Regime Change in Iran?

Gas prices are going up because we're in war, but we don't get our gas from over there. I don't understand that. So they want us to do the heavy lifting. Now, you know, privately, the German chancellor has said, yeah, we fear Iran. We worry about them having a nuclear weapon. We worry about them getting a ballistic missile system that could reach Europe. Really, it's very hard for them to develop what's called an ICBM, an intercontinental ballistic missile that could reach. Remember, Iran is, what is it, six, eight thousand miles away?

And everything around you is being destroyed. And what would you're rational? You say, hey, look, it's just, I don't know what to tell you. It's over. You know, it's over. Because for him, the greatest thing that could happen to him now is if he got killed. You say, well, you know, you're a dead man. You know that. You're dead man walking. Maybe you got what, five days, six days before you're dead. Oh, great. I get my 72 virgins. Bring it on. I need they're suicidal. These people are nuts. They're irrational. They welcome death. I think they're going to take them out. They have no choice but to take them out. You're going to leave this guy in power? This guy wants to fight a war now for a thousand years. Now, as to your first point. Look, I got to say this, John. And this is the question I wanted to ask you. You say you're with Trump. You trust Trump. You believe he's got a plan. He's a winner. He always finds a way to win. I hear you. But you don't like boots on the ground. Just for the sake of argument, John, okay, humor me. Trump decides, for whatever reason, we've got to send in boots on the ground to get the enriched uranium out. to eventually topple the regime, whatever it is. Will John in Malden still support Trump? Or will you say that's a bridge too far? Jeff, I will still support him no matter what, but he's got to think very clearly that other people is trying to put in his head about putting boots on the ground. And the Kurds, they're right. They don't want to get involved because they know the Iranian soldiers are ready for us.

for anybody to come and attack them, attacks them. And the thing is, these bunkers are deep in ground. I'd say to try to penetrate through the bunkers and get to them as best you can. That's the only thing I can think of. But I'll honor his decision, but he's going to have to rethink it very clearly because, you know, no more bloodshed for the Americans. You know, it's just a matter of the... these soldiers, even though they're putting their lives on the line for U.S., but, you know, it's going to be like another Vietnam. You know, they get on the ground, who knows what's going to happen? They can, you know, these soldiers, you know, from Iran can pop out of anywhere. And we don't know the area that's still that well. And that's why I say, you know, the Kurds hopefully have the ears and let us know what's going on without getting too much involved. That's basically what I have to say. I know it's being discussed in the inner circle. They're saying there's no appetite for this. Well, you know, I'm Mr. President. I hear you. I hear you. Everybody hears you. Jeff, I just wanted to say that with there's any war in history, I'm going to get kind of philosophical, but there's any war that we've ever participated in, any war, you can make a very strong argument, a good one, why not to go to war, make good arguments to go to war. But my point is that, and they're all valid. The points you make, Jeff. Paul, do me a favor. I'm up against a break. Please don't think I'm censoring you. I'm not. Okay, let's go right back to Paul in South Boston. Paul, you are making the point you go through almost every war in our history's past, in our country's history, that, you know, it's you can be for it, you can be against it, there can be arguments for or against. Please pick up where you left off, Paul. All those points are good, and they're valid. The ones you make are very rational, the logical. There's arguments on the other side. I think what I want to say is that people want a nice ending to something. They want to meet. You know, how do we get out of this? What's the outcome? And my point is this. It's not a fun one, but it's never ends, Jeff. It never, ever ends. Donald Trump's not going to stop Islamic extremism. He's not going to stop communism. He's not going to stop communism. He's not going to put an end to communism. All we can do is... fight against it, maybe limit its spread, or maybe make them start from scratch. If they're going to do it, make them do it. Make another president allow them to do it. Let's let some other president drop a couple billion dollars on a tarmac. If they want to start it all over, that's going to be, so Donald Trump's not going to end, it's not the end of end all, because it never ends, just like you said, Jeff. These Islamic extremists, they are a death cult. If I remember correctly, I believe 9-11 and even October 7th, I don't believe we were at war in the Middle East when those occurred. So if we think that somehow this is going to spawn more terrorist attacks, that's not going to make any difference. They're going to do it. They're just going to do it. We can't stop it. There's nothing you can do. The only thing you can do is maybe slow it down. Maybe you can do some, maybe you can buy some time. We're not going to have this piece of great. I mean, it may seem like there's some peace, but it has to be kept up by future presidents as we go as we move in society. Presidents come are going to say, okay, it's going to be up to them to let them stop the whole nuclear probe back over again. It's not like they had a ICBM on the launch pad, we're going to aim at us, and we had to take them out. Everything that they have to get to that point.

is we have to prevent it because I don't think it's not like they want to launch ICBM at us or use a nuclear warhead against us, but it's the other things, sponsoring terrorism, financing terrorism. Everything that they do is to have that in their arsenal, that makes it even easier. They're going to be the loudest voice on the block. They're going to have the power. That's what we have to understand, but it's not like there's going to be any peace treated. I don't care if you sign something in the big hall of mirrors and like some peace agreement. It's never going to end. All you can do is combat it and do the best thing you can't slow it down somehow. Somehow prevent more death. You're not going to stop it. It's just not going to happen, Jeff. What say you? Well, Paul, look, you make a lot of points. What I can just say is this. Trump's hope is that, and it's a, look, I think it's a very noble hope. I mean, the whole world wants this to happen, which is that the Ayatollahs go, that their regime falls, that the Islamic Republic, as it's called, comes to an end, and that you get sober leadership. In other words, something better. It may be a dictatorship or it may be a monarchy or whatever, but it's a rational monarchy. You know, in other words, it's not a regime that's going to destabilize its neighbors, constantly chant death to America. Because what people don't understand is say, well, we can't let Islam have the bomb, Jeff. Islam already has the bomb. Pakistan is a nuclear power. Thanks Bill Clinton. To me, that was a huge mistake. We never should have allowed that to happen. But forget it. It's happened. It's there. Now, why do we still tolerate it? Because the leadership of Pakistan, although I don't like them, are semi-rational, semi-same. You know, they had a chance. There was a big, you know, a big border skirmish. What was it last year? And Trump had to intervene to mediate. But, you know, India and Pakistan ride each other's throats. India is a nuclear power. Pakistan is a nuclear power. You know, Trump was right to say, hey, look, guys, nobody realizes this. This could have been World War III. Like, things could have escalated. Now, to be fair, the Pakistani government backed down a bit, the Indian government backed down a little bit, and they pulled back from the brink. So, you know, I think the hope for Iran is that you get at least a government or a regime that is stable, that is not obsessed with getting nuclear weapons. will not threaten or menace Europe and its neighbors that wants to live in peace and harmony. And look, Iran has so many natural resources. And not just oil. They've got so much. I mean, just, I mean, look at the videos of Iran in the 60s and 70s under the Shaw. And he was quite brutal. Let's be honest. But man.
