Anyway, I just had to throw that in. Good. We are reinstating the Iranian blockade so named because it's only stopping Iran ships or customers from entering or leaving. All other countries will have fair and open use of the strait. The USA will be from this point forward known as the Guardian of the Hormuz Strait. But as such, and as a matter of fairness, will be in reimbursed at the rate of 20% on all cargo shipped. for any and all costs necessary to do the job of providing safety and security to this very volatile section of the world. Like I said, I don't really care about the reimbursement part. I understand what he's trying to do. And politically speaking, some people are complaining about the cost of the war. So it's like, oh, we're getting reimbursed. But I'm with Captain Max. And I'll just get the job done. How many battleships as the United States have now? Do you have any idea? I do not. That's a good question. I know we have some battleships over there. I know we have less than we should. We have a lot less than we did in, say, the 80s. And we know why. Yeah, I wish. I brought that up on the show before we need to bring back that number. By the way, someone texted in on the text monster when it came to Lindsey Graham said, The death of Lindsey Graham was just too suspicious, and that is something that's already come up. You're going to get the conspiracy theories no matter what, because he had just gotten back from Ukraine. He was obviously on a hit list from Iran. Iran said they want to assassinate him. But apparently, you know, when you have these heart conditions, this can happen. It's hard to think a rupture to aorta. Yeah, yeah. I mean, I just don't think you really have to dig into a conspiracy theory in that regard. Our government would have to be in on it and all that stuff. But this is the world we live in. This is... One person said this. You don't agree with Trump getting paid for our services to blockade and keep the straight open? We're a revolving trash removal service. We should be paid handsomely to keep the trash removed. I mean, I'm not saying I have such a huge problem with it. I'm just saying it's... not our main objective right now. Let's take care of the problem. Then we'll worry about the rest of it. Because we complain, oh, it's costing us money. Yeah. But that's not, it's also, it being open really helps our economy too. Put it that way. It doesn't just help those other countries. It helps us too here. And that's one of the main reasons to do it. We'll talk more about Lindsey Graham or Ron a little bit later on. Right now, though, we've got to get to the Tennessee side of things with those Tennessee bullet points.

Number four today, Jefferson County Sheriff creates crime suppression unit, which has been modeled on the best ideas from around the nation. So Jefferson County, Tennessee Sheriff Jeff Coffey, has launched an impact crime suppression unit. It's a proactive initiative modeled on successful crime fighting programs from departments across the nation, including a full-time effort in Oklahoma City. Now, the unit concentrates law enforcement resources, deputies, and other resources on high crime hotspots for short, high visibility saturation operations using intelligence-led policing and targeted enforcement. It focuses on violent offenders, narcotics, repeat criminals, wanted persons, illegal firearms, and other quality of life crimes. Now, recent operations on July 1 and 2 produced 200 law enforcement activities, including 26 arrests, 124 traffic stops, 39 citations, and 3DUIs. With noticeable reductions in emergency calls afterward due to the visible police presence, Jefferson County 911 plays a key support role by researching records during operations. Sheriff Coffey describes a program as dedicated to identifying, disrupting, and reducing criminal activity to improve public safety. This is something I wish, I think we need to bring here. I'm just saying certain areas of Chattanooga, I think would be a good place to do some of this. Number three. Starbucks corporate welfare deal, which we talked about a bunch on the show, apparently will cost Tennessee taxpayers about $15,000 per promised job that comes out of it. So I got this from our good friends at the Tennessee Conservative. Tennessee has approved a $30 million fast track grant to help Starbucks relocate its headquarters to Nashville as part of an anticipated $100 million investment expected to create 2,000 jobs over the next few years. Now, critics label the deal, corporate welfare, calculating that it will cost Tennessee taxpayers about $15,000 per promised job. While questioning why one of the world's largest companies needs public subsidies in a state already ranked highly for business friendliness. Now, there are also concerns over the state's poor history of recovering funds from failed incentive deals with at least 70 companies failing to deliver jobs since the program began. Broader fast track spending of nearly $758 million and $570 companies in eight years. And there's opposition to this by a lot of conservatives, not just because of the corporate welfare part, but also because Starbucks is kind of one of these left-wing woke companies to a lot of people. Now, Governor Bill Lee and Senator Marsha Blackburn, though, support the move as a win for Tennessee low-tax business-friendly environment that could generate significant payroll and tax revenue.
