I am producer Rob, the host of the show, Jason Jay Jones. And the reason that I am bringing us back in is Jason and I have been tasked to write letters for the time capsule. And I wanted Jason to have a moment to reflect on his letter before he presented it to us. So Jason. That's me. It's on to you, sir. So. I'm going to preface this letter with, for me, it was just about sending a message. That's all I wanted to do. Dear friend in the future, my name is Jason Jay Jones. In the year 2026, I sit here in the warm embrace of Southwest Florida. I write these words to you across two and a half centuries. I was a conservative talk show host on 925 Fox News Radio, a proud business owner, a husband, and a father who poured his heart into every role God gave me. My days began before dawn with early radio shows, building something meaningful for my community, and coming home each evening to the laughter and love of my beautiful family. I leave this letter. in a time capsule with a heart full of a hope. Full of hope, wonder, and a few tears. Knowing that by the time you read this in 2,276, the world would have turned many times. Yet, I pray that the truce that guided my life still shine brightly in yours. As I write, my wife, Sarah, and I are raising two of our four precious children. Finnegan and Isabella, Hannah and Zach, or adult children who have started their own lives of their own. They are the greatest joys of my life. The reason I fought so hard every single day. I remember holding my son when he was just barely over two pounds after being born 72 days early.

The pride swelling in my chest, watching them learn to ride bikes or stand up for what's right. And the quiet moments around the dinner table where we gave thanks to God for another day together. Family wasn't just important to us. It was everything. It was the foundation we built our lives upon, the safe harbor in a stormy world. I wonder, dear friend, do you still feel the same sacred pool towards home and loved ones? Have my children's children's children carry forward that legacy of love and planted roots right here in this corner of Florida I cherish so deeply? I can't help but wonder about the place I caught home. Southwest Florida has been my life's ground, Buckingham, Northford Myers, Cape Coral, and all the surrounding communities that have shaped me. I've watched this lamb transform over 25 years from a quiet coastal haven into a vibrant, growing paradise for families who still value what truly matters, faith, freedom, and hard work. Through hurricane's economic up and downs and cultural storms, this region stood tall as most conservative part of Florida, a place that refused to surrender the principles that made America great. One memory that fills me with emotion is to this towering 250-foot flagpole we raised right here in our community. It wasn't built by government decree or distant donors. No, hundreds of everyday folks, 92.5 Fox News listeners, local businesses, veterans, families, and neighbors all chipped in together, raising nearly $500,000 through pure heart and determination. That flagpole still flies high today, a beacon of American pride. The very field where it stands once held thousands of American flags, each one honoring the innocent live lost on September 11th, 2001. I stood there among them, feeling the weight of their grief, the fire of their resolve. You may be standing on the same ground right now. I wonder, does it still stir your soul? Have our communities continue to come together like that? Shoulder to shoulder for something greater than ourselves. There are practical questions that linger in my mind, too. I served on the front lines of local battles speaking out on radio about Lee County School Board issues and endless burden of property taxes that made so many of us feel like that we were merely renting our homes. from the state. And the toll bridges that weighed heavily on, the toll bridges, hold on guys, and the toll bridges that weighed heavily on working families. Did we ever succeed in eliminating or reforming those property taxes? Are families still free to truly own their piece of the American dream?

or do the same struggles persist. I pray that by your era, liberty has only grown stronger, not slipped further away. But beyond politics and policy, what I want you to feel most is the deep hope I carried. I believe with every fiber of my being that family remains the backbone of any civilization worth preserving. The freedoms declared in 1776 life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are not relics of the past, but eternal gifts from our creator that demands our vigilance and sacrifice. And above all, I know that Jesus Christ is the one true Savior, the source of forgiveness, strength, and redemption for every generation. In my hardest moments, through the challenges of building a business, raising children in a challenging world, and facing uncertainty, I turned to him, and he has never failed me. As I close this letter, my heart overflows with prayer. I pray that my descendants, your ancestors, have built strong. Faithful roots right here in Southwest Florida. I pray that your world still honors the flag, cherishes the land, protects the innocent, and puts God first. May you know the same piece of love for country and family that sustained us. May freedom ring louder in your time than it ever did in mind. With profound love, gratitude, and unwavering hope for the future, Jason Jay Jones, 2006.

Thank you, Jason. I want to say, as with Rob, this letter touched me a lot. And I think at first, and I think I have said this out loud, when I first got handed this project, I was like, great, you're going to give me something else to do. But then I realized the impact. of this particular letter. This letter is going to be read in 250 years. We don't know we're 250 years from now. We don't know whether or not they'll even be powered, how things will be powered, how cars will drive. These are the letters that are... And how it'll go around. Sorry for my sobbing. I... I just know that this is something that is heavier than anything I've ever done. In the next 24 hours, I will experience two of the biggest, most... And I've had children. I've served this country. I've bought homes. I've had great accomplishments. But being honored by allowing to write this letter and submit it into the time capsule. And then tomorrow, to be a part of raising the tallest flag in Florida. In Florida. a world record setting flag, a 250-foot flag on 250 years of America. What an honor that I have been given that I have been bestowed upon me. The pressure is heavy, no doubt. It is. But celebrating America in their 250 years is something I love that we're doing. We're all doing together. So thank you very much for allowing me to share a little piece of what I'm going to put in here. Thank you for allowing me to share my emotions with you. I think it's a, a little tail on my sleeve that I wear sometimes that I don't watch public commercials during the holidays for this very reason right here. Just so everybody knows. I don't. I love public commercials, but I'm not watching during the holidays of the kid coming home from service and making dad some coffee and mom's crying and I'm crying too because... You know what does it for me are these commercials that have like dads and daughters or fathers and their kids or these... these moments that I know I can still cherish, but one day they'll be long gone. There is so much we are to be proud of here in Southwest Florida. By the way, I cannot let today go by without noticing the fact that. Not one, not twice, but now three times we've had big wins out of Lee County as Fort Myers Beach is getting their community pool. They just rendered it. They're going to start breaking ground and they're getting that done. Another core recovery project happening in Lee County getting things done. That's awesome. Give them some love, right? When you get it done and I spend a lot of time kind of knocking them for not getting it done. So when they get it done, I got to, you know, prop them up. So you did a great job. Three great wins this week for the league. level. It might actually give some of the resort pools or run for their money. Yeah. And I think what they've got, what they have planned for that on Fort Myers Beach is solid. So how about that? Three big Wentrali County, all three of them all four Myers Beach inside the last three days. That is what we can be proud of when you're here in Southwest Florida, being proud of the moments that we shared together and the growth that has got us to where being the most conservative county in all of Florida. And I firmly believe that. Yeah, and it gives our community an opportunity to finally move beyond the storm, right? We've been staring at these structures and ruins for years as we wait for permitting and all of that to get done. And now that we're starting to get these things moving and going, Fort Myers is going to look a lot different a year from today. Absolutely. And it's going to look a lot different from 250 years from today when this time capsule gets unburied that we are working very hard in so many people, man. I mean, they have come up and shared with me great uncle stories. They've come up and shared. I mean, there is so many deep connection of veterans here in Southwest Florida. There's so many deep connections of veterans who bring their family members and their loved ones photos down here to submit. And there's so many that we're going to have to get a bigger envelope. We're going to have to get a bigger boat to get them there. So there you go. So wonderful to have you out here today. and so many people have stopped in. I tried to write down everyone's name as they swung in. Yeah, I had an opportunity to meet a lot of people this morning. It's been wonderful to meet those of you who invite us into your cars and your living rooms every morning for your commute. So the president of the United States, President Trump, has written a letter about the 250-foot flagpole and the raising the flag. And tomorrow, I'm also being given an honor to read this letter. Fantastic. So what a moment like no other. That's going to be so exciting. Like, yeah, come on. The president has recognized the tallest flag in... the state of Florida and wrote a letter to honor that flag and the city uh in this in the in the community and it's a community deal this whole thing was a community uh this is the number one draft pick coming up here right now for the uh miami heat just so we know look at this guy what is he's like he's got a duck to walk inside 11 foot ceilings like look at this guy man who he totally threw me off base when he walked up he's one of those guys right Right. You know what he does for a living? He replaces ceiling tiles. That's what he actually does for a living. It's so easy for him. He just reaches up and does them real quick. No ladder needed at all. God, that's a big guy. What was I talking about before I got scared by the guy who was nine foot tall walked up on me? I'm just sorry. I just got a little nervous. He's walking up on me again. We should be happy because he's on our team. Right. That's true. Right. That's true. That's true. This guy after six. Oh, man. What was I talking about, though, before he threw me off completely? Well, we got President Trump who has composed a letter for... How did that guy throw me off from that? How did he throw me completely off from there? President Trump has written us a great letter to honor the flag raising, and there is a moment where we will honor the president, honor the flag, and honor the community all at once. He had already gone and we got married in 2000. Wow. How was that for you when he went when he was gone and you had to like go through the whole process of growing up basically and becoming a full-fledged woman right but without him?

The one that he was talking about his teleprompter. That's President Trump talking about his teleprompter. He's like, I'm not using a script because these things don't work, and the one on the left doesn't work at all, which is kind of ironic. I agree. And you know what that shows you is that some of his biggest moments and some of his best moments are when off the cuff. And you'll get it. Now, so I will, let me counter that. Some of his worst moments speaking are off the cuff. So you kind of get both ways on it, man. There you go. I just want to say it. Number four. You're trying to steal the election like the Democrats. Oh, my goodness, gracious. There you go again. James, you're killing me, man. The reality is this. That is a matter for the court. I actually respect the judicial system. We have to make sure that we do that the right way. James, I know you don't respect the judicial system. Your whole life has shown that. The simple facts are this. So Jay Collins and James Fishback had a debate for second place. They're trying to find out who can get the, what is it, the red ribbon? Which one is it, the blue ribbon? Which one? Blue ribbons, like the little second place for everything that you get because you don't get the trophy. I think the blue ribbon is number is one, right? First place, red ribbon. The yellow ribbon. You know, here's the deal. They had this debate.

Jay points out the fact that he's never been honest. We have said it on this show before. Daybreak did the first ever interview with James Fishback after he announced. We were the first one to interview him. He told us that the lawsuit with his previous employer was settled, done, and over. And we found out a month later that it wasn't over and that he was found to be liable and owed them a bunch of money that he wasn't paying. And so we found that out right here. So I think that Jay was just pointing that out. And that's, it was okay to me. Number three. You're a GOP or you are Republican and you got issues with immigration. I ain't got no problem with you. I might be pro-choice, but you pro-life, that's your prerogative. I ain't got no problem with you. You're about safety in the streets. You're about prioritizing national security. I ain't got no problem with you. There's plenty of Republicans I listen to. And don't mind listening to and don't mind vibing with it. Don't mind Stephen A. Smith right there. There's plenty of Republicans. Now, he's definitely been a straight talking liberal recently. Only because they listen. I know. Conservatives will listen to him now because we can tolerate the fact that he's speaking common sense. Here's what Stephen A. Smith is saying. We can have a conversation without the rhetoric. We can have a conversation without the words, word slinging, the bad word slinging, or the mud slinging. We can have a civil conversation, and that's cool. You can like one thing, and I can like another. That's cool, but as long as the mission in hand is America, and we're trying to accomplish making America a better place for each and everybody, then we can all continue to do that on. But unfortunately, you're not getting that at all from the left. Number two. Just a quick show of hands on the stage and in the audience, quick show of hands if you voted for Ron DeSantis in 2018. Jay, why didn't you vote for Ron DeSantis in 2018? Well, sorry, I wasn't really listening to your question. Did you vote for Ron DeSantis in 2018, yes or no? In 2018? Yes. That's a no. That's a no. We call this equal opportunity inside the five. Now this is fishback firing back at Jay Collins and say, and Jay couldn't. Yes. That's all you got to say. You could say whether you did or not. Because they can't prove that you didn't. Right. Yes. Why did you hesitate? That's a no. Win for fishback on that particular moment right there. Big win for fishback. That was, by the way, they're saying now that the right, the, the people in the, you know, that are out there. commenting on this or whatever you want to say what it is. They're basically rumor that they don't think he should be allowed to run anymore because he didn't vote for Ron DeSantis and he's lieutenant governor. Like, what? Are you selling me? Like, listen, I hope he comments on that clip and I hope he comes out in front of it, but if he doesn't, it's a bad look altogether. Number one. This is not your granddaddy's Democrat Party. This is not the grand Democrat Party of JFK. This is a full-blown communist revolution that is taking over Capitol Hill right here in Washington, D.C., just a few steps away from where we are sitting right now. The inmates are running the asylum. These are crazy people who are advocating against what I call the three peas, prison, police, and private property. They don't want any of those things, and those are the ideals that founded this.

I guess just how to learn, how to learn, keep things in order. I grew up with it. What do you do now? I'm retired. You went all the way to... Disabled vet. The disabled vet. All right, all right. I was just curious if you came out of the military and started a different career field or anything like that. Well, I used to do avionics on F-14 Tomcats. Oh, cool. And then I... used to go with old reel-to-reel players and sold on eBay for 15 years. Real-to-reel players. That's amazing. I know what they are. I know what they are. I mean, I used to have to run phone calls on a radio station with reel-to-reel, and I'd have to cut it, splice it, and flip it over for the curse words. And only a few people in the world even know what I'm talking about right now, and you happen to be one of them.
