You know, whatever happened to the old days where even if you had, forget disagreements, even say very passionate disagreements, it was behind closed doors. Now everything is on X or, you know, Trump, it's true, social and the Europeans respond on whatever platform. But what I mean is, you know, everything's on social media now. Everything's open. Everything's like naked. There's no, what diplomacy. What closed door, you know, behind the scenes meeting? So, as I said, Trump now has come out with a statement saying there's no going back. I've told everyone as plainly as possible. We need Greenland. We will have Greenland. And there is no going back. There is none. I will not budge an inch, period. In other words, I'm drawing my red line. We're not backing off of Greenland. Emmanuel Macron now has released a statement and gone on social media.
saying, quote, France prefers respect to bullies. Saying we will not be bullied on this issue. Europe will not be intimidated on this issue. So Trump hasn't even landed in Davos and they're already a daggers drawn. So there is a collision course. Now, Europe now is coming up with a response that if Trump continues to insist on Greenland, they are willing now to sacrifice the entire NATO alliance. That now Trump is literally putting NATO at risk. Now, we'll see, maybe the Europeans are bluffing. To me, they're insane if they shatter the alliance over Greenland. But the globalists are driving them. China is now becoming closer and closer to the Europeans. China now have their tentacles into Carney, the Canadian Prime Minister. So who knows who's really calling the shots? But the fact of the matter is, as I speak to you now, 922, we are in, NATO is in the deepest crisis it has ever been since it was formed after the Second World War. 617-2-66-68-68 is the number. Sally in New Hampshire, thanks for holding Sally and welcome. Hi, Jeff. Hi, Sally. Yeah, I'm Shelly, but it's fine. Shelly. Okay, I have, literally is what I have on the board. S-A-L-L-Y. You know, Mike, I'm just saying, when they say Shelley, could you put up Shelley instead of Sally, Mike? You know, instead of like, you know, instead of obsessing over constantly cutting me off when I'm about to go to break, how about we get the callers his name right? I'm just saying, Mike. So, Mike says he could drop you. All right, Shelley, my apologies. Go ahead, Shelly. Oh, and by the way, I don't really care if I'm shellier or Sally. I just want to make sure I wasn't budding in on Sally if my name is... No, no, no, it's Mike. Mike likes to play mind games with me. There's no other Sally. It's Shelley. Okay, now Sandy's getting upset. She's saying, can we move on? So it's like, you see, it's like Trump in Europe here in the booth. The Europeans, Sandy and Mike are now, they're against me. And it's, who knows, it's bad relations all around. So go ahead, Shelly. Profoundly thank you and your team, Sandy and Mike, for your contributions to American freedom. Five days a week for all these years. Thank you so much. What you do is so important. Oh, thank you, Shelly. Some points to make. I'm kind of listening to everybody, so talking to sort of all main points being made by people. So first point, a possibly future isolationist, Fortress America might not be able to defend itself adequately without allies and their territories hosting our worldwide bases.
Yes, American defense depends on internal stability like, you know, Minnesota, our borders, our debt, but it also depends on defending ourselves overseas. Catastrophic wars, history shows us, are often years in the making. In 1936, Hitler sent troops into the Rhineland to reoccupy it, a violation of the Versailles Treaty. And he also knew at that point that if he'd been confronted, by France in Britain, he could not have done that preoccupation successfully. But he had read their tea leaves. He knew they wouldn't do anything and they didn't. And we got World War II. Coming down the road a few years later. So catastrophic wars are often years in the making. We have to remember that. Since World War II, Europe has never lived up to its defense responsibilities. Clearly, they are hollowed out militarily and everybody knows it. Remember just a few years ago, when Trump went over to a NATO... meeting. And he asked them, demanded that they spent 2% of their GDP on their defense. And they laughed at him, smeared him, called him names, and put up that stupid Trump baby balloon up in the air. I think it was in the UK when they did that. And then a little bit later, they demand that we pay for Ukraine. Europeans must consider selling Greenland. So that the U.S.'s ability to defend all Europe is bolstered. A possible solution to all of this. Maybe we wait until the Russians and the Chinese are getting their tentacles into Greenland as they are probably already doing now. In the meantime, with... Shelly, can you do me a favor? You're making a very powerful case for why, A, we need Greenland. Will you experience the PFL live? The hits are harder. The crowd is louder. The action unmatched. Ain't no more stopping these queens and queens for well in the crime. We are living in monumental, momentous historic times. We are not living in ordinary times. There's no question. History is changing. The world is changing. The entire geopolitical landscape is shifting right beneath our feet. 933 on the great WRCO, Jeff Cooner, Boston's bulldozer. Okay. I'm going to go right back to Shelley. Just before I do. A lot of you are making this point, and I just want to reiterate it because I think it's so spot on. What Trump, whether it's purpose or just an inadvertent consequence of his action now regarding Greenland, whether it's deliberate or not, I think this is now what's happening. He is smoking out which countries and which leaders are aligned with the New World Order. with the World Economic Forum, who are truly our real allies and friends, and who are our fake friends and allies. And in particular, what he's really now smoking out, again, whether it's deliberate or unintentional, it doesn't matter, is who is now aligning with communist China? Who's really now in terms of, okay, yeah, everybody wants the United States to protect them and trade with them so they can keep taking advantage of us. But when push comes to shove, when the rubber hits the road, are they allied with us or are they allied with communist China, the chikoms? And I think it's becoming very obvious now under Justin Trudeau and Mark Carney, the current prime minister. Canada is not our friend and not our ally. They're in bed, in financial bed and increasingly political bed with China. Emmanuel Macron, to me, has now shown me his true colors. Keir Starmer, that woke leftist running Britain into the ground, has clearly shown us the United Kingdom under this leadership is not our friend and not our ally.
Denmark and all these Scandinavian countries, all of these left-wing governments have now shown again when we need something for us after, you know, I want to play the, you know, I could play the Scott Bessent cut again. I want you to think about the amount of money that we have squandered protecting Europe. Remember, since 1980, we just us, the United States. has spent $22 trillion with the T dollars more on military and defense than Canada and all the European nations combined. Combined. Now, what did we get out of this? This wasn't protecting us. We have one of the largest nuclear arsenals and militaries in the world. We can defend ourselves. Or you think we need Denmark or Canada to defend us or Germany or France or even the United Kingdom? I mean, they're nice allies when we go to war. But let's be honest, you know, we don't need the United Kingdom to win our wars. My point being, it didn't benefit us. It predominantly overwhelmingly benefited them. There's no debate. There's no question. And now when we say, you know, we need Greenland, I'm sorry, it's the way the world is. We need Greenland. Suddenly now, they're going to take this all the way to the mat. They're willing to destroy NATO. They're willing to launch a massive trade war. They're willing to rupture relationships with us over freaking Greenland. Which, by the way, will strengthen us so we can protect them. Because they keep telling us, all of them. We fear China. We fear Russia in particular. Vladimir Putin, Vladimir Putin, Vladimir Putin. He's Hitler, Hitler, Hitler. But now you can live without us. Now you're willing to literally blow up the NATO alliance. So either you've been lying to us about the Russians and playing us for fools, just wanting us to spend more money to protect you, but you don't really need our protection, or you guys are being controlled by China and controlled by the globalists and the World Economic Forum. And you guys are now saying we stand with the New World Order against the United States. Now, that's fine. You guys want to make your bed. That's fine. But don't tell me we're friends and allies, because friends and allies don't do this. Now, I just want to say one other thing before I go back to Shelley. George Washington, a founder of our country, our nation, famously said, quote, alliances are temporary because times change, meaning circumstances change. That's why you never, ever get involved in what George Washington said, never get involved in a permanent entanglement, meaning a permanent alliance. Because times change. Countries change, governments change, interest change, values change.
So, in other words, if Washington was alive, by the way, I think if Washington was alive today, he would have told us to pull out of NATO the moment the Soviet Union came crashing down. And the Warsaw Pact was dissolved. He would have said, we won the Cold War, NATO was designed to defeat and contain Soviet communism, Soviet Union is gone, the Cold War is over, and NATO come home America. Okay? But what he would be saying now is, hey, look, who says NATO's permanent? Where is it written in stone that NATO has to go on forever? So if the Europeans are going to treat us like this and they've now really shown us for the traders that they are, the ingrates that they are, frankly the backstabbers that they are, okay, no problem. Then you know what? We're out of NATO. Bye. Bye. And so let me go back to Shelley, because Shelley, you make a very good point that we've defended Europe. Even Fortress America needs allies. You're completely right. And if we want to defend Europe going forward, Greenland is going to be the keystone. to our security for the Arctic, and ultimately to our security to protect the Europeans and the world. And that if the Europeans were smart, they would encourage us to buy NATO, sorry, to buy Greenland, because that would strengthen us within NATO. A stronger America is a stronger NATO. You're completely right, Shelley. My question to you is this. They're not letting us. For whatever reason, they're not acting rationally and they're not acting in their long-term self-interest. And so my question to you is this, Shelly. Are the Europeans and Canada, are they our real allies or have they just shown themselves to be our false friends? What say you? You know, I don't know the answer to that question, but what I do think, though, is that... In my life, I have seen that European countries, they are smaller. They're less capable than the United States. They've always been envious United States. I remember a German woman telling me decades ago, she was pontificating on all the social spending that is done in Germany. This is like in the late 80s. And she looked at me like, you know, the implication of what she was saying was that Germany is superior to America. And I didn't, at that time, I didn't really know what to say to her about that. But I think maybe we're. I wonder if we're really playing into China, China's and Russia's hands here. If we blow up NATO, I'm not a military expert, but I know in history we have had to have bases to defend ourselves in this world. And the world that George Washington talked about in his farewell address is not the world we're living in today. And I don't know that he would say today that we should be yanked out of NATO. Surely the Europeans.
have shirked, utterly shirked their responsibilities in this pact. Therefore, at this point, it's not working. And they should look at themselves in the mirror. And I think maybe a solution for us would be to keep of, if we can't buy the thing from the kingdom of Denmark, then we should be very, very quietly telling them that, well, by the way, if Russian China shows up or whoever shows up, you lose a Greenland, it's on you, because we're not going to defend you. And by the way, before that happens, by the way, we'll take it militarily as a military necessity. I think that's the solution. If we can't buy it, if we can't buy it, when you experience the PFL live, it's a harder. The crowd is louder. The action unmatched. There ain't no more stopping these teens and queens for willing you crying. So whether you're after longevity or on any other health journey, it's easier at Sprout's Farmer's Market. Gary in South Boston. Thanks for holding Gary and welcome. Gary, do we have Gary? All right, let's see if we can reconnect with Gary. Chris in Hingham. Thanks for holding Chris and welcome. Hey, Jeff. Great to talk to you. I'm a big fan, and I appreciate everything that you do. Thank you. Thank you, Chris.
You're welcome. And in this case, I do disagree, and I think I might be the only one, but it seems like we're taking the native Greenland thing to either or, and not too many people have been talking about what happened after World War II, where we could, we have the defense treaty or something with Denmark, where we're allowed to establish bases there and expand bases as it is. And that seems like the most reasonable, simplest solution to this question. And do you have any thoughts on that? Well, Chris, look, normally I would say, yeah, I would say, sure, we've got a treaty, we can build more bases, we can increase our investment in Greenland to get those rare earth minerals. Trump's argument, counter argument, and I think it's a very good one, is, okay, what if Russia makes a play on Greenland? Well, fine, we've got military bases there, yes, we can then technically defend Greenland. But before we do anything, We have to ask the Greenlandic Parliament, will they allow us to defend them? We then have to go to Denmark and ask the Danes. Will they allow us to defend Greenland? And Denmark often has coalition governments. where they have like, you know, one major party and like two or three or four smaller parties. Well, a lot of times there's deadlock because the one or two smaller parties can veto any kind of a decision. So Trump's argument is if we're going to confront Russia and China and make them part of our Golden Dome and have them be a keystone of our security architecture. I can't rely on treaties. It's basically we're renting Greenland. For us to do what we need to do, we have to own Greenland. Because if we need to move, if we need freedom of action in case of an invasion or an attack, he says, I can't wait for Greenland or Denmark because it could be too late. So his argument is for this thing to work, we've got to have total control. that those treaties worked under the Cold War, yes. But in a new age, in the 21st century, if Russia decides to invade Greenland the way they invaded the Ukraine, Trump says, who knows what the Europeans will tell us, or what Denmark will tell us, or what their coalition government will decide. And he said, that I can't allow. I don't know what you think of that argument, Chris, but that's Trump's argument. It makes sense, but I do wonder if really the end game, it seems a lot simpler to have some kind of backroom discussions with Denmark and NATO and just end up, modify this agreement and just get everything we need a lot simpler. And it seems simpler, faster. And then you mentioned the economy and the blowback. I don't think we need to piss everybody off. And then we've already added a couple of trillion to the debt just in 2025. I don't know if we can afford to buy Greenland, which would be the best, the base case scenario. And I'd rather use that money elsewhere. So that's the economic sanctions. And if they, you know, they actually took it on the chin and didn't raise tariffs against us when we did. If they start doing that, it's going to.
I think it's going to hurt our economy, which was your point earlier. And then if we increase the national debt even more, it's just going to be this long-term thing. And that's kind of my thinking. And I do think, I don't think NATO is done. I think it's in our absolute, I think they've been underpaying, but it's in our absolute interest to keep Russia and China out of Europe. And that's what really NATO is for. If NATO weren't there, Ukraine would not even be a discussion now. They would already have Ukraine, and then they would be halfway into Europe. And we want them as trading partners. We want them as open. And people forget, I think, you know, Europe is bigger than the United States. There's like 450 million people or something, and we're 350-ish. If Russia controlled all that, we're kind of screwed. They'll be Russia and China, and we would be the third man on the totem pole despite our nuclear weapons and military. And I wouldn't want to end up there. Well, you know, Chris, look, historically for thousands of years, Europe has defended itself. And I hear where you're coming from. You're making excellent arguments. But look, Germany's GDP, they're one of the wealthiest countries in the world. And historically, the Germans have been formidable in war. No one's going to tell me that the Germans can't build up a first-rate military to ward off Vladimir Putin's Russia. Great Britain also, France, they also have nuclear weapons. You've got Poland, which historically has been a tiger against the Russians. So honestly, I don't know even if NATO dissolved whether Vladimir Putin would just march into Europe. I don't think he would. But, you know, let's just say for the sake of argument, we need NATO and let's keep NATO. Okay, why can't NATO just let us buy Greenland? Like, I think this is what stunned Trump, Chris, to be honest. He thought, look, world gets stronger. That'll make us even more prepared to be able to defend Europe and protect NATO. And I think he stunned. at the fierce opposition. Saturday, July 25th. I know I will be the best welterweight in the world. An undefeated phenom. Batman is a rising star. And a frightening force.
