The U.S. Soccer Podcast. These players are battered and exhausted, but you don't hurt like this if you don't care about this team, about this country, about this game. You can feel the intensity, the goals, the energy that, wow, look at us. Here in the U.S., I have got some news for you. There's so much more to come. My name is Megan Klingberg, and we're just getting started. The U.S. Soccer Podcast, presented by Henkel. Follow and listen on your favorite platform. So can we all agree now that this whole grand platinum, the senator or not senator, yeah, don't think he's going to be, this Senate candidate from Maine, this fallout, Democrats calling for him to get out of the race? Can we all agree that maybe this was the least surprising bit of the news out of the midterms this year? Am I supposed to be shocked by any of this? Am I supposed to be like, oh my gosh, this is quite a development? We're surprised that he's a scumbag? We knew he was a scumbag. I'm just, I'm definitely not shocked by this. I don't know. Wait, what? The one thing that's frustrating about it to me, though, and we'll talk about it. I'll give you the latest. There's a lot to get to on the show. But things are really frustrating to me is, I'm glad he's getting some pushback. I'm glad they're calling for him to resign. Obviously, these are serious allegations of sexual assault, everything else. But you know, I almost wish that he were being rejected because he's a socialist. How about we reject him over the fact that he's a radical leftist who has said some pretty crazy things in the past on policy? on not just socialism, but on praising Hamas and disparaging veterans and all of this stuff. Maybe it'd be nice if we actually rejected some of these radical leftists for, you know, being radical leftists. Maybe not good for the party or the country. I'm just pointing that out. Just pointing that out. You are listening to Yeffi Live. This is the show where you can count on the latest news, the best guests, and the best live and local talk, all for your midday commute right here on. The Doc Monster. If anyone is surprised, you can tell me on the text monster. 423-267-1023. Looks like he is probably going to drop out of the race. This is all being done right before the deadline, I guess, to do so. They want to get someone else in there, but I mean, it all helps Susan Collins. Of course, this idea, I hear Democrats saying, but we still have to beat Susan Collins. She is just a yes vote for Trump. She is? Since when? Susan Collins? Really? I almost think it's part of the reason why Democrats have been more okay with getting rid of Graham Platner because if Susan Collins wins, I mean, she's like a moderate Democrat at this point anyway, so it's not the biggest deal to them. We'll talk about that in the moment. We do have the Tennessee bullet points as well, the top stories from around the state. Looks like Senator Marsha Blackburn, who's going to be Tennessee's next governor. She's putting out a bill now that targets birth tourism. This is after that Supreme Court birthright citizenship ruling. So we'll talk about that later on. The U.S. lost the World Cup. I know what to get to that. We'll do our sports monster segment of the day. Joe the Cowboy might join us. We'll get the breakdown from him. But of course, they'll talk about it during Sport Talk 3 to 7 p.m. Trump is over in Turkey meeting with NATO. And basically some of these stories about NATO are.

3:46

Just make me laugh. This idea that NATO is going to decouple from the U.S. Oh, they're not going to buy weapons from the U.S. anymore. No, they don't trust us. No, we're a threat to them. They don't believe that. They don't actually believe that. So we'll discuss that. In the next hour, speaking of the Supreme Court rulings, we'll speak with Zach Smith. He is a legal expert with the Heritage Foundation. He is going to join us to give us his breakdown on all the big ones. You finally got a name I can spell. I was about to say, yeah, just for you, Max. Oh, man, I feel so good about that. Just for you. If you get Zach. How do you spell Zach? Z-A-C-K. Okay, good. You got it right. Sometimes it has an age, but this one's got to care. Sometimes I have trouble with Smith. Yeah, sure you do. Sure you do. We'll talk to him later on in the show. I also see that there's some Democrats trying to bring back this pot for potholes. campaign, which is so dumb, which is so dumb. So we might discuss that. We're on the show with Yafi's Monster Rewind. As I mentioned, we have our text Monster 423-267-1023, and Captain Max is here producing as well. Max, how are you, sir? I'm doing very well today. You know, I've been watching this thing about this building up in New York. It started falling early, and the beams are bending, and the bricks are coming off, and they've evacuated a bunch of people up there. Yeah, so I'm looking at the screen right now. Who is the building inspector on this deal? I don't know. So I'm looking at the screen right now. I see these bent beams, which is, yeah, extremely concerning. Holy cow. They're saying now the building's coming down. It's going to come down. So I don't know how tall this building is. I don't know what building it is. Apparently they're talking with hotel employees, so there might be, there's always a hotel that's a part of the building. But, yeah, that's terrifying. Well, if you're in New York and you're listening, make sure you got your hard hat on. At least they evacuate your hard hat on it. You might get a break in the head. What's a crazy stuff going on in New York these days. Well, imagine that. Not only do they have a communist mayor, but you have the guys that went up to the Empire State Building. Yeah, yeah. You know, and now this? I don't know what's going on in that town. I'm shocked. Yeah, you're not surprised. Not surprised at all. So, but how are you, Max, today? I'm good. I'm good. Okay, you know, Dale Jackson, host of Uncancelable, even though I've tried to cancel it. Yes. He disagrees with us on the Carter employee. You know, we played a yesterday, and then he got fired because he said,

6:29

If you don't like America, get out or something, basically. Yeah, something like that. Well, here's the deal. If he disagrees, I know we're right now. Okay, good. He disagrees. I was surprised. No, apparently he's with the employer that get rid of that guy. That is not what you do on the incline railway. You don't say those things. He should be fired. All I know is I. When I first saw the headline, I thought it was going to be something really bad. And then I listened to it. And I was like, I cannot believe that Dale Jackson would think anybody should be fired for anything they say. Oh, well, he believes everyone else is cancelable. But he is the one who was uncancellable. I got him going. I told him there's a meeting tomorrow. And was he coming? And he said, what meeting? Yeah, but the problem. The problem with that, Max, is now he's going to come. He's going to show up. No, I don't think he will. I don't think he will. He's going to show up. Then we have to deal with them longer. I'm just saying, all right, let me give the latest details on this grand platinum stuff. And I already see people texting on the text monster and saying, oh, Trump is worse. Trump is worse. You supported Trump. He's worse. Blah, blah, blah. Okay. Yes, we know you don't like Trump. So according to the Associated Press. It says Democrats begin pulling Graham Platner endorsements. This is after the main candidate faces sexual assault allegation. So a woman who previously dated Maine Democratic Senate candidate, Graham Platner, said he drunkenly forced her to have sex with her after she told him to stop. That's according to a report by Politico. And police work, we call out a rape. Yes, yes, that's right. Leading prominent supporters to pull their endorsements and throwing a must-win race for the party in turmoil. Now, Planner denied the allegation on Monday, but said he would be considering next steps for his campaign. Now, the girl, her name is Jenny Recicott, who lives in Maine, told Politico that Graham Platner entered her home in 2021 while drunk and assaulted her. She said she had been in an on and again off again relationship with Plattenor, but she cut off contact with him after that night and told him the incident wasn't consensual. Now, a voicemail left at the number listed for her seeking comment did not receive an immediate response from the Associated Press, but she did do an interview with CNN, which I'll play in a moment. Now, I saw that Chuck Schumer has actually withdrawn his endorsement. Now, I mentioned that Graham Platner said he is denying this, basically. So here's what he said. He released a video. I have not seen any news that he is withdrawn yet. A lot of people thought that was going to come today, that he was going to make an announcement that he's getting out of this race. I have not seen any of that so far. But here's what he said. I wanted to directly address the troubling, serious, and false allegations against me. Any accusation of non-consensual behavior is categorically false. Over the last 10 months, I have been deeply humbled by the faith Mainers have put in me. You have welcomed me into your homes, into your places of work, into your restaurants, into your houses of worship. You have shown that a different kind of politics, one that puts the interests of people over corporations, is not just possible, but is inevitable.

9:53

This movement we have built, the largest volunteer base in the history of Maine politics, the hundreds of thousands of grassroots donors, and the supporters across the ideological spectrum, we were united in a love of Maine, a belief that our politics must change, and a focus on defeating Susan Collins. All right, so he's making it about the movement. instead of himself, which is politically speaking, that's pretty smart. Now, this is his accuser on CNN. By the way, this is like the third accuser. I mean, none of this should be surprising. We've been hearing about this for months. But here is Jenny Ray Scott. He was heavily intoxicated, had intentions with me, and wasn't listening when I said, no. And you were saying, no, don't, no, don't, over and over. I remember, you know, obviously I've had to recall a lot of this. This is something that I tried for many years to forget. And so small details. You know, might get past me, but yes, I remember very specifically saying, I'm not into this. I remember that the most, sort of saying that the most firmly. I remember specifically him, like, grabbing at my chest, and I, like, hit his hand, and I said, don't touch me. And I remember that during the altercation. And then he kept going. Yeah. I... know that you have been very reluctant to tell this story. Very reluctant. Yeah. I'm actually surprised you're here. I've thrown up three times today. Is that right? Yeah. Why did you ultimately decide to do it? Why come forward? A few reasons. One of the biggest ones is that I think that there are a lot of men in this world relying on the silence of women. All right, like I said, the least surprising thing, there are multiple allegations. The only difference with this, I guess, than the other ones, the other ones, the women were Republicans, but this one was a Democrat, so I guess we have to believe it now. I don't know. John Fetterman, who is trying to talk some sense into the people in his party. He's a Democrat from Pennsylvania, Senator. He said Bernie Sanders should apologize for endorsing Grand Plattenor. I don't think it's going to happen. Now there are reports of Bernie Sanders suggested weeks ago for Graham Platner to step aside. But here is what John Fetterman said. Refused to overlook that. But honestly, I would I would really call Bernie Sanders to apologize for pushing this kind of predator more than anyone he helped. him elect and now apologize to the victims, especially the woman that she claimed that he raped her. So I don't know why you want to keep pushing these kinds of people. Maybe he should consider set a few out and stop pushing these kind of communists and people and now people, you know, like P. Hustle now, he has been credibly accused of rape.

12:58

And that's fairly recent, too. That was only less than five years ago. All right. So John Fetterman's like, I wish the people in my party would have some sense. All I have to say, though, is maybe he should have been rejected for having a Nazi tattoo, for praising Hamas, for being a radical leftist. Maybe he should have been rejected. That's what's scary. Honestly. that Democrats voted for that guy and praised him up until this point. There were many things before, even if you ignore the sexual assault allegations. There were a lot of problems, but they loved him. That's the real issue. That's the scary thing. But this is just too far. And it looks like he is probably going to be kicked out of this race. If you want to weigh in on this, you can. We have our text monster. Yes, 423-2671023. Sponsored by Warren and Griffin, Chattanooga, is the largest injury law firm. We'll have the Tennessee bullet points coming up next. Got to talk about President Trump in Nate or in Turkey for a NATO summit today. You are listening to You have your life.
