Tuesday edition of the show. I'm your host for the next three hours, Mandy Connell, and that over there, he's Anthony Rodriguez. Ball, ball, ball, ball. Half of the broadcast team of the A to Z podcast, which he does with Zach Seekers, another familiar voice on the program as well. Got that going on, we've got a lot. Oh, boy, let's just jump in, shall we? Let's just jump in, because we've got stuff to talk about today. Find the blog by going to mandy's blog.com. That's mandy's blog.com. Look for the headline that says 41426 blog. Victor Marx can't be bothered. And what are peptides anyway? Click on that. And here are the headlines you will find within... For the United States of America. Good evening, Mr. Mr. Mr. North and South American. All the ships and clip is and see. Let's go to France. Today on the blog... Victor Marx's garbage campaign strategy disrespects voters. What the heck are peptides anyway? It's a living hot sauce edition. Are you paying attention to Tulsi Gabbard? Two members of Congress are out for gross things. House Wallwell groomed young women. The state is about to take the rest of local pot money. What will the U.S. blockade mean for Iran? That, as China runs the blockade, as Cherry Creek Schools turns, continues. This murder trial... makes me so sad. Attacking the Pope was the bridge too far. Tech makes kidnapping so much harder these days. Who will disarm Hezbollah? Democrats refuse ID to vote, but demand it to recycle. GLP ones needed off ramp. The bloated Federal Reserve needs a diet. Three new residents are in Rocky Mountain Arsenal. Next door users really are the nosy neighbor. A public health agency offers discount vasectomies. I love Garrett Bull. But how much did he tip? It's the last week to enter. Winnie the Pooh is loose in Weld County. Yes, the Rockies are better this year. This alarm clock seems excessive. Is this a great omen or what? Those are the headlines on the blog at mandy's blog.com. Tick, tack, toe. A winner. Yes, it was, Nancy. I stuck the landing on that one. Just stuck it. It was fantastic. Okay, let's jump right in. So on May 6th, I am moderating with my good friend and a show partner on the Mandy and Deb show, Deb Flora. We are going to be doing an event with Douglas County citizenry. Federated Republican women. Wait, Federated women. Oh, geez, I always get this backwards. Federated Republican women of Colorado. We say that. I know I deserve that. And the Lincoln Club of Colorado. I apologize to the federated women. If I got that name wrong, I always get that. Little bit, I'm so sorry. But there's three organizations that are coming together to do a forum on May 6th for the candidates for governor. Now we do know that Representative Scott Bottoms and Victor Marks came out of the assembly. Barb Kirkmeyer has petitioned onto the ballot. I don't know if it's been approved, but I've got to tell you, there's a zero percent chance that a candidate, as squared away as Barb is, is not going to turn in enough signatures to make sure that their signatures are going to be complete.

6:27

So Barb Kirkmeyer is going to be on the ballot. And then Greg Lopez, who was running as a Republican and then dropped out of that race to run as an independent. Those are the people that we were going to talk to at this, you know, event. Everybody said yes, except Victor Marks. Apparently. The Marx campaign has decided his campaign strategy is to mirror Joe Biden's campaign strategy, which was hide in his basement as long as possible. Do not answer any difficult questions. Don't allow people who don't believe your line of bull to ask you any of those questions and then just try to slide through the primary in the hopes that what? He's going to get to the general election and the Democrats are just going to let that same strategy slide? I'm beginning to think he doesn't actually want to win. I think he's just, it feels like he's using it as a fundraising apparatus because see, here's something you need to know about unused campaign funds. They can be donated to a nonprofit, like a church or a ministry, perhaps, like the one he has. I am beyond frustrated that the guy got 39% at the assembly, but I'm not surprised. I'm beyond frustrated that really intelligent, smart people that I know seem to be in the bag for Victor Marks. Because in my mind, the guy is an empty suit. He is whatever you want to project onto him in addition to the tough guy bravado that he loves to talk about. He loves to tell people that he can disarm. He's the fastest disarmor in the world, and that very well may be true. But you think a guy who was the fastest disarmor in the world would not need six armed men around him at a friendly event like an assembly. And yet, I've been told that was the situation. I've also been told that he put himself above the crowd, didn't come down and glad hand with any of the people at the assembly. Isn't that interesting? I mean, think about that as a strategy as a politician. Because a politician is running to represent the people, right? How in the world are you supposed to be able to represent the people when you can't even meet them face to face? How in the world are you going to be governor with a Democratic legislature because I don't see any chance in hell? Or anywhere else that the Republicans take back the House and the Senate in Colorado. It is not going to happen. Now, there's possibilities to make some grounds here and there. But you're going to have to deal with a Democratic legislature and you're, what, too afraid or what, to come and face difficult questions before your two televised debates. And real quick, how did that work out for Joe Biden the second time? How did it work out when he hid, or rather I should say his staff, hid from him? And they hid him from everyone. How did that work out in the debate?

9:41

So apparently, Victor Marx is going to do the two debates. They're going to say no to every forum, and they already said no to the Douglas County Citizenry Federated Women of Colorado. Oh, Dagnavitt, I'm going to look this up very quickly because I know I have it in here because I constantly get it wrong. Okay. Well, let's see. How we say that? You know what? I deserve that. Thank you, Donald. I appreciate your commentary. Douglas County Citizenry, Douglas County Republican Women and Lincoln Club of Colorado. I don't know if that's right. Now that I read it, Lincoln Club of Colorado as well as, oh no, as one of the Colorado Federation were, never mind. So I didn't have any of that right. Just don't listen to me. I have no idea what I'm doing. Nonetheless, the forum that was with three organizations in Douglas County, which is a big Republican part of the state, can't be bothered. Doesn't want to meet the voters. How many times have I said on this show? If you have an opportunity to go see a candidate live, go watch it. Not only do you get to see how they perform under pressure, you can also see how they behave before the event. One of the reasons I don't like Ted Cruz, and I promise you this non sequitur is worth it. Just stick with me for a second. One of the reasons I don't like Ted Cruz was several years ago. I got invited to the Western Conservative Summit. Actually, I didn't. My husband got invited to the Western Conservative Summit to come do the Pledge of Allegiance as a veteran. And so we're there and we're backstage. And Dennis Prager walks up. And I love Dennis Prager, guys. I'm an unabashed... Dennis Prager fan. I love his show. It's so different than anything else that's on the radio. Obviously, he's had some horrible health situations in this last year or so, but nonetheless, I am excited about meeting Dennis Prager. Now, there's a group of like 10 people standing around in a loose circle and we're having a very spirited conversation and everyone's participating and Dennis is talking and we're all just, it just was great. It was great. It was loving it. And we're having this big exchange of ideas among all these people that are standing backstage and Dennis Prager. It's just cool. And then here comes Ted Cruz. And we're kind of open the circle so Ted Cruz can join the circle. No, no, no, no, no. Ted Cruz walks across. Hey, Dennis, I'd love to chat with you. Let's go in this room over here. And he busts up our great conversation circle. And he took Dennis Prager back away into a room and I didn't get to talk to him anymore. And I was mad, mad, mad, mad. But that's the same thing. As what we're seeing here, it's like the notion that somehow you should not have to be among the people in order to get elected is downright disrespectful. And I don't use that word very often. I hate it when people are like, you disrespected me. Here's the first thing. You will not be disrespected if you don't care about whether or not the other person respects you. Genuinely, you want to never feel disrespected again. If anybody gives you crap, just really consider, do I care about their opinion? The answer is no, a vast majority of the time. You'll never be disrespected again. But nonetheless, in this context, when you are allegedly asking people for their vote, you can't be bothered to meet him?

12:56

And I have a question for any of you who, yes, semi-professional radio, correct, sir, correct. It's now spread to this day part as well. Would you, if you have, and I've been emailed and I've had text messages about this issue, but I want to know if any of you who have been to an event where Victor Marks was, did you or anyone in your group have the ability to interact directly with the candidate? And I mean, shake a hand, have a conversation for 30 seconds, 40 seconds, whatever. I'm talking that minimal, right? Because what I'm hearing is he does these events at churches or whatever, and then his, quote, people, keep the people away from him. And I'm genuinely curious, really genuinely curious. If you've had an experience or you've seen him, allow people to walk up and have a conversation. The first job of any candidate is to win, this from the Common Spirit Health text line at 56690. So the only question should be, who can beat Michael Bennett? I like your attitude. I like your moxie. I'm going to be perfectly honest. I think a lot of Victor Marx's stories about his big acts and everything else are crap. I don't believe him. At all. And I realize I'm going to get a bunch of text messages saying, you need to go to one of his events. You'll see, uh, no, no, I need evidence. I don't need to see the man tell me the story in a different way. Out of all these thousands and thousands and thousands of women and children that the man has saved, not one of them will come forward and testify about that. Doesn't that seem weird? I heard he has a story about giving stuffed animals to children and they have Bible verses in them in Gaza. That could get that child killed in Gaza. Things don't add up. And I don't understand Republicans who just go, oh, that guy's it. He's a man of faith. He's strong. He's macho. He's all those things. And we like him and we're not going to ask any follow-up questions. That's the problem that I have. Mandy, he came to Douglas County's assembly. He spoke less than five minutes on the stage and he booked it out of there. There you go. There you go. Mandy, he always just leaves. Mandy, those who can make one pass and go to an observation point act like cult leaders. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. This texter said this primary is going to be tough vote for Barb or against Bennett. I'm going to say this. I think I do not want Phil Weiser to be the nominee. And I'm just going to be honest, I think that his performance as Attorney General, where I cannot recall, and maybe there is something, and I hope we get the chance to interview him. But I can't recall any significant law enforcement action that has been taken by the Attorney General's office that wasn't about suing Donald Trump. So he used the Attorney General's office to try and further his political aspirations. I don't like that. I don't want somebody like that as governor. We already have somebody like that as governor, right? We've got that with Jared Polis. So I don't want you to vote against Bennett. I actually think Michael Bennett would be a better governor than Phil Weiser.

16:34

At least with Michael Bennett, you know what you're getting, right? You understand. I mean, with Phil Weiser, I've seen nothing but naked political action. And yes, Bennett is a politician and he's a Democrat politician. I get that. But yeah, I think Barb's going to need the help more than you have a chance to beat Michael Bennett. But that's just me. Mandy, Victor Marks, Fowler, Colorado. He arrived late just in time to speak, then stayed to visit at his table like the others to speak with individuals. Mandy, can Victor possibly have a fear of germs? Well, you think you would talk about that, right? Really? Because I've got to tell you guys, occasionally I will meet or interview. an orthodox rabbi or an Islamic imam and they don't touch females. So I go to shake their hand and they say, I'm sorry, but to their credit, they just explain, right? Oh, I'm sorry, this is why I don't do that. I hope you understand. Okay, no problem. It's fine with me. Mandy, what I'm hearing about Marx makes me think of Dan Mays. Oh, so well put up, texter. Dan Mays, for those of you don't remember, maybe you weren't here, or maybe you weren't paying attention to politics, and there's no shame in that. But Dan Mays came into the race, and he was up against a sort of establishment politician, Scott McGinnis. The Tea Party was on the rise. McGinnis did some dumb stuff. I can't even remember what. And all of a sudden, this guy, Dan Mays, comes out of nowhere talking about being an FBI informant and undercover drug cop and all of this stuff. And the Republicans were like, oh, he's strong, he's good looking, he's tough on crime. He's our man and did not ask any more questions. And what ended up happening was Dan turned out to be a complete fabrication. A third party candidate in the form of Tom Tancredo ran on the Constitution Party, and eventually it went, John Hickenlooper became governor. Tom Tancredo came in second. Dan Mays came in third. And the big difference between Dan Mays and Victor Marks is, Dan Mays never wrapped himself in Bible verses. And that is what Victor Marx is doing. And that's the part that really, really makes me mad because I'm from the deep south. And a lot of the older people, when I sold insurance to old people in the deep south, I would go into people's homes and these are people living in really a lot of poverty, very, very poor neighborhoods. Sometimes there was a woman that I had as a client. You could see through the walls on her home because it was just a clabbard house, right? There was no drywall on the inside. You could see through the wall. So these are people living in poverty. And yet they would be sending money. to these horrible, disgusting televangelists on television or the radio who we're going to heal them and, oh, just send a system. We're going to send you holy water so these poor people are being prayed on by people pretending to be people of God. And I don't know about Victor Marx's heart. I would not ever, ever say that I could look into someone else's heart and say, you know, I don't think you're doing this right as a Christian. I'm not going to do that.

19:55

But if there's any chance that he is taking money from people with any other motive than what he's doing, then I don't have any patience for that or any tolerance for that. I'd love to know exactly if you guys could ask Victor Marks a question. What would that question be? Because I know you have to have questions. We all have questions, right? I'm curious because I have questions and I'll give you my questions in the last segment of this show. But if you wanted to ask Victor Mark's questions, what questions would you ask him? And then maybe I'll make it a blog post and I'll post it on one of his ya-rah-rah, Victor Mark's pages and maybe we'll get some answers that way. Because he sure is hell not going to come on this show. He's not going to go anywhere except where you can get slavish devotion from people who will never ask or be allowed to ask a difficult question. That's the reality. And it's sad. It's really, really sad that someone, for whatever reason, either a lack of self-confidence, which I doubt he has because his ego far outstrips his level of strategy, in my opinion. But maybe there's something I don't know. I have no idea. Mandy, me and hubby have been saying that about Marx a la Mays since January. Mandy, Marx is a charlatan. It doesn't matter anyway. It's not going anywhere. I don't know if he is or not. I really don't. I do believe that they were disappointed with their 39% at the assembly. They told someone else on a different radio station that they were going to go over 50% at the assembly. That has to be questioning. My question is, Victor, why don't you answer questions? Good one. It's kind of like asking the genie for more wishes. Hey Mandy, road trip out to Sterling this Sunday as Victor Marks will be visiting a local restaurant. Explains all the Victor signs I saw today out and about. Okay, Texer, if you are in Sterling, I wonder if you're in Sterling, I want you to go to that event. I want you to go, and I'm not even asking you to go and like ask, why want you to be on the main? Lots of people have asked that and we get no answer. It doesn't matter. I don't care at this point. Let him enjoy his basement strategy. But I would love a report back on your thoughts, on what exactly you see. I mean, I just want you to go in, eyes wide open, and give me your opinion and what your gut says. Mandy, simple question to Marx, why should I vote for you? And you know what you will get back? I get the question. You will get back the same campaign pablum. Colorado needs a strong fighter and blah, blah, blah. This texter said he's an undercover Democrat. I got to tell you, I am kind of... In that camp. Like if you, come on, the Republican Party has been so beset by incompetence that the Democrats don't even have to try Skull Duggery. The Republicans are doing it to themselves. I asked you guys if you had questions for the candidate for governor. He is ongoing to be on the ballot, on the Republican ballot for governor.

23:08

And I'm glad that there is a very important election between Bennett and Wiser that will kind of keep Democrats in their lane, right? Because otherwise, if I were a Democrat, I would totally, if I were a left-leaning unaffiliated, I would totally vote for Victor Marks. Because I think the Democrats are salivating at the thought of running against Victor Marks. So a lot of you have texted in. Some of you have really good questions like this one. Mandy, you can text to 56690 by the way. Mandy, I would ask what he thinks of Trump's recent post of him drawn in likes of Jesus and his thoughts on his comments on the Pope. By the way, I'm writing these down. I'm writing them down. If I could ask Victor a question, it would be what is his plan for getting the spending and the state budget under control? Also, what would he do to remove the red tape handcuffs and invite businesses back into the state? Yes, I know it's a couple of questions, but that's what's on my mind. Mandy, there was another candidate who had a lot of charisma. His name was Barack Obama. Yep. More than anything, how does a Republican get votes? Too many offals. And this is the other question that I think is legitimate. Right now in the state of Colorado, independence, unaffiliates are the largest political group or non-group, however you want to look at that. That is the largest affiliation in the state. Meaning you have to win over people that have decided to not run as a Republican who don't care if Tina Peters gets out of prison. They really don't. They just want to know if the roads are going to be paved right, how you're going to pay for it. And I think a lot of people, except in the Denver Metro, just want to be left alone. So how do you win their votes? Because there's way, way, way, a lot of them. Mandy, there's a large contingent of the GOP that is in the mindset of trying to out Jesus the other candidate. I'm struggling down here in Fremont County to get information on issues other than the candidate's religious views. Victor Marks fits their mold perfectly. Here's a question. Question for Marks. Where's the proof that his organization saved 43 abducted girls? Michael Brown claims law enforcement reports do not mention Marx or his group. I'd like to ask a lot about stuff like that. A lot. Mandy Victor is coming to the J&L Cafe in Sterling Sunday night, the 19th at 9 a.m. Just FYI'll try and go. And again, you guys, I don't want to, I don't want to like have people go and be disrespectful. I really want you to listen. I don't want you to listen with a critical eye. And if you do have a chance to ask a question, make sure you preface it with knowing that Colorado is a majority unaffiliated state, how does your campaign speak to those or whatever your question is? Any question about how are you going to do this with the state? Like if you become governor, how are you going to do this? It has to be prefaced with knowing you're going to be working with a Democratic legislature. Like, That's just, for anybody to say, oh, the Republicans are going to take that. They're just, that's idiotic in the state. It's just idiotic. Especially in this midterm, can we just talk about this for one second? This midterm election could very well be a bloodbath for the Republican Party. A lot has to go right between now and then to make it not be a bloodbath for the Republican Party. Gas prices have to come way down.

26:33

way down. And I would argue that the federal government is going to have to reduce spending so mortgage rates can come down because they're tied to the 10-year treasury. So a lot's going to have to go right for us to maintain remotely the numbers at the federal level, but that's going to be a drag on the ticket all the way down. I worry about Colorado's congressional representation. I think that there are races in play that have not been in play before in the House of Representatives, and that should concern everybody. In any case, Mandy, maybe Victor should take a lesson from the scriptures, even Jesus-based groups that were not favorable to his views. Exactly. Exactly. But if you go to the event on Sterling, let me know. I'd love to hear from you on Monday to tell me how that was and what you thought. Mandy, my question to Victor Marks would be, what do you think about the work around government has been using to avoid Tabor, meaning the taxes and fees? See, now, you guys, that isn't, I'm just going to let you know. That's not a good question. Because what is he going to say? He's going to say, oh, I hate it. I absolutely hate it. What I would ask is, what are you going to do to stop the work around that Democrats have been using about Tabor? How would you stop that? That would be a better way to ask that question. Same conversation, more forceful and definitive question. So I'll fix that. Mandy, I would ask how he would get the Democratic-controlled legislature to bring forth bills he would be willing to sign. Legit question right there. Mandy would be awesome to see an AI version of Mandy as Zena Warrior Princess and hear her battle cry. I think I would be a really good Zena Warrior Princess. I mean, she was Brunette, and I am not. But I think I would be a very good Zena. Mandy, what's your name? Who's your daddy? No, we're not going to ask those questions. Actually, no, I mean, with Victor Marks, there is some question about that, but that's not what I'm going to ask. A lot of people are pointing out that he's changed his name over the years. He's changed his name, but there's a lot of reasons to do that. And I can't get as upset about that unless there is some, like, criminal past under the old name that we don't know about yet. Mandy, Marx is holding a meeting at a restaurant at 9 a.m. on a Sunday. That's church time. What's he thinking? Well, the restaurant posted that that was just, he's in a bunch of different areas, and that's how it shakes out. So Sterling, get up, 9 a.m., go to the later service at your church. Mandy, do you think that Victor might be listening to your show right now? Absolutely not. I'm very honest. I don't think there's a 0% chance he's listening to this show. His ego doesn't want to hear himself be torn down. he's just not going to do it. And then when people ask him, did you hear what Mandy Conall was saying about you? He's like, I don't listen to her. And he can mean it, plausible deniability. I'm telling you, I think I have a pretty good idea of what's going on in this guy's head. He thinks he's way more clever than he used to be. Mandy, I want to know how he's going to cut the budget. That goes back to an earlier question that I wrote down, but it already went through the text line. And that is, um, What is your plan for getting the spending in the state budget under control? Great question. How do you cut red tape to lower businesses back to the state? Great question. What do you think of Trump's Pope's comments? Read that one. Great question. Great question. Mandy, I'd ask Victoria why he's afraid of you. I'm sure that was a typo.

30:04

Because I bet if his name was Victoria, he would totally come on this show. Mandy, I used to be an original Tea Party member and I remember the fiasco of Dan Mays. This is Dan Mays 2.0 on steroids. Because now we've got, instead of just, you know, a skull duggery and nonsense, we've got it wrapped in scripture. We've got a man invoking religion in order to get elected. That all, I mean, that just makes me uncomfortable. I'm not going to lie. I don't like it. Now, it's not that a religious person can't run for office. That's not it at all because I'm absolutely fine with someone having a relationship with God where they, you know, ask for guidance and strength and help and all of that stuff. But this is much different. This is leading with God in order to get elected and that makes me very uncomfortable. And I would hope it would make other people uncomfortable as well. You can be, you know, Mandy, where'd you get all your campaign money? Well, that's, that is actually one area where it's pretty easy to check. They all have to find campaign finance reports. You can actually look and see where his money's coming from. That's not even a mystery. Anyway, we're going to shift gears just a minute. And when we get back, I'm not going to spend a ton of time on this. It is a huge national story. The horrible, gross, disgusting information about Eric Swalwell is actually getting worse. And now it's claimed his scalp and forced a scumbag Republican in Texas to announce his retirement as well. Oh, big goings on. We'll do that next. What's going on, everyone? Let's wrap up our conversations with Eric Swalwell, because after this, I hope to never mention this disgusting human beings name on the radio again. So in 72 hours, he went from the frontrunner candidate in California to dropping out of the race and resigning from Congress over what he has said are, quote, false allegations. I'm sorry, you don't give up everything. over false allegations and more women are coming forward. And they're not coming forward with, he was gross and tried to kiss me. A woman has come forward and said, he drugged and raped me. That's pretty significant. But there's another upside here that I am also equally excited about from the other side of the aisle. Republican Representative Tony Gonzalez says he's out after this term in Congress. He's too much of a coward to actually just resign like he should. You know what he did? Did you hear this? Oh yeah, he had an affair with a young staffer in his office who then killed herself. So now he's out as well. So I figure great, fantastic. 100% I'm here for it. I mentioned this yesterday that it's remarkable some of the people that are coming out now and essentially saying, hey, yeah, we all knew he was a scumbag. And you're like, wait, what? So you let more women be victimized. And somebody said, look, if that happened to me, I would go to the police and that would be it. And we kind of had a little conversation about... The dynamic that occurs when a woman or a man is sexually assaulted and the amount of shame and self-blame that goes with this. And I want to share this one part of this article. A woman who in 2019 said Eric Swalwell invited her out for drinks. She became so severely intoxicated that she does not remember the rest of the night. She said she woke up naked in Eric Swalwell's hotel bed and could feel the effects of intercourse. She said Eric Swalwell distanced himself from her afterward and the relationship faded. Five years later, the woman said she attended on April 2024, a charity gala where Eric Swalwell was honored. The woman who no longer worked for Eric Swalwell said they met for drinks afterward, during which she became so inebriated that she... She remembers only snippets of the night, including pushing Eric Swalwell away and telling him no while he allegedly forced himself on her. The woman texted a friend three days later that she was sexually assaulted by Eric Swalwell. She wrote in a series of messages reviewed by the Chronicle that she had blacked out but woke up during it and even told him to stop. Now this is where it gets important. This happened one other time when I was working with him. But I convinced myself I was an equal party in it, even though the same pattern I blacked out and he had sex with me. You wonder why women don't always report. It's the shame, it's the guilt, it's what did I do to deserve this? Did I send the wrong message? And here is this upstanding member of Congress.

36:53

How in the world would I think that he would be capable of such that thing? So Eric Swalwell's done. His career is over. A police investigation into the latest rape charges will be launched shortly. Right after the press conference with a woman who accused him of sexual assault, she said, we are filing a report with the LA Police Department, which is what needs to happen. So another one bites the dust. And I could not be happier. Now, I have something on the blog, and we're going to get to it. We've got to talk about this. There's so much stuff on the blog we've got to talk about today. One of the stories on the blog that we have to talk about is, let me go back up because I think it's above the story, is what Tulsi Gabbard has been up to as the Director of National Intelligence. Because of everything else going on in the Trump administration, many people have not paid attention to, meaning the news media have not paid attention to the stream of information that Tulsi Gabbard is declassifying. And it is showing incredible amounts of collusion and lying. in order to impeach Trump. You know, everybody talks about the deep state and you're like, well, that sounds like a conspiracy theory. Tulsi Gabbard is exposing the deep state over and over and over and over again. And everybody's like, oh, we've already moved on. Adam Schiff, who honestly is, I, why? I almost said something impertinent. I would love for Adam Schiff to get caught up in some kind of scandal of his own creation because he is such a massive liar. He's been lying for years and now we have proof he was a liar and we have video of him lying over and over again. And yet now he's in the Senate. I mean, this is politics. We accept on both sides of the aisle the biggest scumbags because we think our scumbags going to win. And that's a huge part of what's wrong with politics. And it's a huge part of what's wrong with our entire primary system that incentivizes these bad actors to run to the worst elements. And that's what we end up with. We end up with these people who have aligned themselves with the worst parts of their party. And it's just, it's gross. I don't know how to fix it, though. That's the problem. I have no idea how to fix any of this. What I can fix, though, is perhaps you're busted up joint. I don't know. That's called a segue, ladies and gentlemen. I'm a professional. Don't try this at home. You guys know that I'm not just an endorser for Regen Revolution, but we are going to have Rachel, the owner of Regent on next. I have just experienced my first round of peptides. And I am a true believer. Want to know what they are? We're going to talk about that and so much more next. The Mandy Connell show is sponsored by Bell and Pollock Accident and Injury Lawyers. Now, it's Mandy Connell. Mandy Connell, room in the day. On KLA, 8.50 a.m. 941 FM. Through the static and the noise, she cuts through the frame. Mandy Connell keeping ignorance at bay.

40:04

Welcome to the second hour of the show. I'm your host, Mandy Cottle, back over there, Anthony Rodriguez. We call him A. Rod and joining me in the studio, one of my longtime clients and honestly the woman responsible for how good I look other than my mom. Other than the genetics, Rachel Anders from Regent Revolution is one of the reasons that I feel like I look good. And more importantly, the reason I feel good. And today, you know, we normally talk about regenerative medicine because you guys have been doing this for over a decade now. How many years? I mean, we started. In 2012. Yeah, right before I got here, because I was, I think, one of your early patients when I came in to do all this stuff. Well, so much has changed since then in the best possible way, but again, Regen Revolution doesn't just get rid of joint pain. They are also always looking for ways to help you feel the best, to help you look the best, to help your brain work the best. And that is leading us to something that I think people are starting to see the word everywhere, peptides. Yes. It's like a new hot thing. So let's start by talking about peptides. Okay, so people probably want to know what are peptides. Correct. Essentially, peptides are messengers, they're signaling cells, they're short chain amino acids, which is a fancy way of saying proteins. They're manufactured naturally in your muscles, which is why as we age it's so important to keep our muscle mass. as high as possible and that is um i've heard this phrase a lot over the last year especially that muscle is the organ of longevity and this is why it's because your muscles are responsible for making all kinds of amino acids that signal all sorts of other systems and cascades in your body that help you heal and help keep your cognitive function and help keep you functioning healthily and normally. So I've been seeing you guys because I have a torn meniscus and I have a bone spur under my knee, which is a million times better, like so much better. But in the process of that, I'm talking to Sarah, one of the providers, she said, Mandy, you've got to try these peptides. And it's a glow peptide combination of three peptides that are specifically designed to aid in healing. And because I have now been a patient at Regen Revolution for so long, when they tell me to do something, I'm like, okay, let's do it. I'm literally, I'm like, whatever you got, I will totally do that. I'm like, whatever, it's fine. But I didn't really know what they were going to do, right? So, like, three weeks in, I send Rachel a text message that said,

42:48

Is this supposed to make me look younger? I got to tell you. Well, I got to tell you, you know, every day you get up and you look at yourself in the mirror and you're, you know, you're kind of, I look up one day, first thing in the morning and I'm like, huh, there's all lines around my eyes are gone. Oh, cool. Look at that skin, right? Oh, wait a minute. I think the volume is coming back in my cheeks. Yeah. And that's why I sent you that text. What the heck? I love it. But what the heck? Well, so their peptides are being delivered mostly in what they're calling a stack. So there are different stacks of peptides. There are combinations of peptides, essentially. The one we talk about the one you're doing. Yeah. Is it called glow, G-L-O-W. And it's called glow because it does help your appearance. The components that are in the glow peptide stack are the BP 157, which is just for general anti-inflammation. And that's a good, safe kind of, I would say maybe one of the most common peptides that's being administered out there. It helps with tissue repair. And then when you start combining it with some of the other components that are in. There's a Wolverine stack because Wolverine heals so fast, so it helps you heal quicker. And there's a Clow stack with a K and then a glow stack with a G. The glow stack is it helps you make more collagen. And so that's why you're noticing that plumping in your skin. And I mean, my knee is completely gone. And that's why we did this in conjunction. It was like, okay, we're going to do the shockwave stuff that we did. They did all kinds of cool stuff to my knee, but nothing's super dramatic. And then adding this in, but it also got rid of my carpal tunnel syndrome on my left hand. I still have it a little bit in my right hand, but not nearly where it was before, where if I hit it on a chair, you know, it would send me leaping out of my chair with pain. Now it's an annoyance. That's so great. You know, and I think. One of the things we try to do at Regen Revolution is, you know, there's a lot of information out there, and especially just the access people have to all of this information. Some of it's good, some of it's bad, some of it's correct, and some of it's not. And we really try to do all the research for you so that when you come in, you're going to get educated and you're going to leave feeling like you made an educated decision about whatever you are doing. So that being said, you know, because peptides are so popular. And it really is a trend right now that everybody starts to take. And the FDA is sort of in the process of approving some of these things that everybody wants. So if people want peptides, they're going to get them. It doesn't matter from where. I was listening to a podcast this morning actually that is Australian and people there are getting them from the gym. Because they're not legal. Oh, okay. And so they're getting them from the gym, which doesn't seem like a good idea, to get things from the gym, you know, in general that you're going to injecting yourself. I don't know if it's a sterile environment or what. So I think it's really important to understand that you should not be buying these things on the internet. You should get these things from a place that, you know, gets them from a reliable FDA-approved laboratory. And...

46:08

you know, hopefully the FDA will get on board with getting these things approved because people want them. But if people want peptides, they're going to get them and let's make them safe and clean. Somebody just asked because, and I got to tell you, I keep showing Rachel, I have like, I have new hair. You have new hair. I mean, I have legitimate, because going through a full hysterectomy wrecked my hair. I mean, it wrecked my hair. My hair thinned so dramatically. And now I have new hair coming out of my head. It's freaking me out, man. Somebody asked, what about men's hair growth and peptides? So what is, I mean, we're growing more collagen, but if you've been bald for a long time, there's nothing that's going to bring that back. I mean, it depends. Are you thinning or are you shiny? Right. If you're thinning, there's a lot of things that we have really good success with for hair restoration. and adding peptides to the regenerative medicine protocols that have been tried and true in our office for over a decade. Adding peptides to those, we're noticing people getting results faster. Right. Somebody asked, are peptides safe for your organs, aka kidneys? You know, yes. I mean, anything can be taken in too high of a quantity. Right. you know, water can be bad for you if it comes from a dirty place. So again, I think it's important to understand what you're getting, where you're getting it, because even something like water can be bad for you if it comes from a bad place. Right. Oh, wait a minute. How the Dickens do you have carpal tunnel and so much going on with you? Is it legit things you're just looking for them to fix? You guys, I type. I type all day. And I type. I'm a hard typeer. My husband, it drives him crazy. But I make noise when I type because I feel productive. But that's why. And that's why I haven't done anything. But honestly, everything that you guys have fixed for me has either been structural or making my face look better. I don't care who you are when you're 56. You've got to keep the wheels on the cart. Right. Yeah, no. And the left meniscus tear, I have no idea what I did. I didn't hurt myself. I wasn't, I wasn't, you know, chasing my Olympic dreams. I just started having pain one day in a meniscus tear, and I still have no idea what that came from. There's wear and tear that happens on your body, and as we age, we don't repair as quickly. Right. So all of the things that naturally help you repair when you're younger. kind of wane as we get older and that's what regenerative medicine is all about that's what longevity medicine is all about it's about keeping your body healing and repairing and functioning so that you can you know

48:59

be healthy and functional as you age. It's a fascinating kind of world right now, the world of anti-aging medicine. Yeah. Because it used to really be snake oil. It did. Many, many years ago. Or surgical. Yes. And there were really insane interventions. But now it's more about how can we help you live a long, healthy lifespan, a health span. Like, how can we help you be the healthiest you can be until one day when you're going to drop dead? Right. That's the ideal. And we are living longer. Our life expectancy is longer than it was, you know, 20 years ago. And so I think everybody has had an older person that they've had to take care of. I think we're at that age now where our parents are getting older. And I have friends who have healthy parents. You know, I'm fortunate to have a very healthy parents. And then I have friends who don't have healthy parents. Right. And I think. If there's something we can do now so that we age healthily and don't end up, you know, having to depend on lots of other people to get through life, then that's great. You know, that's the goal. Right. And that's honestly what I use Regent for, all of that that she just said. Mandy, please ask your guest if the peptides have any clinical research or applications in addressing afib. So atrial fibrillation.

50:24

Potentially. I'm nervous to talk about this stuff on the air, obviously. There is a lot of animal research on these products, and there's not as much published human research as, you know, we would generally like to see. And some of that is intentional because there are a lot of humans that are taking them. But as far as publishing the research on them, that leaves a little something to be desired. I think if you're having a fib... Let's schedule an appointment and a time for you to come in and talk about your personal situation with one of our providers. I would say this. When I first went to what was in downtown's health care but is now Regen Revolution, regenerative medicine as being practiced was very, very young. Right. And so when I first met with them and we sat down and had a long conversation about a whole whole thing worked, I asked a lot of questions about very specific things. And Gary at the time said, you know, we're so early in the process. What happens is you start off with broad use, right? And then as broad use gets more honed and, you know, it's working for people, then we sort of hone in on individual things that could be helped. And I feel like that's kind of where we are with the peptide stuff. Yeah, that's a good analogy. I think, you know, in our office, we're not cardiologists and we don't treat AFIB specifically. Right. However, in our office, we do, we are very intentional about providing people with things that can help the whole body function better. Right. And so. You know, with regard to a cardiological specific example, you know, I think it would be interesting to have a conversation with an open-minded cardiologist about, right, how this kind of medicine could help. And I will say just overall, I mean, there's absolutely nothing we provide in our practice that I have not personally tried or at this point that Mandy has not personally. Yeah, exactly. But I think, you know, just in general, the peptides that we provide, you know, we're a physical and regenerative medicine office and the things that we provide focus on physical medicine and helping your body physically move and function better. I broke my back when I was 21 years old, mountain biking. It has bothered me every day for the last 30 plus years. And I, it. Sometimes it bothers me at like a 5 out of 10. Sometimes it's a 9 out of 10 or a 10 out of 10. Right now, after one month on those glow peptides, I have zero back pain. And with no other treatment, that's the thing. Well, all the other things that I continue to do, which is taking care of myself and having a posture and doing yoga and doing Pilates and getting treated at my office and all of this. I don't have any back pain for the first time in like 30 plus years. And this is the only thing I've been doing differently. So something in there's working. And it's, you know, I feel great. I am sleeping great. I, you know, it's. For me, it's been the weird random things. Like I, every morning I wake up with elbow pain, right? And this has been going on for years. And it's just because of the way I sleep. Right? I don't have any elbow pain.

53:42

Have I changed how I sleep? No, I have not. I'm sleeping the same way I've slept for 56 years. When I realized that the other day, I was like, oh my gosh, I think it's the peptides. It's pretty remarkable. It's pretty remarkable. And you're not alone. Like we're not alone in noticing this. And there is a lot of pressure on the FDA to like. get this regulated and make sure that it's safe because if people want peptides, they're going to find them. If people want cocaine, they're going to find it. You know what I mean? Like make it safe and regulate it so that we don't have to worry about people buying things on the black market. Can we talk for a second about the tension between pharmacy, pharmaceutical companies and more natural options like this? Because this isn't a drug. It's a peptide. I know. That means that they cannot patent it. Right. I mean, guys, this is not me blowing smoke. This is not a conspiracy. You can go back and watch the concerted effort by the pharmaceutical companies against regenerative medicine against stuff like this. They do not want competition because they want to keep us sick so they can then medicate us. That's my little soapbox on that. I mean, I'm in agreement with you on that. And it's unfortunate. that we have to deal with that. But it is what it is. And I want to be healthy and I want to live a long time and I want to be vibrant and I want to be active and I want to feel strong. And I do. And that's, you know, we're not alone in that. And I think, gosh, there is a lot of tension. I mean, I'm even tense just talking about it here, you know, because it. Like I said before, people want these things and, you know, let's just make them safe for people to get. A lot of people are asking what the cost of this is. It depends on what you get. You know, just like the BP 157 that we talked about at the very beginning, which is great for just all over anti-inflammation, gut repair. It's like $120 for a one month's supply. And these are injectables. No, that one's a tablet. Oh, that one's a tablet. So if you don't, not everybody wants to inject themselves. Yeah, I don't care. Some people just can't do that. And so there's an oral tablet that we. have for the BP 157 and then when you start stacking things on top of each other it gets you know more expensive but also this isn't something you're supposed to be on forever you know you're supposed to take it for two months and then take a month off and then take it so it's a cycle and then take a month off and and you know eventually hopefully you're you're building up and stimulating your body's ability to produce these things again. And one thing that we should say, and I did such a deep dive on this after I started feeling so much better, and I was like, what the heck am I doing? But the reality is it works better if you're exercising, if you're eating a healthy diet. I mean, all of the things that you should be doing anyway, what it does, in my view, is it increases.

56:37

Your results. As a matter of fact, I was working out with my trainer yesterday and I was doing a weird arm lift thing and she goes, look at those delts. Look at those triceps. I'm like, I can't see them. I'll just assume they're there. But it just improves what you're already doing. It's not going to solve your problems if you are sitting at home, not doing any exercise and you're eating a garbage diet. Yeah, and I think, you know, the emphasis on GLP-1s in recent years has been kind of feeding into that where, hey, I don't want to exercise. I don't want to make healthy choices. I just want to lose weight. And we're now seeing the aftermath of having, you know, thousands and thousands of people on those drugs. And you're seeing, you know, legal claims with regard to that. And the problem with that is that most of the mass you're losing is muscle mass. And so now you've got a bunch of people whose muscle to fat ratio is too low on the muscle. And so they're not making these amino acids. They're not making their peptides. I actually have a story on the blog today about GLP1s and now they're recommending. peptides at the same time in addition to weight training and all of these other things. Oh, you know what that's Serena Williams is doing. Oh, 100%. People are asking about insurance. This is not covered by insurance. Oh, no. No. It'll be a while. And again, the medical community is always lagging. When it comes to stuff that cannot be patented by a pharmaceutical company. It just is because there's so much resistance. They're too heavily invested in the, you know, the profits to be made from selling drugs. Correct. It is what it is. All I will say is this. We will leave it on this, Rachel. I realized after taking these for about two and a half weeks that I felt better than I had. in probably 20 years physically, mentally, it finally cleared the brain fog that I got from just hysterectomy. I mean, all of that. It feels like a wonder drug, but you don't feel speedy. You don't feel abnormal at all. You just feel like the best version of yourself. I can't do anything but agree with that from my own experience. It's insane. Absolutely insane. Mandy, I've been feeling very low energy lately. When had my testosterone checked, it was fine, actually high. But they recommended a peptide called N-A-D. Thoughts. That is the big one right now. I mean, NAD is not big right now. We've been doing NAD, you know, IVs in our office for almost 10 years. NED is wonderful. It's great. It's an enzyme. It helps with, you know, overall cognitive function and mood and healing. And, you know, to your previous point, this is the direction that medicine is going. This is the direction that people want medicine to be going in.

59:23

And so NAD is great. We have injectable NAD. We have NAD tablets available in our office. Historically, when we initially got a hold of NAD, you had to deliver it through an IV, and it couldn't be too fast, or you would just like send people kind of reeling. So the timeline of the NAD was like two to four hours, which was just not conducive to life. But now, yeah, we have NAD. You know, available for injection or IV if you want to sit there for four hours or tablets. And, you know, all of these things are good and helpful. And what might be best for you is something that. you know, sitting with a provider and talking about how you're feeling and getting a more complete picture of your situation, you know, come in for a consultation and you can talk to somebody about all of that. 303-292-992 or online, regentrev.com. I kind of glossed over it a little bit earlier, but this is incredibly, incredibly important. I want to share a story by my friend David Strom from hotair.com. Sometime last year, he says, I said that Tulsi Gabbard may turn out to be one of Trump's most consequential hires. A lot of people thought I was nuts, but I stand by my assessment. Marco Rubio may have been his best hire, but Tulsi Gabbard is sure up there. In a sane world, Tulsi Gabbard's steady stream of declassification of documents that have been hidden from public view would be blockbuster news carried by every media outlet 24-7 for weeks. Her revelations about the origins of Russiagate and the widespread conspiracy to destroy Donald Trump, leading all the way up to President Obama, would have created a firestorm. And he then links to a tweet by Catherine Harwich. First, whistleblower met with Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee, then led by Adam Schiff, before reporting his allegations to the Intelligence Community Interceptor General. In October 2019, then Congressman, now CIA Director John Ratcliffe, nailed the timeline in a closed-door briefing with Intelligence Community Watchdog Michael Atchison. And then it goes on to kind of give the timeline a little bit. And Ratliff testifies the whistleblower did not disclose to you that he or she had contact with the House Intelligence Committee. And the answer to that is yes. So essentially like, okay, this so-called unbiased whistleblower actually conspired with Democrats before they came forward. And then Adam Schiff lied about it over and over and over and over again. But David Strom continues. But no reporter can expect to get a Pulitzer Prize exposing a Democrat, even for a scandal that makes Watergate look like jaywalking. So nobody has delved into the documents she has released. Yesterday, she released a tranche of documents exposing the lies, perjury, and corruption behind the fake Ukraine impeachment, demonstrating that everybody involved engaged in a conspiracy and cover up in order to destroy President Trump. Tulsi Gabbard released this. Newly declassified records expose how deep state actors within the intelligence community concocted a false narrative that Congress used to usurp the will of the American people and impeached duly elected president in 2019. And then she gives a long threat about it. And literally, I mean, just goes through the entire thing. David Strom continues. Well, let me just read what she wrote. A lot of distrust has been sown over the past few months with claims that Tulsi Gabbard isn't sufficiently MAGA or doesn't pass some kind of ideological purity test. All I can say is look at the results.

1:05:00

Back in July, the CIA released a C-Y-A statement, claiming there had been a tradecraft errors in the Russian collusion investigation. Tulsi Gabbard pushed back directly, saying they were lying, and then released the underlying documents that flatly contradicted their claim, along with a wider trove of material. Now she's released further documentation laying out how the Ukraine impeachment hoax was so secretly concocted by a network of deep state operators, including Ceremella, Adam Schiff, and others. So while all this should have been made public years ago, Tulsi Gabbard is the one actually getting it out now. I just want to play for you. Can I get my audio real quick, A, Ron? I just want to play for you a little bit of Adam Schiff about this issue. So my colleagues made the statement repeatedly that I've met with the whistleblower, that I know the whistleblower it is. It was false the first time they said it. It was false the second through 40th time they said it. It will be false the last time they say it. He lies as easily as he breathes. With such grace, now we know beyond a, just beyond a shadow of a doubt. that that was a lie. And it's not even, it's not even in discussion. Strom continues, lots of people are digging through the documents to an extent that frankly I don't have the bandwidth to do. But the bottom line is pretty simple. The impeachment was based on hearsay. The original whistleblower complaint was co-drafted by Adam Schiff's staff who insisted they had no contact with Sierra Mella. That's the whistleblower, by the way. And Adam Schiff based his prosecution on knowingly false statements. None of that is shocking, but it's no longer easy to dispute because now we have the documents to prove it. Breaking says this tweet. Tulsi Gabbard just released never before seen declassified documents exposing a coordinated deep space conspiracy inside the intelligence community used to impeach President Trump in 2019. The whistleblower, a CIA analyst and self-declared registered Democrat who traveled with VP Biden to Ukraine and attended official Biden luncheons admitted in his own filing. to having zero firsthand knowledge of the Trump Volodymyr Zelensky call, lied about contacting Adam Schiff's Democratic staff before filing, and relied on a key witness who co-authored the 2017 Russia hoax ICA and worked alongside disgraced FBI agent Peter Strach. That witness admitted he couldn't connect the same dots, had to read between the lines, and only perceived a quid pro quo in hindsight. The documents further reveal the whistleblower tried to block Devin Nunes, a gang of eight member, legally entitled to view the disclosure from seeing it, expressed dislike of current FBI director Kash Patel, and described NSC staffer Michael Ellis as slippery and untrustworthy. ICIG Atkinson never requested the actual call transcript, sent a criminal referral to DOJ on secondhand testimony alone.

1:08:09

altered the whistleblower form to remove the firsthand knowledge requirement and ignored explicit DOJ guidance that the complaint didn't rise to the level of urgent concern. He wrote Congress anyway. The DOG found no criminal violation. Trump defense attorney Alan Dershowitz said the evidence about the bias and credibility of the whistleblower was hidden by bureaucrats, a disservice to justice and the American people. Devin Nunes called it a staged attack by anti-Trump malcontents who believed they, not the American people, should determine who is president. But that is what happens in the Democratic Party. And one has to believe that all of these people working in our intelligence agencies. They weaponized our intelligence agencies to go after a candidate they did not like. Guys, that's like soft coup stuff, right? And let me just say this. If this had happened under President Barack Obama, where there was incontrovertible proof and evidence that someone... in the Republican Party had utilized and weaponized the intelligence agencies against that sitting president, you would hear nothing except this story going forward. And yet, have you heard about this at all? Because I haven't. Now, granted, there's a lot going on right now. But this seems like kind of a big deal. So yeah. We shall see. But Adam Schiff will never be held accountable because Democratic voters are going to continue to elect him because you know what? He may be a scumbagg, but he's their scumbagg, isn't he? Read the rest of the story at the blog today. You really should read that whole column about Tulsi Gabbard and the job she's doing. I like Tulsi Gabbard. And I liked the choice because I think that Tulsi Gabbard seems to be more independently minded. than a lot of the other people on Donald Trump staff. One of my least favorite things about the people who are working around Donald Trump is the way that they always have to compliment him. No, I realize that's a political thing. And by the way, Democrats do it too, but not to the extent that it's been happening now. So, yeah, we got that there on the blog as well. Now, I didn't know if you guys knew this. I saw this in Westward today. When the voters of Colorado voted for legal pot back in 2013, they voted for Amendment 64. Lots of promises were made. And I wasn't here then, but boy, we were following this when I was in Kentucky and we were all, we all had our binoculars out pointed west because we were watching what was happening in Colorado. And I know that it was sold under the guise of doing two things. One, eliminating the black market, which has not happened. raising a ton of money for schools and local municipalities. Remember that? Oh, the tax money. We're going to be rolling in the dough. And a couple of things have happened since then. First of all, after COVID, when apparently everyone became a pot head. I mean, everybody and their mother seemed to become a pot head because pot sales went through the roof. After COVID, they dropped back down to their normal levels.

1:11:35

And now we've seen a serious drop in the amount of tax dollars that are being created from legal pot sales. This from westward, Colorado's marijuana revenue pie is getting smaller. With fewer slices to go around for local governments, just over $6 million worth of slices per year, according to state lawmakers. Colorado's League of Marijuana tax system is complicated, but for almost a dozen years, the Colorado Department of Revenue would issue a certain percentage of taxes and fees back to counties and towns that allowed retail sales. That was the least they could do because these people were bearing the brunt of sometimes higher crime and other issues that popped up around pot stores or the areas where pot stores were. Since 2014, over $210 million has been dispersed to local governments or dozens of local governments that opted into marijuana sales with payments based on sales tax revenue generated in each jurisdiction. But. The Colorado legislature has been shrinking those payments as the luster of legal weed fades. The local government kickback for marijuana sales was 15% until 2017. When it was cut to 10%. Then it was slashed again to 3.5% in 2025. And if House Bill 2614.09 passes, that local slice of state revenue will be eliminated entirely. The proposal would not affect taxes on marijuana imposed by local municipalities. However, if it's successful, an estimated $12.3 million would be withheld from local governments over the next two years. Instead, that money would go to the state's marijuana tax cash fund, which can be used for more than a dozen forms of state funding, including education, public health, law enforcement, and housing. Otherwise, known as a slush fund. That the legislature can raid at any time when they get caught by their overspending as they have been this year. I added that last part. So I wonder how many local municipalities. Now granted, you know, $6 million spread out over a bunch of people isn't that much money. But this is another way that they are doing an end around, around the intentions and how Amendment 64 was sold to the voters in Colorado. And it's the least surprising part of this whole story. Because whenever government says, hey, you know what, let us make this new tax. We've got this new tax that's going to be so amazing. It's going to be the best tax ever because this tax is going to go specifically only to this thing. Most of the time, that's a lie. And even if it's like that in the first piece of legislation, obviously it can be changed later. So it's like, come on. Come on, guys, come on. Mandy, I'm an ex-pot head and current pep head. What is a pep head? Oh, a peptide head. Oh, very good. Very good. I like that. A pep head. That sounds gross, though. I don't like pep head. Makes it sound like somehow you get speedy.

1:14:47

from the peptides that we just talked about in the first part of this hour. That's not it at all. Ooh, I hate that name. Don't do that. Don't do that at all. When we get back... We have a couple of things coming up in the next hour. I want to talk about the U.S. blockade in Iran. There is a phenomenal thread by a guy named Miyadh-Maliki. He works with the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy, with our friend Cliff May. But he did an explainer of why a blockade of Iranian ports is... It puts a level of pressure and a timeline that we don't even think about here in the United States. There is a hard timeline on this that has to do with their ability to produce oil. And what will wills if they cannot get the oil in storage onto ships and out of their way. It's a fascinating timeline. But as I wrote that this morning, I then saw a headline, China runs the blockade. So how good is a blockade if you're not willing to take the next steps and actually stop ships from our geopolitical foe from passing through the Strait of Hormuz to continue to prop up Iran? It's very, very interesting. Very, very interesting. So we've got that we've got to talk about and we're going to talk about how tech is making it incredibly hard. to kidnap anyone. And I know if you were thinking about kidnapping somebody anytime soon, you're going to want to hear that story too because it just got way more complicated to just snatch a kid off the street. I mean, like we used to do in the olden days. Can't do it now. And you know who's fighting the crime here? It's the kids. You would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids. And today we're going to take you right up until 3 p.m. where we will hand the station over to our friends at K-O.E Sports. All right. So I want to share a post on X, actually a whole thread. All thread by a guy named Miad Maleki, and he works for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. And he is super smart, egghead. I follow him on X. I have talked to Cliff May from the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies about him. And he's got his handle on the, or he's got his finger on the pulse of Iranian economics in a significant way. And we're talking right now about the U.S. blockade. The U.S. says, look, if we are going to let ships go through, but if their final destination is an Iranian port, or they are coming from an Iranian port, we're going to stop them. So this strategy kind of is different than other strategies that have been used, but it's significant. And I want to share with you why. This from Miyadh-Moleki. The U.S. naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz would cost Iran approximately 276 million per day in lost exports and disrupt 159 million per day in imports, a combined economic damage of $435 million per day or $13 billion per month. Over 90% of their annual trade transits to Persian Gulf. Oil and gas accounts for 80% of government export earnings and 23.7% of GDP. That is, I mean, those are huge numbers. He continues. Crude oil. Iran was exporting 1.5 million barrels a day, earning 139 million per day at wartime pricing, though with minimal proceed repatriation due to banking sanctions. A blockade zeroes this out overnight. Carg Island, which handles 92% of crude exports, sits deep inside the Gulf with no viable alternative. That's 139 million per day gone.

1:21:02

Petrochemicals. Iran exported almost 20 billion in petrochemicals in nine months of 2024, 2025. That's 54 million per day. Virtually all of it shipped through that in the blockade zone. No overland route can move these volumes. That's another 54 million per day gone. Then he goes into non-oil exports. Then it goes to ports. Over 90% of Iran's seaborne trade transits the Strait of Formuz. Shahid Raji Bandar Abbas alone handles 53% of all cargo operations. Imam Khomeini handles 58% of basic goods imports. These are all deep inside the Gulf. What are their alternatives? Iran's options outside the strait are negligible. JASC, the much-touted bypass, operates at a fraction of its $1 million or $1 million barrels per day design capacity. Only 10 of 20 storage tanks were built. Effective throughput minus 70,000 barrels per day. imports. They import everything in Iran. They make almost nothing in Iran. They imported $58 billion of goods in 2025. That's $159 million per day. And a blockade chokes off industrial inputs, machinery and consumer goods. Food inflation already hit 105% by February of 2026. Rice prices are up seven times. This gets dramatically worse under blockade. Blockade will hopefully allow offloading of the humanitarian cargoes. And this is an extremely important part. The storage clock. Iran has 50 to 55 million barrels of total on-store oil storage, roughly 60% full right now. So spare capacity, 20 million barrels with 1.5 barrels of surplus production that normally exports storage fills in 13 days. 13 days. What happens after that? Iran must shut in wells. Why does that matter? When a mature oil well shuts down, bottom water rushes in, a process called water coning. Oil droplets get permanently tracked in rock pores. This oil can never be recovered. Iran's fields already declined 5 to 8% annually. Forced shut-ins could permanently destroy 300 to 500,000. Barrels per day of production capacity, that's 9 to 15 billion a year in revenue gone forever. How does this matter? Currency collapse accelerates. The real has already cratered from 42,000 to 1.5 million per dollar. Let me do that again.

1:23:59

The Iranian real, their currency, it used to be 42,000 to one American dollar. It is now 1.5 million per American dollar. Banks are limiting withdrawals to 18 to 30 per day. Overall inflation, 47.5%, a blockade eliminating all 4x earnings, pushes the reall into terminal hyperinflation. The regime issued its largest ever banknote, 10 million realls worth about $7. The bottom line is this. A naval blockade imposes $435 million per day in combined economic damage. Storage fills in 13 days, forcing well shut-ins to cause permanent reservoir damage. The Rial enters terminal collapse. Iran's alternatives outside the strait can replace less than 10% of Gulf throughput. The blockade makes continued resistance economically impossible. So out of all of the options that were available to President Trump, this is the one that has the ability the fastest to bring the Iranian regime to its knees. And that's the only thing that's going to stop this. The current regime has no interest in seeking peace. They only have interest in trying to destroy Israel and kill Jews. That's all they care about. And shoring up the proxies that are doing that. Now, why this all matters so much again? Right now, Israel and Lebanon are having peace talks between the state of Lebanon and the state of Israel. Right now, Lebanon is divided into two halves, the north where they don't like Hezbollah and would like them to go away. And the south, which is controlled by Hezbollah. Hezbollah said, we're not giving up our arms. And frankly, the president of Lebanon said, there's not a whole lot we can do. And they're not wrong because their military is not good and certainly not as well armed and well funded as Hezbollah's, which is supplied by Iran. But when Iranian money runs out, Hezbollah doesn't have any money of its own. It has solely relied on the kindness of others, specifically the Iranians. The 13-day thing, I think, is a super interesting part of this entire thing. I didn't even think about oil storage problems and the downstream effects from that. I thought that was very, very interesting, and I hope you did too. Jimmy Sangenberger, when I lived in Louisville, Kentucky, the Jefferson County public schools in Louisville, Kentucky, I don't care what district out here is the biggest hot mess. None of them are as big a hot mess. as Louisville Kentucky School District. I mean, it is an unmitigated disaster on so many levels. I don't know what it is now. It's been 13 years, but I doubt they really cleaned it up because there was no desire to. And there was a joke in my building, and I think it was only partly a joke. It could have been true that the Jefferson County Public Teachers Union probably had a photo of me on a dartboard because I was relentless.

1:27:09

in pointing out how they were garbage when it came to teaching students and all they cared about was their own little kingdoms. Well, Jimmy Sangenberger's picture is probably on a dartboard at Cherry Creek Schools because he has done a phenomenal job. Keeping up with what I call Cherry Creek Schools turns, the soap opera that is what used to be the best school district in the Denver Metro. It is no longer, by the way. If you're still laboring under the illusion that Cherry Creek Schools is the best school district in the Denver Metro, you are sadly mistaken because Douglas County overtook that a long time ago. As a matter of fact, Cherry Creek schools have not fully recovered from pre-pandemic, back to pre-pandemic numbers. They're very, very invested in making sure that teachers can hide a gender transition from their parents. Very, very invested in creating a little fiefdom over there at the admin building. They came complete with even a crying room where teachers who were brought up to the carpet were allowed to go cry. Well, now the wheels are flying off Cherry Creek. They've got a huge budget deficit. Their leadership team has all either been suspended, retired, or are gone because they created such a toxic work environment. And Jimmy has a great column about the entire thing. And in all honesty, it really just is kind of a warning to all parents. You know, you buy a house a lot of the times based on the school district, right? I mean, I know we did. When we were coming out here for me to get my job, when I came out and had the job at Kehow initially, I asked everyone about school districts, and everyone said Cherry Creek, Cherry Creek, Cherry Creek. And then... I started looking at Douglas County and the reforms that they were trying to make down there and the, you know, the more parent-friendly, free solutions that were being adopted by the school board. I'm like, well, I have to move there. I have no choice because these are all the things that I advocate for. I have to move to Douglas County. It was the best decision we could have made in terms of schooling. But it doesn't take much. for a school board to wreck a school district by doing things like not focusing on what's really important, which is always student achievement. Student achievement solves so many problems. If you make sure that your kids in your school district can all read, can do math, are performing at their own individual highest levels, a lot of other problems will take care of themselves. Unfortunately, we're living through an era where kids are being sucked into things and conversations that they should not be sucked into, the gender man or whatever that nonsense is. We're telling kindergartners they can choose their gender, which is absolutely absurd. These are all things Cherry Creek has been very invested in. Well, conversely, Douglas County has been like, okay, how can we make sure our kids are performing at the highest level? And they've done a really good job serving a vast majority of their students. They're not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. No district is. But they serve 80,000 students and do it really well. And as far as I know, they're not talking about budget cuts right now because they've mismanaged their budget. We have a new school board in place in Douglas County.

1:30:21

And they are very union friendly. The union is gearing up to ask for a collective bargaining agreement. Only last I heard, only 30% of the teachers in Douglas County were represented by the union. It might even be lower than that. But they started a social media campaign to change things. And I'm warning parents in Douglas County. Pay attention. Cherry Creek is the canary in the coal mine. When you get people on the board that take their eye off the prize and the eye should be, how can we help every single student achieve at the highest level? It does not take long before they can run your district into the ground. Some of the other districts in the metro area, you know, I didn't, I had it on the blog, but I never talked about the Sheridan School District going on strike. That is hilarious to me. If you're in a district where like 20% of your kids can read or do math on grade level, don't tell me you need more money. No offense. Just don't. And don't give me the, it's a challenging population. They don't speak English because these problems have been solved elsewhere. There are curriculums designed to help kids who don't speak English as a first language be able to stay up on grade level. Super frustrating what's happening with schools, but check it out. And if you live in Douglas County, keep an eye on things. Just keep an eye on them. I'm going to read this text before we take a quick break and then we're going to come back. It's a Living is making a return visit. We got a guy who makes hot sauce for a living. Mandy, Hezbollah has always been heavily involved in drug and human trafficking. They'll take a hit if they lose Iranian support, but they have other income streams. One of the features of Trump's Venezuela op was getting Hezbollah out of there. The FBI was working on breaking up Hezbollah crime networks in the U.S. and Western Hemisphere during the Obama administration, Obama had them stop to facilitate his Iran deal. Isn't that funny? that our government is willing to capitulate when it comes to us going after terrorist organizations in the United States? Thanks, Obama. Today, I am pleased to bring one of my hottest guests that we've ever had on the show. He's a man who makes hot sauce and his name is Danny Cash. Danny, welcome to the program. Thanks for having me, Mandy. This is awesome to be here. I've been listening to you for many, many years. Yay, you're a wise and great man as well. Do you always wear a red shirt as a hot sauce guy? Would you plan that or was that just for today? You know, if you talk to anybody that knew me in grade school, middle school, college, high school, yeah, yeah, I'm always wearing red shirts. There you go. So, Danny, let's start at the beginning of this hot sauce gig that you have. How did you become the guy who says, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to make hot sauce.

1:33:09

I always liked hot sauce. It was actually barbecue sauces that got me into it and I had like that's like your entry level sauce, right? That's where they get you with the barbecue sauce and the next thing you know, you're on to the hot sauce thing. So what was your first barbecue sauce you ever made? I was eating a lot of different barbecue sauces. So it was a total gateway drug. And then when I found out about hot sauce, that was just the next level. So when I was 10 years old, I actually blew out my appendix being filled up with black and red pepper. And they said that they've never seen this before. And I've only heard three other people ever have that in their lives. So then... I just kept on eating spicier and spicier and spicier because the doctors said that it wouldn't negatively affect me anymore. And chili peppers are really healthy for you. So I just kept on going. So that's kind of interesting because I know that as I've gotten older, my palate has gotten a lot more able to tolerate hot foods. You know, I think young kids are more sensitive to it. Is that just because like everything else on our body, our taste buds just get old? And they're like, fine, it's not that hot. Just have it. I mean, how does that work? Is that what you found as well? It's kind of funny because the capsaicin and chili peppers that makes peppers hot, it actually only affects your pain receptors. So it's kind of like being a boxer when you're learning how to box. You're going to get knocked out multiple times. But you'll build up that toughness and you'll actually start to enjoy it. And you'll be able to take a few punches here and there and then be able to lay them out as well. So with chili peppers and as you get older, I think it's personally because we experience so much pain in life that this is a controllable substance that we can actually do to ourselves. It's kind of like getting tattoos. I have a lot of tattoos. And I'm not your average line. book at a Denver restaurant. I don't have that many tattoos, but I have a tasteful amount of a lot of tattoos. And it's the pain that you are able to inflict upon yourself that I think makes it fun. And it gives you kind of like a drug euphoria when you're eating chili peppers. So it's just a good time. I'm with you on the hot sauce. I am not with you on the tattoo thing. I am completely unadorned and will probably stay that way. So when you started making sauces, when you were like, It's just out of curiosity because I get curious in the kitchen. Like I went through a whole phase where I made ketchup, like a bunch of different kinds of ketchup. Have you ever made ketchup? It's very complicated to make ketchup. It's not just tomatoes. Yeah, ketchup was actually one of those things that beat me for about six months because I was trying to make ketchup taste like the ketchup's that I've eaten. And then I realized. wait a second i'm going to make a spicy smoky ketchup why don't i shoot for that instead of actually just trying to make hunts or hunts so once i got over the whole this thing is kicking my butt

1:36:05

I realized that I could actually just make exactly what I wanted as the finished product instead of making perfect replicas of ingredients. So ketchup is hard. Yeah, there's no point in trying to beat Heinz at their own game, right? So you have to differentiate. So you've dabbled, it sounds like you've dabbled in multiple sauces. So you're a sauce curious. Is that fair to say? Let's leave it at that. Give me a list of everything that you've made in the sauce world in terms of condiments. Holy cow. Yes, so obviously many, many types of hot sauces. We do savory sauces, super hot hot sauces. We are actually the very first company in the U.S. to make a ghost chili hot sauce back in 2006, 20 years ago, before anybody ever heard about it, 10 years before people started hearing about the ghost chili. But most of our stuff has habaneros in it, whether it's a little bit or a lot. We do crazy sauces. We've done chocolate sauces with chili peppers in them. Right now, we actually. have, and this is weird because it's coming from a conservative Christian hot sauce company, that we do a multi-colored rainbow variety of glitter sauces, and it's hot sauce for kids. So it's really, really goofy. And we did it because one of my customers, his wife is the bubble fairy at the Colorado Renaissance Festival, and she needed a blue glitter hot sauce. So why not? We were the guys to do it. And that's also, that sounds like entry-level hot sauce when you're trying to get your kid's palate to sort of, you know, get a little tougher. I will never forget my three-year-old daughter, she's now almost 17. When I gave her Kraft Macaroni and cheese, she had just learned the word and it became, oh, too spicy mama. And I'm like, okay, let's talk. There's literally no spice whatsoever. Too spicy mama. And that's been a running joke in our family ever since. But now she'll dabble into some Indian food or different palettes or things like that that has a little spice. to it. Do your sauces cross cultural boundaries because the heat that you get from a super spicy Indian dish is different than the heat that you get from a super spicy Thai dish, right? You're talking about different flavor profiles. So do you dip into different cultures to come up with these hot sauces? Really do, because we have so many different varieties of sauces. We have barbecue sauces. We have dry rubs, and we have two spicy ranches, one made with ghost chilies, the other with habanero. But it's really funny because you can actually take our sauces, and we try to stay extremely versatile on every one of our flavors. We don't make green tea mushroom sauce that is going to be only good on... crackers or white bread or something. We actually make hot sauces that really, really go super, super far in all extremes. My garlic serrano sauce that I started making 24 years ago, that sauce is really good on pizza and eggs, but I also tell people mix it into peanut butter and put it on cheese and crackers. Stop it. You're a wild man. That's crazy. I mean, that's insane. Have you ever tried, ever had an idea? And I'm guessing you're one of those people.

1:39:19

You can probably have a good idea of what something is going to taste like or what you want it to taste like, right? This drives my husband crazy because I will have an idea in my head of what I want a dish to taste like. And I have to keep messing with it until I get it there. But it's kind of a gift, really, to be able to know that. Do you have that? And do you sort of envision what a hot sauce is going to taste like and then kind of work on it until it gets there? Yeah, I kind of brag to people every once in a while about how I can taste numbers and smell colors. That really is one of those things where it is I know exactly what I want, and I will write down on a sticking note what I want my crew to actually put together in the kettles. And they'll mix it and they'll be like, what is this? It's weird and delicious. And I'm like, Ooh, add a pound of salt, and then you'll know exactly what it is. So many recipes have actually come about just from that, but I love being in the kitchen with these guys, and they're learning from me, and I'm learning from them. They're fantastic to work with. So how did you start this business? I mean, you didn't, you started eating hot sauce as a child, but you weren't like a 12-year-old business prodigy with a, you know, came out of the shoot with this big business. When did you decide, you know what? I'm going to make this my career. When I was 22, I was desperately in need of something new in my life. I was just really down on my luck at that point. And I looked at my little hot sauce rack that had 15 or 16 hot sauces on it. And they were all the same, just red vinegar BS in a bottle. So I threw it all away. That afternoon, I actually went to King Supers, and I picked up some stuff out of the produce section, and I made my very first hot sauce, which is, the garlic serrano that we have not changed uh in 24 years that but then so you started selling what locally i want to know how you got from that to where you are now which is private labeling i just got a text message and said mandy tubs had hot mike hot sauce in a three pack signed custom box i would totally buy the mandy lorian version great sauces and killer chicago mustard that from jason That's awesome. Yeah, we, uh, when, when I was starting out, I was making it in my apartment kitchen. And the very first bottle that I sold was because I was three bucks short to play the foothills par three. So I needed three bucks and I charged my buddy four dollars so I could keep that first dollar bill like George, uh, Scrooge McDuck. Yeah. So that was the very first bottle that was sold. And then I actually started, I asked my church kitchen or my church to see if I could actually make it there in a commercial kitchen. So I was talking with some people, Davies Chuck Wagon Diner on Colfax. They forced me into business. So I started talking to the church. My friends would show up on a Saturday morning. We'd have to have everything cleaned up and spotless for Saturday. evening service and for Sunday morning service and everything. So it slowly became a business and I only took the business steps that I needed to when somebody told me to. Trust me, Mandy, if somebody ever said that here's the list of things that you needed to do to get legit. I would have never, ever said, I'm going to make hot sauce for a living because I'm an idiot.

You're not an idiot, though, because I also got this text message. Danny is a Denver legend. His sauces are great. Chicago hot dog sauce is excellent, too. Wherever his store has been, I've been there. Keep up the good work. So you're a legend, Danny. So don't give me this like I would have never done it. So do you at this point in your life, because you're still look like a young man. You've either aged incredibly well from the hot sauce or you're still a relatively young man in the grand scheme of things. Do you now, what is like next? Do you just constantly try to think of new stuff or are you just kind of working on what you've got? Because I think that it would probably be really cool to just like wake up in the morning and go, okay, what interesting condiment can I add to the mix today? kind of happened to us. So what's next is actually, has actually been released about three weeks ago, which you actually had amazing timing hitting me up on this. I'm so excited to be on the show because we actually just bought our friend's brand of hot sauce out of San Diego. And they've been in business for 33 years. It's called Ring of Fire Hot Sources. This. This to me is legendary hot sauce. Yeah. Well, the great state of California has done so many, so many things to small business out there. They couldn't continue. They would have, they would have gone bankrupt within months. So we actually decided, like I've been friends with them for such a long time. We decided to take on the brand. So we bought all of the IP and the recipes from them and everything. But even before we actually got the recipes from them, I started working on their batches, and I had two bottles of their sauce from two years ago, and I started mimicking those. And before I was even done, and before I got his recipes from Mike and Diane's Gourmet Kitchen, they actually said, we absolutely love these. And we're like, I don't even have your recipe. I'm so excited that you love the sauce. That's fantastic. So now you're keeping a legendary brand alive. and growing the business. Danny, where can people find your hot sauces? Do you have one of those stores that's just got walls of condiments on it? Yeah, we actually do now that you point that out. We have four walls of condiments and hot sauce and everything. So we actually have our facility where we make everything, print off the labels in-house, customize everything. I have my design team here, my production team and everything. Our actual facility is right at the northeast corner of Tahoe and Yale. Okay. You guys can totally find us on Google Maps and Apple Maps and everything. Just run a search for Danny Cash Hot Sauce. And we are open Monday through Friday from 9 to 5. We have total banker hours. But you can also just check out the website too because we send hot sauce all over the world. Danny, I would have come down and see your whole operation. Can I come down and get the nickel to work? Can I come do that? Heck yeah. That would be stupid. One day when I have the baseball game, I'll reach out and we'll set it up. For sure. You know, the baseball games are fun because everything that we make is in plastic bottles. So we bring that Chicago-style hot dog mustard to Rockies slash Cubs games. And we sit in the...

in the seats and we order hot dogs and we load up our hot dogs with everything that goes on a proper hot dog that belongs on a on a Chicago dog and then we just pass the bottles around throughout the stands and everything oh that's awesome Danny Cash I love this story and I really enjoy hot sauce somebody did ask if you ever have a solid poop but I won't ask you to answer that question as the hot sauce guy I really appreciate the time, man. At dandycash.com, you can find out all of the stuff there. So check it out. It's very nice to meet you. And I'll be in touch. I want to come down and check this place out. Sounds good. We'll get your custom labels set up for you. Yay. Oh, no, I'm already thinking. I am already thinking about that. Well, my people, your people, Danny. We'll make it happen. This will happen. All right. Thanks, Danny Cash. We'll talk to you again soon. Thanks, Maddie. All right, have a good one. I'm going to have my own hot sauce. One of my dreams, Rick Lewis, you just walked into the studio. I didn't know you were a big hot sauce. I enjoy a good hot sauce, not just like your basic. You know, if there's nothing but Chalula, I'll use that. But I prefer a more nuanced hot sauce. When I go to the Caribbean, when I go anywhere in the islands, I always come back with like four bottles of hot sauce. You got your pineapple habanero, you got your mango habanero, you know, stuff like that. You build up a tolerance. To the heat? We actually talked about that. I think you probably do. You do. And it's the same as like, you know, your pain receptors sort of get used to it. Okay. And they just are like, okay, it's fine. It's just hot sauce. We're not dying. Keep going hotter and hotter and hotter. No, I have my limit. My middle son put a several Carolina Reaper peppers into a bottle of patron. and let that simmer for like six weeks, right? Then he brings it out on a friend of ours birthday, and we're all going to do a shot of this patroned. Guys, this was like six years ago, and I'm still a little angry about that, okay? Because it was the most noxious, vile liquid that I have ever ingested in my entire life. and it almost came right back up. It was horrible. Have you had a chili beer? I love chili beer, like Ed's Cave Creek out of Arizona. Yes, the one that came to it. That's great beer because it's got a little bit of a mm to it, but it's not going to blast your face off. And it tastes good. And it makes great cheer. I like it. You ever tried that in chili? No, but that's a great idea. Yeah, they make that. Great, great addition to chili. Rick Lewis has stumbled in because now it's time for the most exciting segment on the radio of its kind. In the world. Of the day. Wait a minute. Do I see that you brought Ryan the correct size suit? This is the one that didn't fit him. Oh. But... They wouldn't take it back. So we're going to have to figure out what to do with this. Why don't you raffle it off for a good cause or something? We're going to figure out what to do with it to make sure he can wear it at some point. Oh, so you need a seamstress. Maybe a tailor of some sort. Yep, okay. Or we're going to figure it out. Okay, there you go. All right, what is our dad joke of the day, please? I saw a book that said, how to solve 50% of all of your problems. So I bought two copies.

Clever. Very clever. I get that a 3.5. What is today's word of the day, please? It is a verb? Verbe. Enjoin. Enjoin. Doesn't that mean to prevent somebody from doing something? Isn't that a legal worm? Legal word? Rick, is she on the money or no? I'm going to say yes. To require or prohibit? Yeah. So yeah. It's a legal term. Yes. I know that from my day is answering the phone in my father's law office when I was 15 years old. Oh, that's cute. The thing is you pick up. That's so cute. You were his secretary. Only for the weeks that his secretary was actually on vacation. Okay. Which country music artist, prominent in the 1960s, pursued an earlier career as a baseball player in the Negro American League. It has to be Charlie Pride. He was the only black country artist at the time. Got to be Charlie Pride. Yes, indeed. Yep. Okay. We literally had one option in that one. The 1960s weren't known for black country musicians. No, he was the only one. Now there's a few more. Yeah, there is. I like the black addition to country music. I think they bring in a vibe. Anyway, Rick Lewis, what is our Jeopardy category? First, the updated standings and... A record possibility, Rick, has the chance to tie Ryan this year with three wins. There you go. But Rick would be three and two, Ryan, three, nine, and one. Yeah. Oh, come on. Well, Ryan plays a lot more. Mandy is now 35, 15, and one. And Rick gets to choose a category today. Rick, you get to choose between Fast Food Nation or Three Letter Anatomy. Oh, gosh. I'll go up. Three letter anatomy. Okay. Because I know Mandy would kill the fast food nation. Yeah, the quick ones are tough. Don't give the principle any of this mouth part. Mandy, what his lip? Correct. Jeez. God took this body parts from Adam. Mandy, what's a rib? Correct. Anyone? I'm just staring at you right now. Don't look at me. You're not even finishing the question. You don't have to. It's a blood spiel. I know. Anyone cool knows this is a person's hunch. Person's hunch? Mm-hmm. Anyone cool? Mm-hmm. Anyone? Cool. I don't know. Cool, aka what is hip. Oh. Come on, yeah. Gosh, we're dumb, Rick. You'll find this body part at the center of a hurricane. Mandy, what's the eye? That is correct. And finally, listen to Mark Antony, who might borrow one from a friend, Roman or countryman. Mandy, what's in here? That is also correct. Wow. Yikes. Man, why am I even here? What that? I'm just saying, you chose the category. You chose the category. I don't get to choose the category. I don't get to choose the category ever. That was horrible. Well, I got to tell you. I've been playing, we recorded a bunch of Jeopardy's and we're trying to get caught up. There was two shows in a row where I hated every one of the categories and I got like one right. And I thought to myself, I should write these categories down and tell Arod never to get these categories. But then I know Arod would choose them every day. Absolutely. And they were horrible. You're obviously very good at this. I've got to say, I've never even watched the Jeopardy TV show ever in my life. What? I'm not a game show guy. It's like the, I'm not either, but Jeopardy's the only one I watch. Okay. Because it's cerebral.

It's not an excuse for me. Yeah. Because I completely bombed, but just saying, it's not my thing. Do you know what's coming up on K-O-A sports? I'm not sure what we're going to talk about. I know the draft next week, but did you see that... Diana Rusini resigned from the athletic after that kerfuffle in Sedona, Arizona with Mike Brable. You know, you can't be romance in the people you cover. And secretly, you can't do that. What's interesting to me, they haven't done anything to him. No, since her. He hadn't been suspended. Nobody's talking about him. It was her. It seems to be a double standard here. Well, she has more of a responsibility in her role in that situation, I think, because she's covering the league. to be a little more open. I think if she'd been more open about it and said, I'm not going to talk about Vrable. Anyway, you guys can talk about that next. We'll be back tomorrow for another full show.
