58 segments617-2-66-68-68 is the number. Okay, this is from Sergeant Rock on Messenger. Good morning. Well, good morning to you, Sergeant Rock. I disagree with Frank from Lexington. I detect an anti-Israel outlook and possibly even an anti-Semite. I think it's a bit harsh, to be honest, Sergeant Rock. But anyway, it's your title to your opinion, obviously. We started something and we need to finish it, regardless of the cost. Iran is taking a pounding and the regime must be destroyed. China, Iran's ally is hurting as well. There are mile-long gas lines in China. We will never get a better opportunity. We need to recover that uranium, enriched uranium that's in Iran as well. Otherwise, it is all for nothing. I believe our men can take Carg Island and hold it. There are other marine units in the Gulf. and not just the 2,200 en route. So Sergeant Rock, a military man, says if you've got to send in even more than 2,200, whatever the number is, whatever it takes, send in the boots, finish the job, take Carg Island, and break the back of the mullahs. 617. 266, 68, 68 is the number. Agree, disagree. Okay, you can also text the Cooner Man, the 70470, 70470. And this is from 603. Jeff, let me just say this. I don't agree with the strikes on Iran's oil and gas infrastructure that Israel has been carrying out. When Israel struck Iran's oil facility last week, I thought it was uncalled for. And I heard Trump was absolutely livid over it. And it's the same thing for Israel's latest strike on Iran's gas fields. These are civilian infrastructure targets and not military targets. and I just see no need for it. It will only hurt the Iranian people in the long run. Stick to the highest road and only hit military assets. 617-266868. Like I said, Cooner Country split right down the middle. Mark in Bedford. Thanks for holding Mark and welcome. Hey, Jeff. I'm kind of like a warmonger, I guess, but what I'm thinking is since you made the enlightened conversation about that it seems like there's more support for the current regime than first was presented, all these people are not suffering at this moment.
especially in the remote areas. They're living their life, doing whatever they're doing. And the only people that are suffering, I guess, are the people who are the actual Persians who are in the big cities. And so I'm saying that supposedly this island was already bombed the heck and that it was out of, it was taken off the table. So why is there a military presence there if it's already been, I mean, this is just a general question you can talk about. Why is there still a military presence there if we hit that island and is off the table now? Oh, you're talking about Carg Island, right, the Key Island. Yeah, I can just go by what the administration has said and what I read in, you know, media reports. And I'm not talking CNN or any of that garbage. I'm talking these are serious credible newspapers with serious credible reporters, you know, with very good sources, right? So it may be wrong, but I'm saying, you know, this is serious reporting, serious analysis. This is what the administration says. This is what the report say, that they destroyed, they hit and destroyed every major military target on Karg Island. That's the way it was described. Now, I don't know if they still have gunners. You know, in a bunker somewhere with machine guns who could cut down our men if they try to do an amphibious landing. I'm not aware of that. I mean, I don't know. I don't know. Frank said they do. Frank seems to know what he's talking about, but I don't know. What I do know is the big military targets have been taken out. And they went to pains, tremendous pains. not to hit the gas, the oil gas pipelines on Karg Island and the refineries and that whole oil infrastructure. Because really, you destroy that, you're going to destroy the Iranian economy. I mean, I don't want to keep repeating myself, but 90% of the country's oil exported goes through that island. So it's their economic life vein. You know, that's what it is. So that's why Trump and, you know, he's saying, look, give me something that will end the blockade, that will end the shutdown of the strait. And right away, his general said, well, look, you want to take Carg Island, it's going to take some, you know, at least several thousand troops. but, and we're going to give them air cover and naval cover and, you know, they're not just going to throw them in blind, but they say, look, we can take it. And once we take it, it gives us two advantages. One, we can start to project power across the Strait of Hormuz, start taking out their small boats, maybe start taking out even more of their underground bunkers where they're storing their missiles.
Okay, just a very quick reminder. We're going to have Mike Minogue, the Republican gubernatorial candidate, will be challenging Maura Healey, or he wants to anyway, to get the nomination. And he will be on at 9 o'clock sharp in 26 minutes. We've had the other two candidates. There are three of them that are vying for the Republican nomination. We've had Kenile on. and short sleeve, and now the third one will be Mike Minogue. So a newsmaker interview, you don't want to miss it. But the big question, Trump now seriously weighing, deploying U.S. ground forces into Iran to end the shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz. Good idea, bad idea. Do you support it? Are you against it? Dan in New Hampshire. Thanks for holding Dan and welcome. Thank you, Jeff. Thank you for taking the call. Hi, Dan. No one wants to see boots on the ground, but I feel that it's the only way. Let's face it, these people are Persians. They don't give up easy. They certainly aren't going to take lightly everything that we've already done. I say, go in. If it doesn't work well, have an embargo where you let some things out, you let nothing in. You may say to them, we're going to move some oil through here. If you touch anything, you touch a ship, you push a button, you do anything. We're going to nuke you. We're going to take you out big time. And I feel that they kind of got a good idea that President Trump doesn't mess around. And that would be after the loss of troops. That would be after an embargo didn't work. That would be after they shot and tried to knock out some oil liners, oil tankers. And you just basically give them the ultimate question that this is what's going to happen to you. We don't want that to happen, but you've brought it to this, and we are going to completely absolutely annihilate you. Well, Dan, let me ask you this. God forbid, if it gets to the nuclear option, which you're talking about, you know, we're looking at radiation, mushroom clouds, massive pollution of the atmosphere and the environment, radioactive environment. It wouldn't just kill Iranians and Iranian civilians. And honestly, I think the world would condemn it as a war crime. I'm just being honest with you. But, you know, this would impact Persian Gulf countries, maybe even Israel. You know, I mean, we're talking about this would be, you know, an ecological disaster for the entire region. Do you honestly think Trump would go down that road? And if God forbid we did do it, that the world would forgive us? I mean, I'm just curious. And then think about it. Let's say we do do it, just for the sake of argument. And it, you know, like World War II, it ends the war. But look at the precedent we've now established. The last taboo, and it really is now the last taboo, which is you don't use nuclear weapons.
that would be broken. That means China could use a nuke if they want to take Taiwan. Russia could use a nuke. They want to say overwhelm Ukraine or whatever. In other words, we've opened up now a nuclear Pandora's box that could lead to World War III and ultimately nuclear Armageddon. Is all of this worth it? What say you? I say that it's a delicate poker game. And they got to know that Trump is serious because he obviously is. And if he were to say something like that, he's going to get people sitting up on their chairs and paying attention. It would either stop it because they really felt that he was going to do it. Yes, it might get everybody upset, but it's not done until it's done. I would try everything possible before that. Everything possible. However, he's going to get toppled. He is going to get toppled. Our country is going to be major league affected if the Republican Party and he doesn't remain in control. It's going to be really bad for this country. And quite honestly, these people have not been our friends for 47, 50 years. They've been threatening us, kill us. We're the great Satan. We're this. We're that. We're everything bad. Well, you know what? You brought us to the brink. And you have a decision. You either stop or you're going to get blown off the map.
They don't have to be blown off the map. Just stop. And that could do it. And if not, then maybe you go in with some tactical smaller nukes or something that doesn't necessarily engulf the whole area. Just, you know, like spots, little spots. I don't know what kind of technology that we have. But I know that it doesn't have to maybe be the whole entire country. Maybe it's the locations where it needs to go and tell everybody to get the hell out of there and be serious. And let's face it, do we want a bloodbath where our own men have to go and be foot soldiers and be wiped out? Or can this thing just be played right to the very end where they feel that it's going to happen and they're going to be petrified and they don't want it to happen? Well, Dan, you've given us a lot to chew on there, my friend. Dan, thank you very, very much for that call. All right. So Dan says, if need be, use a tactical nuclear weapon. I'll be honest with you. To me, that's a nightmare scenario. That's why I was skeptical of the war. I'm like, that to me is the worst case scenario. That we have to do that. to end the war, win the war, topple the Ayatollahs. I think even if you can pull off a tactical nuclear strike without, let's say, polluting the entire region or damaging the entire region, my God, I don't know if the world would ever forgive us. You know, I mean, I'll just be honest with you. And then you've opened the door to other countries great powers using tactical nuclear weapons. So I'm just, I don't even want to contemplate it, to be honest. But Dan says, look, you're in a war, you'll fight it to win it, and the mullahs cannot stay in power. And if this is what it takes, this is what it takes. Agree, disagree. Richard in New Hampshire. Thanks for holding Richard. And welcome. Good morning, Jeff. Good morning. Lively discussion this morning. I hope that you are well. Hope that everyone in Cooner Country is well. We are in a very bad situation. I've been against this war. Since it was announced and first executed, this is an absolute madness what's going on. Not one, not one U.S. life of our service. Men and women are worse. This war for Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu. and his massiness desires for total dominance over the Middle East. That's my statement. Richard, would you support a tactical nuclear strike to end the war? That is absolute madness. Absolutely madness. Absolutely not. I think it's crazy. The thing to do is to get out. and stop this madness. Get the, you can do a lot with negotiating.
Oh, Richard, can you hang on? I want you to finish your thought, okay? I'm just up against a break, but I'm going to come right back to you, I promise. Okay, in exactly 10 minutes, we're going to have Mike Minogue, Republican candidate for governor on, and obviously it'll be a newsmaker interview, so please tune in for that. But let's go right back to Richard in New Hampshire. Richard, please, I wanted you to finish your making your point. You were saying you think the idea of ground troops is crazy. The idea of using tactical nuclear weapons is madness and that this war is now turning into a debacle. Please pick up where you left off. Well, thank you, Jeff. I wanted to say to everyone listening that thinks that this is okay. to put troops in harm's way, sitting there with your coffees and your whatever sandwich, in your comfort. War is happiness and violence, and it is crazy. It's always different. It's never the same. And if you're sitting there thinking that we, you know, the United States, no, it's not we, it's those troops. that are going to be taking the brunt of that violence and having to deal with that violence and that the killing and the maiming, the absolute horror of war, which is, it's just out of the question unless there's no other option. In other words, you cannot speak to these people. The only way to deal with them is kill them, which is, unfortunately, part of the human condition at times. But this is not one of those times. We have time right now is to start talking. Trump has already lost this war. His administration is over. The midterms are done. The Democrats are going to take over. They're going to put him out of office. JD Vance is in trouble as well for supporting this absolutely criminal action, which Trump has done at the behest. of B.Benjamin Netanyahu and the criminals that run Israel right now. Because if you read the Jerusalem Times, the vast majority of the Jewish people are against this war. They're against this action. Richard, if you don't mind me asking, and if I'm getting too personal, please tell me. Did you vote for Trump? Are you a Trump supporter or were you a Trump supporter? Four him three times. So you voted for him in 2016, 2020, and 2024? That's correct. Are you done with him now because of this war? I have been against him since he started this nonsense of not what we voted. This is not... not what we voted for. We voted to get these illegals out of this country, to get this economic situation in our country squared away, to get regular folks in the United States of all race and creeds to have a better life. That's what I voted for. That's what the vast majority of Trump supporters voted for. That's what MAGA is all.
Richard, thank you very much for that call. I really appreciate it. 617, as you can see, passions are running high, and the audience, again, 50-50. I mean, it's, you can see, you know, we're. We're fractured. We are divided on this issue. 617, literally 50% say, send in the troops, 50% say, that's our red line. Don't do it. 617-266-68 is the number. Ken in New Hampshire. Thanks for holding Ken and welcome. Hello, Jeff. Hi, Ken. I think it's a good morning, but obviously there's others that don't. Ken, how do you feel about this? Should we send in to send in the troops or not send in the troops? That is now the question. Well, it's the question of where. I think Cargoy Islands a decoy. I think it is all about opening up the state of hormones. The whole world has to get the grip on reality. That is what this is all about. And whether it be the couple of islands that are very near the straits or just the northern coastline, I think that's where the target is of control, because if that can be controlled opening up the straight, then game set match. That's the objective in the immediate. And for all those who are saying, oh, you know, this is that bad and that's bad, whether it be frank. Oh, so you want to not vote in November or vote Democrat? Now, that's a disaster. Get a hold of yourself. The times are very important right now. Yours is a great show from which to learn from because there's such a diverse thought. But you think you know as much as the president knows on this topic? Nobody knows more. Do you think you should trust him now in this critical time? Who's better? Nobody. Now's the time come to reality. There are tough decisions to be made, and we have the right person to be making them.
So, Ken, essentially, I take it, you're saying, A, you support deploying the ground troops, ground forces, you trust in Trump, he's got an ultimate plan, let him execute his plan. When he does, in the end, he will emerge, we will emerge victorious, correct? I'm saying the thing that people aren't realizing, comparing everything to the past, the opportunity. for a spectacular benefit. We're aligning ourselves now with all those non-Iranian Arabs in the area. That is wonderful. My father couldn't never imagine peace in the Middle East, and we're so close to it. I think it's very near, on a long-term basis, to make the world a lot better than it's ever been throughout our entire lives. Ken, thank you very much for that call. I really appreciate it. All right. Ken says, look, basically go for it. Go for the jugular. If it takes 2,200 troops, whatever it takes, get it done, unblocked the Strait of Hormuz, and essentially you'll have defeated the mullahs. Agree, disagree. Mark in Palmer. Thanks for holding Mark and welcome. And Jeff, long-time listener, first-time caller. Welcome, welcome, Mark. I definitely, definitely don't think we should be in this at all. I haven't agreed with the war from the beginning. And as a lot of people agree, putting boots on the ground is a big no for me. And that's absolutely crossing the line that should not be crossed. Mark, let me ask you this. Again, if I'm getting too personal, are you a Trump supporter or did you vote for him? I voted for him all three times. If I had the choice again, I would not. And I guess, so I really enjoyed his first term. Life was really good under his first term. And I understand him coming in this time. Things were a little harder to get back in line. But it seems like this time around, the businessman in him has kind of left, and it's more of a politician now. I feel he does one thing right. and then five more things wrong. And that's just my opinion on some of the things he's decided to do. And one of those things is this war, I just don't think we should be in it. Mark, do you think if he's going to send in troops, I'm getting a lot of people on the text line saying he has to go to Congress? If he's going to start putting boots on the ground, I know it's limited, 2,200, but 2,200, that's still 2,200 Marines. Those are Americans. Those are our men and women, our boys and girls, as we affectionately say. Does he need to get, at a bare minimum, approval authorization from Congress? Well, you know, when we get into an actual war, it's Congress that we go through to... I guess time to get their permission to be in this. And we can't just throw them on the ground. You know, things were set in line for a reason. Things need to be done a certain way. And I think putting boots on the ground is generally the worst thing. And if we, God forbid, we do it, it has to be approved. Mark, thank you very much for that call. I really appreciate it.
