We were talking about my allergies, you know. Yeah. Very important topic, my allergies. Well, you know. I got allergy tested today. People got to get to know you. They do the thing where, you know, they put the little drops on your back or whatever and see the reaction. Yeah. And then they do the thing where they stick just a little bit under your skin, you know. Yeah, the little needles. Yeah. I love those. Just so much fun, you know. Yeah. I got to take a little nap, though. They're like, I'll just lay down here. We'll get on your back. I was like, okay, just go right to sleep here. Honestly, couldn't sleep. One person said this, said, just FYI, if you're allergic to cats and you're around them a lot, it's hurting your immune system. It might help keep you sick when you catch a bug. My poor kitty, I'm just going to be like, you have to stay away from me. This cat does never stay away from me. Yeah, go and tell your wife she needs to get rid of the cats. I'll tell you who will be leaving. Yeah. Not the cats. I mean, my cat, I've had my cat since he was a little kitten, and he's 17 years old now. Wow. So obviously can't get rid of them. I had one that lived 21 years outside. Really? Yes. Yeah, we had a, my family had a cat growing up that lived about 22. I guess. Someone said take allergy shots. Yes, I'm going, that's, I mean, that's why I went. Yeah. That is going to be coming. But I was thinking about it. I'm guessing I'm probably allergic to kitty litter as well because it's cats in dust, right, in kitty litter? I would think so, yeah. Oh, sorry, Steffie. You're going to have to be the one to empty the kitty litter. every day. I'm, I'm, no, you don't think that's gonna. She's not called by the, no, no. Look, you should be like, have you emptied the kitty with her, honey? I'm sorry, I'm gonna work, doctor's orders. Steffi, in fact,
I can't change diapers anymore. Somehow that ended up on the list. Kids. Oh, you're allergic to poop? Kids diaper. No, just kids diapers. No, okay. You don't think it's going to work, huh? No. No? Okay. Just check on. Try that out. Just remember what you promised that lady. Yeah, that's true. That's true. To do is you're told. All right. So we have the ladies of the Graham Platner. stuff, this main Senate candidate still has not dropped out of the race. I keep waiting. I'm like looking at my phone. I'm like, okay, pull this up, breaking news. I don't think you will till it's very last second. Apparently what's going on is he wants to make demands of the party. So he wants to pick who's going to be the person if it's not going to be him. Yeah, that makes sense. It makes sense, but. I mean, talk about... I don't think that'll work. Well, talk about the goal. You're basically ruining the party's chances in your state because, well, you're a scumbag. And you're making demands now of other people in the party. You think they're going to be okay with that? Well, they've dropped him like a hot rock, haven't they? Man, they should have dropped him a long time ago. Now, Devin Murphy... This person's name is Devin Murphy Anderson. She is with the Democratic Party in Maine. And she did an update on that talking about how he needs to resign, but it hasn't yet. I must drop out of this race so that Democrats in May. Hi, everyone. I wanted to provide you all an update on the U.S. Senate race here in Maine. As you know, the Maine Democratic Party has been working around the clock to develop a process to replace our U.S. Senate nominee that is open, inclusive, transparent, and fair. The integrity of this process is just as important as the outcome, and we are committed to ensuring that Democrats across our state can have confidence in both. Unfortunately, Graham Platner's team has repeatedly reached out to us in an attempt to put their thumb on the scale of what this process looks like. We have repeatedly reiterated to Graham Platner's team that they have no role in determining our next Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate, nor in determining what this process looks like. We have also reiterated that Graham Platner must drop out of this race so that Democrats in Maine can focus on defeating Susan Collins this November. We look forward to making this process public as soon as Graham Platner formally withdraws from this race. So I just find that interesting. We're already finding out this guy isn't. Such a stand-up guy. George, I'm going to run things. Yeah, all this is happening. And this is just the latest example. This guy isn't a stand-up guy. Now, he is still making demands, even after everything. So they've obviously had enough. But I wanted to play this good as well. This is Scott Jennings. He's the voice of reason of CNN. You know, I'm the voice of reason of Tennessee, of Georgia. He's the voice of reason of CNN. But he had talked about this.
I want to play this because it's kind of a funny point, but you know, he's kind of right here. I'm amazed at just how breezily Democrats are out there publicly discussing subverting the will of the people of Maine. Graham Platner overwhelmingly won a primary, 98% of what we know about Graham Platner. We already knew. The voters knew. The Democrats knew. The activists knew. The donors knew. Everybody knew. There's a reason why every... They voted for him. Summer of 24 right now. They voted for him anyway. Your grand Graham Platner hasn't dropped out of this race yet. But if grand Graham Platner does drop out. But you have all these Democrats and even some of the... Well, I guess we'll have to get somebody else. You had a vote. This is a democracy. The Democrats voted. And now the party of democracy is apparently going to subvert the will of the people. What you're here is from... So it's a little tongue in cheek. Wait a minute, you can't say that? No, they always do that to him. Oh, gosh. It's a little tongue and cheek, but he's making an interesting point here. He's like, look, the Democrat Party in Maine, the Democrat voters in Maine, they knew this guy was a scumbag. They knew all this already. This is just one more thing. And they voted for him. So maybe they should just keep them because apparently... That's the kind of guy the Democrat Party wants. That really is one of the big things here, the disturbing things, that this guy with all of his baggage, beyond the sexual assault allegations, all of his baggage, and he was still able to win that primary. A lot of what we know about him, we already knew, and he's still won. It's only now that they're saying that. There is something kind of a... Kind of revealing about that. And I think Scott Jennings makes a good point. Now, I do want to talk about this real quick. I'm going to read some of this from yellowhammer news.com. So Congressman Dale Strong, he's out of Huntsville. He thinks that American students aren't top proper patriotism in public schools and has introduced the legislation to change that dynamic. So the congressman introduced the promoting American patriotism in our schools Act, which requires all elementary and secondary schools receiving federal funding to recite the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of each school day, to prominently display the United States flag in all classrooms and gymnasiums, and incorporate educational materials on the history, significance, and proper display of the American flag. Now, there was a time in this country, I would assume you didn't really need to pass a bill on that. Schools just automatically did that, right? You did it, yeah. I remember that. I think when I was in grade school, Florida had passed a law to require American flags in all the school rooms. So Congressman Dale Strong also went on. Newsmax, to talk about this a little bit, here's what he said. Well, I think it's actually different in Alabama. My grandmother taught second grade for 38 years at Monrovia Elementary School in Huntsville, Alabama. And I remember starting our day off with prayer and a pledge of allegiance. I can tell you right now that's something that's not going on all over our country. And I think that one of the things that we're offering in this legislation would be where we start the day off in every classroom with a pledge of allegiance to.
our country and then also we would have a flag in every classroom and even in the gymnasiums in every school. By the way, my daughter Evie is not in school yet, but I've been teaching her the pledge. It's actually really cute. We were at the bookstore recently and she saw some books with the American flag and she goes, She goes, Daddy, America books, America books. I was like, I am just. That's cool. I'm so proud of my kid right now. They need to know. They really do. And we're not teaching them anymore. They really do. Here is more from Dale Strong. Well, it's just one of those things that we are fortunate to live in this free country. And a lot of people may forget that. But I've traveled outside of this country. And I'm just telling you right now, we are fortunate to live here. And what we've got to do is reemphasize patriotism. And I think it starts at a young age. I think we've failed in many cases of doing that. And it's time to take it back to the forefront. Now, he said something there that's pretty important. We're not just going to teach patriotism just for the sake of teaching patriotism or American history. We should teach it because it's true because what he said there is true that we are very fortunate, blessed, lucky to live here. People need to realize. We're teaching them, yes, what they should realize to give them perspective that this is a great country. And that's not controversial. Of course, don't say that on the incline. No, no, no. Oh, no. One more cut. One more cut here from Dale Strong. I'll tell you this right here. When you see what's going on in our country today, socialism, Marxism, I can only imagine if my grandfather and my great-grandfather were here today to see this. This is absolutely against the principles of America. You think about it. This country was based on Christian principles. And what we've done is we've allowed others to come into this country. And in many cases, they've failed to assimilate. They want to waive a flag of another country. We want them to wave the American flag. We're the most generous country this world's ever seen. Somewhere between 800,000 to 1.2 million people are allowed to come into America legally every year. But I can tell you this right here. When the last administration allowed 15 million to cross the southern border is totally unsustainable, and this is against everything America stands for. I'd agree with that, too. Illegal immigration is a big part of it, but it's not the only part. We have a lot of kids that are real American citizens that are not taught to love this country. And unfortunately, with a lot of young people, it's cool, you know, not to like the country. I won't mention to school, but last year I went to several basketball games where some of my grandkids play. Okay. During the Star-Spangled Banner, the cheerleaders are snatching and grabbing at each other. They're not standing in attention. Oh, really? You know, and it just burns me up that a teacher does not go down there and jerk them out of line. I know that's what would have happened if we'd have done something like that.
Yeah, wow. That is kind of amazing, especially cheerleaders. Little respect for the country, you know. I agree with that. And for the people who died, I just get frustrated. I can understand why that's frustrating because really it's, we can blame the kids, but it's the parents, it's the teachers. They've not been taught. They haven't been taught. There's no discipline. Uh-oh, we're getting into our old crumudgeon stances. I'm proud to be an old cramudgeon because things were a lot better when I was an old young crumudgeon. And in some ways, in some ways. Not in every way. Well, it was a pretty nice place to live. All right. If you want to weigh and you can. 423-267-1023. 4-2-67-1023.
