How was the weekend, my friend? Hey, Mike. Thanks so much for having me. Love coming back. This was a great weekend, actually. Moms for Liberty, one of my favorite groups in the country held a major event for the 250th birthday of America at Ellis Island. And I was able to bring three of my sons with me. So we got to spend a day in New York and get some good pizza. It was great. Oh, I got to ask about the pizza. Where did you get pizza from? We got it from Harry's Italian. It's right there kind of by Wall Street. Dave Portnoy gave it seven and a half stars. So we had to try it out. It was pretty good. So do you agree with Portnoy's assertion that it's about 7.5? Yeah, no, yeah, it's about 7.5. That's a good ranking. Very, very little flop and very crispy and hot. It was great. Oh, I love it. Now you got me thinking about pizza, Terry. Hey, I got a couple things I want to hit you with. I don't know if we've talked about this. You're in Virginia, correct? Yes, sir. Yeah, okay. I want to talk about the congressional redistricting maps there. I need you to help me with this. If I'm not mistaken, previously, Virginia was one of the more balanced states. When you look at the congressional delegation, I think it was six Democrats and five Republicans. Maybe I have it backwards. But it was very balanced. And now the new map has been drawn.
And it's 10 Democratic seats and only one Republican. How does that happen? Well, it happens when the federal government gives half of what was formerly Washington, D.C. over to Virginia. This happened in, I think, the 19th century. It happened a while ago. But as we've seen, Virginia's becoming more and more blue over years. Essentially, what these new maps do is they're no longer fair. They basically draw from that... Arlington and Alexandria portion of the state, and they eliminate every other red district except for one. We had a fair map. Abigail Spanberger, our current governor here in Virginia, campaigned on not gerrymandering and not redistricting. But what we're seeing now, Mike, is now the rest of the country is going to redistricting. And so this is now a redistricting battle. It's going to keep getting worse. You know, so we'll see what happens in the midterms, but it looks like those, the gains that Democrats are making in this redistricting battle are going to be offset by other redistricting by Republican states in the south. And was there was an attempt to block that? Where does that stand as far as a legal challenge? Well, right now there is a legal challenge. It's all the way at the Virginia Supreme Court. We'll see where they come down. But there is a little bit of hope that they strike down this jurymandering. But I'm not too optimistic about it. And the same thing happened in Louisiana. I mean, it's these... The whole idea of using racism to fight racism, I mean, that's essentially what they're trying to do is, you know, they're adding these black districts and, you know, they're, the Democrats, they seem to really like racism, Terry. And then you, we really didn't get a chance to talk too much about the SLPC, the Southern Law Poverty Center, essentially. creating racism so they can fight it and funding dollars towards racist groups like the KKK because without racism, the Democrat Party can't exist. That's exactly right, Mike. The Democratic Party is doing everything they can to keep these white supremacist groups around. They're even inventing new white supremacist groups. It came out, Mike, that big unite the right rally that everyone got upset about. It was actually funded in large part to the Southern Poverty Law Center. It's totally crazy.
But look, I think this is a good time to reflect on the progress that America has made. We are a good nation. We have done so much to stamp out these white supremacist groups and these racist institutions. And it's so much so. We made so much progress that the left has to fund new groups to keep it alive. It is a beautiful country. We had to stop out these illegal activities in these terrible organizations that are hurting us. Yeah, I just, it's so funny to me. So do you know where does that, is the SLPC, are they still in business? Have they been shut down? Do they have a future? What's going on with them? Well, they're basically being indicted and they're being prosecuted by the Department of Justice. So we'll see how that case comes out. But look, this is a criminal organization. I believe I read a report that said that they had over $150 million in offshore counts. That's weird, Mike. I've been in the nonprofit advocacy space for about 13 years now. I don't have any foreign accounts. And we've raised some decent money. It's weird. What are you doing? Where are your loyalties? Because if you have foreign bank accounts and you're hiding money overseas... You're probably not pushing for America's best interest. That's just my instinct. Yeah. And as I was reading up on the situation in Virginia with that, you know, the congressional redistricting there, I mean, a lot of dark money flowed in to buy ads in that situation as well. So, yeah, I mean, when you start to see dollars come in from overseas, that's a giant red flag, Terry. It's huge. And the reality is that you don't, you have a right to have tax deductibility America, but only if you're helping the country, only if you're actually advocating for the American people and to make our lives better. These groups that are receiving foreign funding, they should lose their tax deductibility status because they're not fighting for America's interests, right? And that's actually kind of at the heart. of what President Trump was running on with the Make America Great Again campaign and the America First campaign. We have all these advocacy groups that put America last, and they're getting foreign funding for it. We shouldn't allow it. They should be able to spend their money, do what they want, but they shouldn't get a tax write-off for it. 100%. Oh, well, you know, we're going all over the country. We're raising money for the midterms, but we're also looking at 2028. We just got back a series of focus groups from the state of Iowa. We're going to New Hampshire and South Carolina. You know, a lot of people tell me when I bring up the focus group for 2028, they say, oh, that's so far off. But Mike, we will have a Republican nominee within two years.
Right? And we have to know where the American people are at and what they're thinking about this 2028 election and what needs to get done. So we're already in the field, gearing up to make sure that we keep the presidency in 2020. Yeah, that's crazy. I mean, we've got our Ohio primary tomorrow. And as you point out, most folks are focused on the midterms in November. You're a step ahead. You're looking at 2028. I love it. So what kind of data, what kind of the knowledge did you gain from some of your research? Oh, thank you for asking. So basically, Americans want to put the family at the heart of our public policy. We did a focus group with men and with women in Iowa, and both groups said that they felt like the American family have been put on the back burner and that other institutes and organizations like government programs and unions and big businesses were getting too much of the special treatment and that the family needs to be more of a priority. They don't want big government programs. They want the free market, but they want to get rid of the barriers that are keeping young people from being able to get married and starting their own family. So we're very excited about all this. We still have to come up with the policies that meet these descriptions. We have a really good sense of where the American people are at of what they want to do. You ain't heard about Moto Casino?
