Welcome to the Vince Coakley Radio program. Glad you are here. Hope you had a great weekend. We begin with the many events associated with the war against Iran. A lot of moving parts here and the implications of this. Not just relates to war and the global map. but also the economic impact. And we are seeing this expand, the longer this goes on. Some of the drudge headlines on this, the price of oil now surging above $100 a barrel. Now, with a point of global financial panic, Buck Rain, a desalination plant has been hit. There's a new leader. In Iran, at least for the time being, it's Hamidi's son, the new supreme leader. You'll hear about that and the fact that he's already been injured. A warning out of the Kremlin. The end of the world is upon us. And I mentioned the implications of what's taking place with this war. The economic impact gas prices now up 17% since this conflict started. And the cost of plane tickets set to soar. So the impact of this goes far and wide. I think one of the things that... I think it's important to say at the start of the broadcast before we take a deep dive into a number of these issues. This is a time President Donald Trump needs to speak to the American people to spell out what the goal of this mission is, why it's in America's best interests, and at the same time, there has to be a place where he explains. The sacrifice that is going to be required because make no mistake about it, you are going to sacrifice here. We all will. We're going to hear more about the economic cost of this a little bit later on. But there are other implications as well. There are political questions here because there are those who believe that we had no business going into Iran in the first place, whether it's a constitutional issue or whether it's an issue connected to the communicated message from Donald Trump about staying out of foreign wars. There are folks who are profoundly disappointed about the fact that we are there in the first place. So...
We will talk about that and we'll also get your perspective because I know that many of you would be very eager to comment on that particular situation, the wise and wherefores and your perhaps disappointment with the fact that some different people seem to be in the ear of President Donald Trump. I was listening to the conversation. with Mick Mulvaney in the last hour. And this was one of the subjects where he was speaking to the fact clearly there are other voices Donald Trump is listening to that did not have his ear so clearly in the first administration. So there will be opportunity to speak on that as we continue the broadcast. I want to begin with the new leader, Machetama Hominy. And it's kind of interesting because Breitbart reports this guy has been confirmed as the new leader and he's already been wounded. It has since emerged since an appointment that the man following his father into the post has been wounded in an unspecified incident at a time and place unknown. The Associated Press reports television news anchors referred to the mid-level Shiite cleric as Jean-Baz or wounded by the enemy in the Ramadan War, which is how media in Iranian regime refers to the current conflict. It does not elaborate on the mystery injury. However, Hamidi's father and his wife were killed in the February 28th Israeli airstrike in Tehran that started the fight for freedom from the brutal Islamic dictatorship. The younger homini has yet to be seen since the conflict started. Indeed, he's barely been seen in his entire life. There was a statement affirming. that they were ready to fully obey and devote the divine orders of the supreme leader of the time, Ayatollah Sayyad, Multaba, Harmony, and preserve the values of the Islamic Revolution, according to Iran's news agency. The Daily Mail notes the vengeful hardline cleric is already marked for assassination by Israel, after it vowed to eliminate whoever succeeded the late Ayatollah. The news of Mosh Tabah, becoming the next Supreme Leader of Iran, comes after President Donald Trump told ABC News, the next person to assume that role would have to get approval from the United States. Adding without approval, he's not going to last long. Trump explaining he's going to have to get approval from us. If he doesn't get approval from us, he's not going to last long. We want to make sure we don't have to go back every 10 years. Well, you don't have a president like me that's not going to do it. Oh, boy. So this new leader is already a marked man. Who knows how long he will be around to carry out whatever war plans he may be thinking of executing.
Still to come on the broadcast, the other interesting geopolitical issue on the map, the question of our relationship with the United Kingdom. The British decide to help out, but Donald Trump says it's kind of late. We'll talk about this conflict and get the perspective of one man who may become the prime minister of the United Kingdom. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Your local Toyota dealer has great deals available today on RAV4, Grand Highlander, Camry, and Corolla with the features and style you deserve. It means driving for less with hybrid and plug-in hybrid options across the lineup, delivering great MPGs. And it means trading for more. Toyota is known for building long-lasting vehicles, meaning your car will hold its value for years to come. Shopped Toyota.com to find out more. Toyota, let's go places. Boy, that's an appropriate message. Right now what's going on in the global stage. It's kind of late to turn back now. And already we're seeing the impact on global financial markets. The Dow Jay Jones Industrial Average, the NASDAQ composite index, and S&P 500, each down about 1% to start the day. It could have been worse. Japan's Niki index plunging about 5%. European stock markets shedding 1 to 2%. Are you sitting down? You might want to sit down before you hear this next line. All reported by the Washington Post is breaking news. Meanwhile, analysts warning of U.S. pump prices of $4 a gallon. An important psychological barrier that unlike most economic numbers is broadcast from street corners nationwide. If you didn't pay attention to all of those 1%, 2%, 5% numbers earlier with the stock market, I'm sure the $4 a gallon gas got your attention. And it could be coming your way. We'll talk more about that a little bit later on. Are you willing to pay the price? Is this? something that you expected, bargain for, and continue to trust President Donald Trump on this particular matter based on how things are developing thus far. One relationship that has been very interesting to watch is in the United Kingdom. I continue to be, I guess you can say, saddened. to watch the continued demise of the United Kingdom. That's our mother country. And it is systematically disassembling itself. This is not the effect of outside forces. Well, some could argue some of its outside forces with the immigration process that has taken place over the years.
But these are largely self-inflicted wounds. And whether you think the Brits ought to help us or not, what's sad to me is what you see is not a display of bold leadership. See, I would respect the Keir Starmer who comes out and says, you know what? We're Britain first. And this is not our war. And we are not going to get involved. I would respect that. What we're getting is this wishy-washy, measly mouth garbage. And as a result, whatever respect we might have had for the United Kingdom and its current leadership, it's dissipated. And I'm sure the people inside the country are not impressed either. This is clearly a government that's unborrowed time. We learned from the BBC that Sir Keir Starmer and Donald Trump have spoken for the first time since the U.S. President angrily criticized the U.K.'s Iran response. Number 10, released limited details of the cause, saying the two leaders discussed the situation in the Middle East and military cooperation between the U.S. and the U.K. On Saturday, the president said the UK was considering sending aircraft carriers to the Middle East, but dismissed the prospect. Writing on social media, we don't need people to join wars after we've already won while labeling Britain our once great ally. Sir Kerr. has previously said the UK would not join offensive actions, but agreed to let the US use British bases for defensive strikes on Iranian missile sites. It is our job as the UK government to decide what's in the UK national interest, and that doesn't mean simply agreeing with other countries or outsourcing our foreign policy to other countries. You know, there is a sense of what I just communicated earlier. But it's not completely sound here. There's some wishy-washiness. Following the phone call between Trump and Sir Kerr, Downing Street said in a statement, the leaders began by discussing the latest situation in the Middle East and the military cooperation between the UK and U.S. through the use of RAF bases in support of the collective self-defense of partners in the region. So they talked further. The prime minister also shared his heartfelt condolences with President Trump, the American people following the deaths of six U.S. soldiers. And I understand that is now seven. They look forward to speaking again soon. Despite the criticism from Trump, Downing Street is defending its decision not to join the initial strikes, and as reiterated, it does not want to participate in the wider offensive campaign in the Middle East. Cooper, Yvette Cooper, said the criticism from Trump, Downing Street, has defended its decision not to join the initial strikes.
And the UK would provide defensive support when we see Iranian strikes on partner countries where British citizens are residing. RAF jets have been sent to the region to shoot down missiles and drones fired by Iran at UK allies. The UK aircraft carrier, HMS Prince of Wales, has been placed on advance readiness, but the Foreign Secretary would not confirm whether it would be sent to the region. We have a couple of clips of audio on this subject, one of them, a very quick one, where Donald Trump makes his very strong and flippant remark about British help. Here is the president. We don't need them. It's not the right time. It would have been nice to have had them two weeks ago. We don't need them. Would have been nice to have them two weeks ago. I mean, it is kind of weird to think of the idea of, oh, we'll think about deploying an aircraft carrier now. How long is it going to take to get there? Should have been in place before now. And again, I'm not telling what the Brits to do, but make up your freaking minds. and show some resolve and courage. If you want to wait, if you want to stand firm and say, this isn't our war, declare that and say you're not going to help at all. Anyway, one person who's not impressed by all of this, in fact, interestingly enough, while this little spat has been going on, over the weekend, where was Nigel Farage? the leader of the UK Independence Party, Reform Party. He happened to be at Marlago. of all places. He has a very close relationship with President Donald Trump. Here is what he had to say about the relationship between the president and Kare Keir Starmer. He has in his career forgiven people who've turned against him. He doesn't do it quickly. And I see very little prospect of the relationship between Keir Starmer and Trump improving. I mean, even now. The British Prime Minister is calling for a negotiated settlement with the Iranians, provided they promise to give up nuclear weapons. Well, we did all this back in 2015 with the JCPOA deal. So the British Prime Minister is living at least 10 years out of date on everything. No, this relationship with Trump and Keir Starmer is over. Wow. That's pretty firm. Now, as you know, there has been a conversation between the two leaders since that comment was made. But I think he's got a pretty strong point here that there isn't much to work with with the waffling that we've seen out of.
the British leader, Keir Starmer. And I'm going to repeat the promise, not promise, but prediction I've made before. Do not be surprised if the man's voice you just heard is the voice of your future Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Nigel Farage. It's probably just a matter of time before it happens. And it would certainly be an upgrade for that country. Back on the Vince Coakley radio program, before we're talking about the war with Iran and the implications of this, the impact as it relates to the war, the global map, but also the economic fallout from this. And other things will continue that conversation a little bit later on. The celebration of life, for one, Jesse Jackson. I just continue to be blown away by really the lack of the quorum and the lack of respect to turn basically what's supposed to be a homegoing event for Jesse Jackson into a political event, a political showcase. You'll hear a little bit from that coming up a little bit later on. Let's talk more about what has happened with... The War with Iran. One of the mysteries in all of this, one of many, what's the endgame? And how do we get there? If we're talking about taking out a nuclear program, ultimately you've got some nuclear materials that will have to be probably extracted in some form. It's not a matter of just blowing something up. You probably have to remove some of these materials to make sure there's no means of Iran continuing its nuclear program. How do you do that? Does this involve ground troops? Yesterday evening, there was an interview Pete Hegseth had with 60 minutes, and this particular issue was addressed. Here is that exchange as it took place yesterday, evening Pete Hegsiff. As far as how you get at that nuclear option, we'll make sure that their nuclear ambitions are never achieved. Will we take it out ourselves? Well, I would never tell you or anybody else what our options are. See, that's another thing. People keep asking. It's a legitimate question. It's a very fair question. People ask boots on the ground, no boots on the ground, four weeks, two weeks, six weeks, go in, go in. President Trump knows, I know, you don't tell the enemy, you don't tell the press, you don't tell anybody what your limits would be on an operation. We're willing to go as far as we need to in order to be successful. We want the Iranians guessing and second guessing and triple guessing what we might be willing to do because under President Trump, we just might, and they need to factor for that. We just might. So really nothing is taken off the table here, the possibility of ground troops. By the way, as an aside, Vice President JD Vance is speaking now, and I'm not sure what the content is about, but one of the things that I have seen recently in the news, my understanding is, JD Vance is not a fan of this particular war.
In fact, I've seen a number of reports that he's been shut out of this process because of the position he has taken here. Perhaps a discussion for another day. One thing that you can say for sure, those people who have portrayed themselves as being military hawks, they are having the time of their lives. I would use a word to describe what these folks are. are manifesting right now, but I'm going to exercise some self-control. Let's just say they're very excited. And probably one of the people at the top of the list in this regard is Lindsey Graham, who absolutely loves to see the United States get involved in these kinds of actions, and he's just full of all kinds of tough talk. Here is what Lindsey Graham had to say, making a promise about how we will deal with Iran. Just wait to see what comes in the next two weeks. The next two weeks meaning what? We're going to blow the hell out of these people. Is that comforting to you? And I'm serious. Even those of you south of the border, there in South Carolina, I suspect many, if not most of you, are cringing when you hear Lindsey Graham and the fact that he is reacting with glee to what we were doing now in Iran. Not exactly the kind of people that you were hoping would be celebrating at this point of the Trump presidency. Go figure. Still to come, the broadcast, a controversy for the president about how he received some of our war dead when they came into Dover Air Force Base. Also, we will talk about those oil prices and what's happening at our airports, really a double whammy. One of them involving security, the other involving the cost of airplane tickets. Brace yourselves, folks. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Right now, your local Toyota dealer has great deals available on some of the most reliable trucks on the market, like the off-road ready Tacoma, rugged, full-sized tundra, and legendary forerunner, each with the space, tech, and features to handle it all, from the work site to the trails. It means driving for less, with efficient hybrid options available, extending your overall driving range and delivering great MPGs, meaning bigger savings at the pump without sacrificing power. And it means trading for more. The Tacoma and Tundra are ranked number one and number two in resale value over all vehicles, according to Kelly Boo Book, which can mean thousands more than average right back in your pocket when it's time to trade in. That's Toyota affordability. Buy smart, drive for less, and trade for more. Shop Toyota.com or your local dealer for deals and details. Vehicles projected resale value is specific to the 2026 model year. For more information, visit Kelly Blue Books KB.com. Toyota brand average resale value is 53% versus the average vehicle at 45%. Toyota, let's go places. Ten minutes before 11 o'clock on the intercoccal radio program. Some of the reaction thus far over on the WBT text line driven by Liberty Buick GMC.
We have this from Floyd, I believe it is. Ben's serious question. Why is it every time the U.S. Israel strikes Iran is because they were two to four weeks away from getting nuclear weapons. I thought we obliterated Iran's nuclear capacity last year. Very good observation, Floyd. And unfortunately, we don't have a good answer to this. I think earlier we heard Mick Mulvaney say on Bo and Beth's program that there's the best that he can conclude here is they did not actually accomplish that mission. I don't know what else you can possibly conclude. I just don't. Jeff, I understand. The need of taking Iran out between their missile shots at our base in the past five years and their fatwa and Trump and others. Also, the fact that a crippled Iran could also cripple China and Russia is an added plus. But if you're going to refuse help from the UK because it's too late, I expect this to be wrapped up by late April, early May of the latest. Just my five cents. Keep the change. Well, thank you. Dean says, Vince, I love life. We should not obsess over the state of recurrent conflicts. One war, one skirmish, one stalemate. They just keep repeating over and over since the beginning of recorded history. People live and flourish. People suffer and die. The only variable is what we wage our wars with. So the real question should be, when will humans end it all? But don't worry. No one will ask us. Alan says, like Graham never had a chance to be president. Very loose comment. Yeah. Nobody wants this. This bold, boisterous stuff that in the end of the day, is very easily thrown out while you put other people's lives on the line. That's what's unfortunate here, isn't it? No real skin in the game for them, not in the least bit. Over the weekend, one of the things that presidents do, is they receive the war dead who come into Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. Something that happened this weekend got a lot of attention. Donald Trump and how he received these folks who came back after losing their lives in war. President Trump, Vice President J.D. Van, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and other military leaders gathered at Dover Air Force Base to witness the dignified transfer of the soldiers as the remains were returned home. People could not help but to notice, the commander-in-chief did not remove his hat as he saluted the fallen soldiers, a common practice of respect.
Online, people are seriously angry in the replies, including Governor Gavin Newsom. It's actually absurd how much he doesn't give a blank. Another person calling Trump a blanking disgrace. Another person commenting, nobody in the world does this nonsense. Michael Steele. writing in, this fool has absolutely no sense of dignity or appreciation for the moment. Take your darn hat off. Tell me more about how much he loves our troops. And you heard Mick Mulvaney even addressed this briefly this morning, that it's inexplicable that someone next to him, close to him, did not address this at all. and encourage him to take his hat off. This is another example of what you call an unforced error. It just looks bad, very bad. For all the positive comments about troops, this is one of the things that did not go over well. Speaking of not going over well, Let's talk about oil prices. CNBC reports the oil price surging over $100, as Gulf states cut back production. Iraq, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. Three big OPEC producers have cut oil output as they run out of storage space. They're unable to export through the Strait of Hormuz due to Iranian threats against tankers. The U.S. war against Iran has shown little signs of easing. The G7 finance ministers expected to hold a call this morning to discuss the idea and the impact of the war, according to the financial times. But right now, these prices, oil prices, are surging, which is not good for you.
The other thing taking place, New York Times, New York Post actually reporting, United CEO is warning the cost of plane tickets likely to sores. The Iran war brings huge fuel price surges. The impact will probably start very quickly. Jet fuel, which accounts for about one-fifth of airlines operating expenses, surge a staggering 56% in the days following the initial February 28th U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran. 56%. Somebody's going to pay for that. The Strait of Hormuz, a key Middle East trade route for oil and liquefied natural gas, effectively closed amid the conflict. United CEO. Says the war's impact on ticket prices will start quickly. Made this claim over the weekend. Saying the higher fuel costs could have a meaningful impact on the carrier's next set of financial results. The airlines already face a loss of revenue from canceled or diverted flights across the Middle East amid the war. larger airlines like United, more effectively able to cope with the rise in fuel prices, according to the folks at City. So not only can you expect to pay more of the pump, you can also expect to pay more as you travel. Much more as we continue the broadcast. Hour number two is straight ahead.
Welcome to our number two, the Vince Coakley Radio program. One more item I want to mention about war. And this is something that's not surprising because this concern had been expressed for quite some time. This is a story that's actually fresh this morning. ABC News reporting Iran may be activating sleeper cells outside the country. This is based on encrypted transmissions intercepted by the U.S. These encrypted communications believed to have originated in Iran. may serve as an operational trigger for sleeper assets outside the country. According to a federal government alert sent to law enforcement, the alert, reviewed by ABC News, cites preliminary signals analysis of a transmission likely of Iranian origin that was relayed across multiple countries shortly after the death of Ayatolli Ali Khamenei. the Supreme Leader of Iran, who was killed, and the U.S. Israeli attack February 28th. The intercepted transmission encoded appeared to be destined for clandistin recep, clandestine recipients who possess the encryption key, the kind of message intended to impart instructions to covert operatives or sleeper assets without the use of the Internet or cellular networks. It's possible the transmissions could be intended to activate to provide instructions to pre-position sleeper assets operating outside the originating country. The exact contents cannot be determined. The sudden appearance of a new station with international rebroadcast characteristics warns heightened situational awareness. According to the alert, The alert is careful to say there's no operational threat tied to a specific location. It does instruct law enforcement agencies to increase their monitoring of suspicious radio frequency activity. Now, if the contents of this alert proved true, it would confirm the fears expressed by law enforcement officials after the U.S. and Israel struck Iran that sleeper cells deployed around the West could be used for retaliation.
We can only hope there is nothing to this to be concerned about. Time will certainly tell. Over on the WBT text line, driven by Liberty Buick, GMC, Vince, we can talk about the evil Iran regime and their nukes. We cannot ignore the fact China is also in the mix. Oil in China, a major factor. All of these can be true. That is certainly correct, Brian. Jeff writes in. As everyone seizes and pounces on Trump's hat, at least he didn't check his watch. Oh my goodness. Who was that? Who did that? Was that Barack Obama looking at his watch years ago? It was Biden looking at his watch. Yeah. Chris writes in, isn't it an important lesson here that power can radically transform a person and not for the better? Uh, yes, no question about that. Greg writes in, I'm puzzled about the gas prices. They're charging us more for the gas that's already in our tanks, the station. It's in the bulk tanks and the oil that's already here ready to be refined, but they're still charging us for the stuff that hasn't gotten here yet and hasn't been purchased. Well, it's always in anticipation. This is one of the things I learned years ago. Like it or not, they're not charging you for what they have purchased. They're charging you for what is coming because it's going to cost more. to refill those tanks. That's just reality. This is a practice that's been going on for years. John, when considering the current state and potential future of gas prices, perhaps the previous administration should not have drained the SPR. Yeah. I wonder if anything has been done to refill that, by the way. We also have this. Removing head cover and honor is civilian. Military honor is head covered and salute. Ozzie. In regard to airport security, I came to U.S. Customs on Saturday. Very weak security. Only one person checking passport. No baggage checking at this border. Hmm.
And we have this from Dean. Things are going so bad in our world. I'm thinking of going off my diet. Don't do that. Oh, my goodness. What are we going to do with you? So we talked about what's going on with the price of oil, the impact on gas prices, the impact on plane tickets. And speaking of air travel, there's another issue. And this is not getting a lot of attention. So I'm not sure what the Democrats think they're going to accomplish by their continued refusal to fund the Department of Homeland Security. It really doesn't make a lot of sense at all. Here's the impact. ABC News reports travelers are stuck in long security lines amid TSA staffing shortages. Bottom line is these folks are not getting paid. Now of the spring break travel rush underway. Travelers at airports across the country are facing longer wait times at security checkpoints due to a transportation security administration staffing shortage linked to the partial government shutdown. Long lines reported in New Orleans, Houston, Atlanta, and Charlotte.
Today, travelers are facing TSA lines nearly three hours long at some major airports, causing missed flights, massive delays during peak travel. Airports reporting extended wait times include Houston's Hobby Airport, George Bush International, New Orleans International in Louisiana, Hartsfield Jackson in Atlanta, and Charlotte Douglas International Airport right here. Travelers being advised to arrive at airports three to four hours prior to their flight to allow for extra screening time. These numbers are just absolutely amazing. How many people in this country? Was it 350 million? Airlines are expecting to fly 171 million passengers between March 1st and April 30th. 4% more than last year, an average of nearly 3 million passengers each day, according to Airlines for America. Officials at Houston's Hobby Airport said they had to close the TSA pre-check lane due to the staffing shortage. The airport security checkpoint operated on a limited capacity on Sunday with not all lanes open. So... Be advised, folks, if you are planning to travel, get there early. In fact, for the heck of it, I am going to just take a look here and see what the wait times are if I am able to do so. Because this is going to get very, very messy. Not bad right now. And of course, this is the middle of the day. It's a Monday. That helps. Everything right now is showing under 10 minutes. So hopefully this will stay that way. I would suggest, especially if you're going later in the evening or in the morning, those seem to be the busiest times. Just be prepared. And you can go online and check this for yourself to see how things stand in terms of the delays. to make sure that you get to your flight on time. Still to come, a couple of very controversial issues. One of them related to a member of Congress, many believe, has no business serving in Congress. What's going on with her? Is there any investigation taking place about the legitimacy, not only of her... position in Congress, but whether she even belongs in the country. We'll talk about this. Also, the Jesse Jackson homegoing. Was this a memorial service or political event? What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Right now, your local Toyota dealer has great deals available on some of the most reliable trucks on the market, like the off-road ready Tacoma, rugged full-sized tundra, and legendary forerunner, each with the space, tech, and features to handle it all.

Toyota, let's go places. Back on the broadcast 20 minutes after 11 o'clock on the WBT text line, driven by Liberty View at GMC. Michael writes in, check out this lady's post. She's been talking about the thousands of terrorists that have slipped across the border under the previous administration. Her posts are well worth checking out. I have done so. This is not... new at all these warnings have been there for quite some time and the sad thing is there are people who just simply do not care and they won't care until something personally happens to them that's just the reality Dana writing in if prices go back up again because the fuel situation, it's straight greed. Prices never came down after the last rising prices for fuel. So everything should be stable now. They raise prices again. It's merely greed. Not completely true, Dana. It's just, and you got to think about it. If I remember correctly, the gas stations are making about... Is it about a penny, a gallon or something like that? It's a very small amount. So you can't blame the little guy. This is, I mean, we're talking about market forces ultimately. Mark writing in response. to our conversation about respect for the soldiers who have died and are being received back at dover air force base yes biden looking at his watch and our potus not removing any hat are equally bad optics trump head of state chief executive no hat removal exemption is what's been communicated here. Yeah, it's just across the board. You just have to wonder. Well, or not wonder. Speaking of death, as you know, Jesse Jackson, there was a memorial service for him on Friday. It was a big event, several former presidents there, and folks who would have liked to have become president,
There's a very interesting story about what Jesse Jackson Jr. communicated before and after the event. I'm trying to find the post before. Before, he urged attendees to keep his father's memorial respectful and politics free. However, Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Al Sharpton, proceeded to turn the memorial service into a political rally, taking ambi conservatives and Republican policies. It was really kind of pathetic, to be honest with you. Barack Obama, who you will hear in a moment, had his comments. Kamala Harris, let me just say I predicted a lot of what's happening right now. That's how she bragged. The crowd roared in applause. I'm not into saying I told you so, but we did see it. Well, aren't you proud of yourself? We had Al Sharpton, more blunt, giving out a rallying cry to the crowd. I don't care what they do in Washington. I care what they do in the community. We've beat people bigger than Trump. Boy, that's really encouraging, isn't it? I want you to hear a couple of clips here. The first one, our previous president, Joe Biden, talking about the issue of he is slurring his speech because of and stuttering earlier in his life. And, well, we'll let him carry it the rest of the way. Here's Joe. I stuttered. to talk like that. Now, if I told you all earlier, when I was a kid, I had a cleft palate or club foot, none would have laughed. But it's okay to laugh and stuttering. I'm not being critical, but think about it. It's the one place where people think you're stupid. Oh, really? I'm a hell of a lot smarter than most of you. Really? A hell of a smarter than most of you. Oh, goodness. I honestly, I feel bad for the guy. Doesn't belong on a stage at all. And then there was Barack Obama doing his usual political speech and message of grievance. Here is the former president Barack Obama. We are living in a time when it can be hard to hope.
Each day we wake up to some new assault on our democratic institutions. Another setback to the idea of the rule of law. An offense to common decency every day you wake up to things you just didn't think were possible. Each day we're told by those in high office to fear each other and to turn on each other and that some Americans count more than others and that some don't even count at all. Oh my gosh. Just doesn't stop, does it? Fox News has a story. Jesse Jackson Jr. rebukes Obama, Clinton, and Biden for not truly knowing his father during the memorial service. I said yesterday I listened for several hours. Three United States presidents who do not know Jesse Jackson. Ooh. Offering a sharp rebuke of the so-called tributes given by former Democratic presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden, noting the trio, shared one thing in common. They didn't really know his father. Yesterday, I listened for several hours. of three united states presidents who do not know jesse jackson calling out the idea that his father's life wasn't defined by the political order but by a commitment to those who were marginalized he maintained a tense relationship with the political order not because the presidents were black or white but the demands of our message the demands of speaking for the least of these those who are disinherited or The damned, the dispossessed, the disrespected, demanded not Democratic or Republican solutions, but demanded a consistent prophetic voice that at no point in time sold us out as a people. Hmm. Here's what he said. This was the request before. The service. Do not bring your politics out of respect to Reverend Jesse Jackson and the life he lived to these ongoing services. Come respectful. Come to say thank you. But these ongoing services are welcome to all, Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative, right-wing, left-wing, because his life is broad enough to cover the full spectrum of what it means to be an American. That's what he said in February, one day after his father's death.
Obviously, this is not a request that was honored, but this is how these folks operate. Everything is political. I'm reminded of what Rush Limbaugh said years ago to liberals politics is religion, and it really is. And if I'm being honest about it, more and more Republicans have become this way too. I would at least hope they don't have the indecency to express this kind of thing at a funeral. Go figure. So we continue the Vince Coakley radio program at 29 minutes after 11 still to come. There is a member of Congress who probably doesn't deserve to be there. In fact, probably this doesn't deserve to be in the country altogether. So what is being done about this? Well, another member of Congress raises this concern and much more as we continue the broadcast. Back in the broadcast, 38 minutes after 11 o'clock over on the WBT text line, driven by Liberty Buick GMC. We have this from Dory. Vince, I think was a disgrace where the ex-presidents did at Jesse Jackson Memorial. Disgraceful. Yeah, pretty unfortunate isn't. Anti-white racist rights end. I said if I voted for Harris, gas prices and food prices would go up and we would be in a war. I did vote for Harris. We're now in a war. Gas and food prices have gone up. Okay. Kathy. I heard about the funeral where all the Democrats passed president had to make it a political arena. Of course, Biden's remarks made no sense at all. I normally showed why he shouldn't have ever run ever again. Isn't it such a total disgrace to a wonderful man? He definitely deserved better than that. And I hope that more people call them out for it. Good luck. Chris, people don't care about sleeper cell terrorists infiltrating over the border officials anyway to understand why not know who benefits from a national emergency. Chris, you have hit on something that unfortunately there's some truth in that we've got people who appreciate every opportunity to increase power and they will exploit this. for all the wrong reasons. Harris is pathetic, another just like Graham that will never be president, and don't get me started on Obama. Alan writes in, Harris is pathetic. Yeah. Scott just says, thanks. Okay. Michael. Says Vince, the funeral is now the new soapbox of politics. Look at the past few years of high-profile deaths. To me, it's a given that people use the media attention of the funeral for politics now. Yeah. A lot of people watching. Free advertising for your cause. I'd be interested in hearing you compare the Jackson home going to the memorial service for Charlie Kirk.
in the Arizona Cardinal Football Stadium, which one was more political in your opinion? How do you think Jesus would have felt about either one? Well, you're getting really personal there, Mike. That's why I said to you this, as I don't think that Democrats have a monopoly on this anymore. I think the Republican Party is knee-deep in this. So there you go. So I came across a very interesting post from actor James Woods. He has gotten a lot of attention for being a person who's more on the conservative side of things. And it seems like the Trump presidency and the whole MAGA movement has kind of inspired him to some extent. But there was a very terse message from him on social media over the weekend. Let me just share what he had to say. Well, let me tell you about the post he was responding to. While the Republican Party is protecting Alon Omar from accountability. This is about an investigation, the House attempting to get to her immigration records. Here's what James Woods had to say. I'm done with the Republican Party. Between this and John Thune's refusal to pass the Save Act, I'm done with these Unip Party traders. I'm changing my party affiliation to independent. No wonder President Trump is fighting an uphill battle every day. I want you to hear this exchange with a reporter talking with Nancy Mace about attempting to get at Elon Musk Omar's records. Listen up. Congresswoman, where do we stand on the investigation into Ilhan Omar? Obviously there's some, you know, questions regarding her citizenship. She's been referred to the ethics committee. Can we trust the ethics committee to actually be ethical and do the right thing? Well, what's happened so far? Like, really, I think the mark, the remark is always... Let the process play out, right? That's what they always say and nothing ever happens. I tried to subpoena her immigration records, her brother husband's immigration records, and it was Republicans that killed my motion. Yeah, and what's going on without you have any more insight you can share on as far as I know? Nothing's going on and nothing will go on. That's Congress for you because both sides protect the other. This is what we mean by Uniparty. So I think. As far as I'm concerned, stop all the jokes, all the snide remarks about Ilhan Omar, put up or shut up. Now, I'm not talking about us and talk radio or those of us out in the us peons who are not in government. I'm talking about the politicians. If they're just using her as a foil with no intent to follow through and see whether this woman legitimately is in the United States of America, if you're not going to do that, then shut up. Stop talking about it.

Final stretch of the Vince Coakley Radio program on this Monday. Just an update about what has been going on with the war with Iran, the war on its 10th day, Iran's new Supreme Leader, settling into the role, reportedly already wounded. Here are some of the updates from Breitbart. This is from 1120. Trump not happy with the new comedy. Speaking in the New York Post. President Donald Trump expressed his displeasure with a selection of hominy to succeed his slain father as the next Supreme Leader of Iran. While Trump said he would not reveal America's plans for the younger hominy, he said, I'm not happy with him. The U.S. President previously described the 56-year-old cleric as a lightweight, warned that any new Iranian leader would need his approval. Additionally, Trump telling the post, he's nowhere near ordering troops on the ground in Iran saying, we haven't made any decision on that. So this is the most definitive thing we've heard on this recently. Nowhere near ground troops. So for many of you, that's some measure of reassurance and comfort. So there you go. 11.10 a.m. update. The German Chancellor Friedrich Murch saying the sooner the Mueller regime stops, the sooner this war will be over. Adding the Iran is the center of international terrorism and this center must be shut down. The Americans and Israelis are doing that in their own way, he added. Also, an update as of 11 o'clock. Trump is demanding that Australia grant asylum to five members of the Iranian female soccer team over concerns they will face persecution in their homeland after refusing to sing the national anthem of the Islamist regime during a match against South Korea last week. He posted on Truth Social, Australia is making a terrible humanitarian mistake by allowing the Iran National Women's Soccer Team to be forced back to Iran where they will most likely be killed. Don't do it, Mr. Prime Minister. Give asylum. The U.S. will take them if you won't. Hmm. That's kind of intriguing, isn't it?
Just an update on what is going on with the war with Iran. I want to turn to an interesting subject, actually two, that are related. I've made very clear that I'm a person who very much is libertarian in many of my ideas. I'm not here to try to control your behavior. I think there are some boundaries that need to be set as it relates to children. I do not think children should be sexualized. Children should not be making permanent decisions about their bodies. And I'm talking about this transgender thing. They should not be making decisions, permanent decisions about their bodies. Children. Absolutely not. Now, as adults, if they want to mutilate their bodies, I sure hope to God they do not. That's another story altogether. I don't have any reason of understanding why we should be having conversations or any sort of educational materials for children, little children, nor should there be entertainment directed toward them with sexual themes. This is a post about Curtis Jackson, known better as 50 cent. A post from social media. His mother was a lesbian. He grew up with it. And he still wants LGBTQ storylines out of children's cartoons. Rapper and entrepreneur Curtis Jackson sparked a massive online debate after reportedly stating, children should be raised the traditional way and that LGBTQ themes have no place in kids cartoons. The comment went viral across social media, drawing both support from those defending conventional family values and backlash from critics calling it homophobic. And I don't know if you've heard me say this before. That is one of the most lazy words on the planet. There's a multitude of reasons that people are against homosexuality. And this is simply a lazy word where people do not want to give respect to people who disagree. With this for a variety of reasons. Anyway, the statements polarizing given 50 cents own history with LGBTQ topics. His late mother was a lesbian. In fact, he's spoken about publicly for years. In 2013, he supported a transgender teen on his Sundance Show Dream School. 2021, he included a queer storyline in Power Book 3 saying was inspired by his upbringing. The same interview. He has faced repeated accusations of homophobia dating back to a 2004 playboy interview. So that controversy continues to brew. One of the things I've said about this entire matter is I've been watching social media all the way back to the elections. All the panic, all of the hysteria, suggesting that somehow people are going to lose their rights, which has not happened at all.
And the truth of the matter is that this administration has been very friendly to people living in this lifestyle. This point is made very, very effectively by one of my favorite people, Will Kane, who is on Fox and Friends. I believe Fox and Friends Weekend. He had a very revealing interview with Scott Bessent. And what's intriguing is a lot of people do not know about Scott Bessent. Here is a conversation Will Kane had, I should have reminded my people in the studio that we were going to use this today. Do we still have this loaded, Mr. Producer? He's going to grab this for me. This is important because I think there are a lot of people who speak in ignorance on these matters, and they have been stirring up hysteria. And I think unnecessarily making people afraid that somehow Donald Trump and others are going to come after them. Nobody is coming after you. And I think one of the things that's really sad about this is people have created their own fear loop and scared themselves. And so they continue to reinforce this fear. Here is Will Kane and his exchange with our Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent. You are the highest-ranking gay public policy officeholder, I believe, in the history of America. I'm just curious what that says about you and the Trump administration. Well, it's what it says about President Trump. The President Trump created the cabinet, not because who you go home to at night, not because of the color of your skin, not because of some background, created it based on marriage. The Secretary of Treasury, Scott Bessent, is gay. I didn't know. That is not notable in any way. It is certainly not important to his job, except in the context that it is not notable. And that's why I asked him. Because if this were the Biden administration, it literally would be the first line on the resume. And it would be screamed and celebrated. And here is the Trump administration who is described by the left as homophobic, racist, anti-gay, anti-LGB, everything, whatever. And Scott Bessent is sixth in line for the presidency. Interesting, isn't it? Keep that in mind next time you hear all the hysteria. from the alphabet mafia. They have no idea what they are talking about. That's all the time we have for the broadcast today. Thanks very much for joining us. Have yourselves an awesome day, and God bless you. Adios.
