Good morning. This is the answer today. I am Chris Ryan. I appreciate joining us for the show. The memorandum of understanding between the U.S. and Iran has some pressure on at this point in time after Iran is clearly in violation of the memorandum and firing a drone at a Singapore flagged ship that was trying to transit the Strait of Hormuz using a U.N. approved. maritime channel, but not approved by Iran, apparently, but they are not supposed to have discretion over that. And also the reports that they're looking to basically extort shipping companies and nations of $40 billion a year to transit the strait, which also is, in my view, in violation of the kind of the nature of the understanding, but you look at it and there doesn't say anything in regard to the time period after the 60-day threshold. We'll talk about that with former and he hopes future U.S. Senator John E. Sununu coming up in just a little bit here on the program. But first, the latest on what is taking place in the Middle East with Fox's Madeline Rivera. poor flag cargo ship called Ever Lovely was exiting the Strait of Hermuz off the Omani Coast Thursday when it was hit by one IRGC drone. The strike damaged the ship's bridge and as a result, the International Maritime Organization says it's pausing the evacuation operation until it gets more clarity on the situation. The IRGC's Navy has warned vessels will only be allowed to pass in routes that Iran has approved. The Persian Gulf Street Authority says any passage through routes outside the framework designated by PGSA will not be covered by safe passage guarantees and will not be entitled to insurance coverage for related liabilities. Meanwhile, continuing reverberations within the Democratic Party after three candidates either avowed Democratic Socialists or aligned. with the Democratic Socialist Movement, had success in New York, all backed by Zohran Mamdani, as well as Bernie Sanders. Fox's Jackie Heinrich has this report. 13 House Democratic members and candidates signed on to a promise to America initiative. They're pledging to stay true to centrist principles, including capitalism over socialism, fiscal discipline, strong borders, and pride in the United States. One of these lawmakers told Axios, quote, there's going to be war, calling the incoming leftist members, bomb throwers, not problem solvers. Here's Tom Suozzi. Those of us that don't support those far left or far right principles need to do a better job organizing and getting our message out. This comes after candidates endorsed by the Democratic Socialists of America defeated several well-funded incumbents with the help of endorsements from New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Red Sox last night, six three winners over the Yankees in the first of four at NYU Park.

Dick Durbin with the big swing for the Sox. He had a two-run, home run, which ended up being the game winner in the bottom of the fifth inning. Sox went into that frame trailing two to nothing, played at four, all undern runs against Yankees, ace, and current Cy Young front runner in the American League, Cam Schlittler. Here's Dick Durbin post game. What was your mindset in that at bat against Schlippler? Yeah, it was just keeping in the zone, especially the app app before, kind of expanded up a little bit, which. You know, his stuff plays really well at the top, so I tried to get him down a little bit, and he gave me one down that I was able to handle. The fifth inning, just how important was it? Because you guys had so many opportunities prior to that where you have not been able to score, just to kind of push runs across there. Yeah, huge. It's good when you get opportunities because you feel like you got some momentum, but you got to cash in, obviously. So being able to do that was huge. Yankees, four errors and two other key miscues as well, not playing solid baseball at all. Last night, Yankees do lead the American League East. Second to four tonight at Fenway at 710.
