, somewhere where I was able to take an American flag, not an American, well, actually, it may have been America, it was a starter flag and an American, but maybe both. And I was able to parachute those in to the Makkali Dragway. And it was a moment like... I will never forget, the cheers, the excitement, the people there, the amount of people that were dedicating to their hobby, their focus in life. And the thing I worry about now that they're shut down and that this is actually shut down, and it really does. It's a heartbreaking loss to True Collier County landmark, something that's been around forever. And I certainly hope that they find another outlet that's closer to home, a way to actually embrace their hobbies and their passion. Because when you lose your passion and you lose your hobby, well, you lose your hobby, then you lose your passion for said hobby, it's never just a bad for your soul. So I really am rooting for the draksters and the people out there that built these cars and now they have to drive.

31:56

you know, 100 miles are better to get to the next drag strip. And I just hope that one day we find a spot for us to rebuild the drag strip so these families can go out there and enjoy some great drag racing like they did in Mockley for years. The guaranteed promise that was made to all of us Floridians is next right here on daybreak. In 925, Fox News. Have you seen 925 Fox News lately? We've had a little work done. Check out the new 925 Fox News.com and app. We think you'll like Ong. Welcome back to Daybreak on 925 Fox News. I hope we're not over-promising and under-delivering with this particular statement. Now, we are going to go and get an amendment on the ballot. Voters have to prove it, which will say your homestead residents and Floridians can choose a homestead, that that's going to be exempt from property tax. So we're working on how to structure that. I've got to get the votes in the legislature. But I guarantee you that we'll be on the ballot, and voters will have a chance to do it. And that'll really be revolutionary. It will be revolutionary because you just guaranteed it to be on the ballot. I certainly hope you can guarantee that it's going to be on the ballot. 77% of Floridians would vote yes if it was actually on the ballot. Now, the Senate did hit the brakes, and a lot of people want to know why. Well, it's because you need to know where the money that you're going to eliminate is coming from. It requires a... full circle plan. You can't just say let's eliminate property taxes without knowing how you're fire, EMS, and where this money is going to come from and having the fiscal responsibility not to put yourself into a $47 million deficit while you try to figure something out. You know, I'm glad that they're doing this. But now that it's been promised, again, I certainly hope that it actually make it to the ballot and it actually works because lawmakers, you own homes. It benefits you too. It doesn't just say you get property tax if you make a certain amount of money and if you make more than that, you're still going to pay your property tax. It's not income based. It's based on you being a resident of Florida. If you're a resident of Florida, you own your home, you're going to have a property tax exemption that's going to matter to those who have a homesteaded property. So get your ducks in a line and get ready. Because if Ron DeSantis says it's going to happen, I got to believe that it's going to happen. Now, I do know that the pushback from the Senate in the Florida Senate is pretty big, as they do want to make sure that.

34:41

this is covered in every angle. But as a Floridian, as somebody who would sit here and jump up and down, let me be the first one to say, let's get this done already. You dangled the Peruvia. You dangled the carrot. Now let us eat it. We all want to have a little property tax relief, right? I want to thank Florida Representative Adam Botanah for joining us today. Fox News is Tanya J. Powers for joining us today and so many others. We got into some great conversations on the show and don't forget to make your way to 925 Fox News.com today and get all the information about the inaugural Lincoln Reagan Trump dinner.
