My heart feels like an alligator. It comes from the tabloid talk show stuff in Boston, and it was concocted there. Put your hand on the radio. Live from the burner less lethal pistol studio. Can somebody shout amen? It's Howie Car. Welcome to the Howie Car Show. 844-542, 844-5402-42. It's good Friday. It's Easter weekend. I hope everyone's going to have a happy Easter weekend and get together with the family. The Easter bunny comes to visit you, leaves you some chocolate or whatever you want. It's opening day at Fenway Park. The team is only a couple of games away from being eliminated from the pennant race. But, you know, hey, what the hell? It's way till next year. Wait till next year. And it's the final four, too. But anyway, there's a lot of news today, as always. It was a... It was unfortunate today that a U.S. jet was downed. We don't really know for sure whether it was shot down or mechanical failure. Seems unlikely that they would be able to shoot it down since they haven't been able to, the savages haven't been able to shoot down anything for the first almost five weeks now of the campaign. But it went down. Two pilots ejected. They rescued one of them. And the second one, they're still trying to get them. And let's hope they get them, obviously. And they don't want the... the Stone Age fiends, the Muslims, to get their hands on it for sure. 844-542. Meanwhile, the war seems to be going well. Otherwise, we continue to vaporize everything that moves. And we're approaching the deadline. It's Monday night. For the power plants, 8 p.m. Eastern time, Trump said if we don't get some kind of deal in the strait if Hormuz is not open.
He's going to start taking down the power plants. And, you know, I hope he does. And, you know, I know they're saying, well, you know, that might offend the Iranians that, you know, that are hoping that we overthrow the government. But, you know, they don't want their frozen goods to go bad if there's no electricity. But, you know, I'm sorry. It may have to just be that way. That's all there is to it. 844-542. Weird, weird stories about Kristi Noem's husband and how he was taken down. Now a new story is that maybe it was an illegal alien that was one of the quote-unquote sex workers that he was paying $25 a minute to. And that this sex worker called a couple of different news outlets, Axios in addition to the Daily Mail. And Axios, for whatever reasons, decided to pass on the story. But the Daily Mail went with it, and it looks like it was the same person who called both outlets. And so maybe it wasn't. The theory yesterday was that maybe Kristi Noem. had leaked the story herself or had Corey Lewandowski leak it because she thought it would somehow make her a more sympathetic figure other than being, you know, the other woman. in Cory Lewandowski's marriage. And that always seemed a rather unlikely story to me. I know, you know, everybody always said that one reason Hillary Clinton got elected to the U.S. Senate in 2000 over Rick Lazio is that people felt sorry for her, that she was a sconed woman. But I don't know that I ever believed that either, you know. I don't think that's a reason people vote for you because they feel sorry for you. I don't think I've ever voted for anybody because I felt sorry for them. I vote for people because I feel sorry for myself, and I know I'm going to feel sorry for myself if X, candidate X, gets elected as opposed to the guy or gal I'm voting for. Anyway, 8444-542.
42 and that trump just uh keeps getting uh slammed all uh all through uh all through the media and they no nobody will give nobody gives him a break he he has to fail he has to fail and and you know cbs you got you gotta play supposedly Bari Weiss is this conservative in the Ellison's own CBS, and it's getting better, and now she's going to, there's a story in the New York Post, she's going to clear out 60 minutes, get rid of some of those Pablin pukers. I don't know what he wants. I thought of it making out the poll question, who would you like to see him get rid of? But I mean, who even watches it anymore? Nobody. Nobody. The only time you watch it is if you, you know, it's, it's, CBS has the late football game, and it's a good football game. You've been watching it, but when the game ends, you can't find your remote control to change the channel. That's about it. But anyway, CBS News, I just want to just give you another example today. You can't hate the mainstream media enough here. So this is CBS News in 2022. The price. of a gallon of gasoline when this story ran, because it's in the Chiron, is $4.65 a gallon, average price in the U.S. $4.65 a gallon. And its happy days are here again. They're doing everything but, you know, popping bottles of champagne on CBS News, that the price is $4.65 a gallon. Cut number nine. Cost of a gallon of regular gas has plunged 19 cents over the past two weeks, and drivers could see even lower prices as oil price cuts continue. So here to discuss is a Bloomberg oil futures reporter Julia Franz Ariz. Thank you so much for joining us. So listen. What are some of the factors weighing into why we are seeing this drop? Because you remember, you know, part of the blame was being put on Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Putin's war. Obviously, the war is still raging. So why are we seeing the price drop? A lot of it has to do with these recessionary fears. Now the oil market where prices had spiked because that's enough of that. That's enough of that cut, Jared. Okay, so you see. It's never Biden's fault, but the prices are going down. The prices are going down. It's just great news. Okay. So what are the prices in the United States right now? Four bucks a gallon, as opposed to $4.65, which were not even the height. There were over $5 a gallon on average. when Biden was really, or when President Otto Penn was running amok. But this is CBS News now about the tragedy of gas being almost $4 a gallon. Cut ten.
To be fun to gas up and go, right? Well, no more. As the war in Iran rages, and you can see the prices here behind me, you pay at the pump reaching all-time highs. In fact, highs you haven't seen near four years. All-time highs. Get this. Despite what you're seeing here behind me, which is likely from the state of California, the average cost for a gallon of gas in the United States, $4 a gallon. More than six dollars. Oh, my God. Oh, my God, it's the end of the world. And did you hear what he said? It's reaching all-time highs. And then he corrects himself. But somebody, that was on his, that was on the teleprompter. Somebody wrote that, that it was reaching all-time highs at $4 a gallon. Who wrote that? Somebody who, who wasn't alive four or five years ago? Or were they just making it up? The big lie. This is George Soros from the Ministry of Truth. Write down that the prices are at all-time highs. No one will know any different. They're all stupid. Everybody watching CBS News, very stupid. Well, they are. They are. There's no question about that. 844-542-42, 844-5402-42. It's, uh, I hope they get this guy back. You know, I don't want them to fall into the hands of the Iranians. But the, uh, if, uh, this will be presented as the, as the worst defeat. of American arms since the massacre of the 7th Cavalry in 1876 at Little Big Horn. Or maybe there's worse defeats that the U.S. has suffered. But this will be the, on the alphabet networks and mainstream media, if this guy is, if this second aviator is captured, they will just run with it. I mean, it's just like they're all Tokyo Rose, Axis Sally, Lord Haha. You know, those were the propagandists in World War II. This time the propagandists are broadcasting from. from New York, from D.C., from Rockefeller Center, from Black Rock. They're not on our side. They are a fifth column, you know, four columns marching towards the city and a fifth column in the city. That's from the Spanish Civil War. The media is the fifth column. 844-542, 844-542. I'm Howie Car. Say hello to oyster bunnies. Come on up, Bunnies. Howie Carr will return. Howie Carr is back.
Today's poll question is brought to you by Perfect Smiles. I had my last appointment of the year at Perfect Smiles. Good thing I did, too, was I had two more cavities that needed to be filled before I headed south. I only go to Perfect Smiles in New Hampshire for all my dental needs. It is so worth the trip from anywhere in New England. Visit them today at perfectsmiles.com. Perfectsmiles.com or call them at 603-59699. 603-595-6699. Jared, what is the poll question? What are the results thus far? Today's poll question, which you can vote in at howie carshow.com, is which member of the Trump administration is doing the best job? Scott Bessent, Pete Hegseth, Marco Rubio or JD Vance. I know there are other ones, too, you know, like Bergam is. Bergam's okay. And the Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, I think is her name. She's trying to crack down on food stamps. But I just figured I'd stick with the most prominent ones. I'm voting for Marco Rubio. Marco Rubio in the lead at 62%. Wow. 18% for Scott Bessent, 14 for Hegsth, and 6% for JD Vance. Six? He only got 6%. That's kind of a stack deck, though. What do you mean? I mean, Marco Rubio is out there just killing it. Hegsth is out there all the time now. Scott Bessent's out there all the time. JD doesn't do as much press, so it's like relative to those three. He doesn't have as much exposure. Yeah, but why doesn't he do, why isn't he out there more? That's what I'm kind of wondering about. That's the, that's the perplexing thing. I mean, again, there was a poll out this week or last week of. you know, the favorites in the New Hampshire primary in 2028. He was still way ahead. But, you know, on the other hand, Butt Edge Edge was on way ahead among the Democrats. And does anyone think he's going to be the nominee? I don't see that one in the card somehow. 844-4-4-42.
760, one of my lib co-workers was bitching about filling up his car, and I subtly commented that the price was the same or higher under Biden. I caught him looking up gas prices. He had no response. I mean, you know, I hate, everybody hates paying the higher gas prices, but come on. We need to get this done. And again, it was much, much higher. under Biden. This is 207. Howie, I live in Central Maine, and I'm paying $369 a gallon currently with my 20-cent discount as an Irving Oil customer member. Having driven over 1.6 million miles for work in Maine, from Kitteri to Fort Kent, for over 30 years, I can tell you, I've paid a lot more for regular gas over the years. I was paying $249 before our action against Iran. And you were paying over five bucks when Biden was the president. 844, 500. That's a good line. 617 has the fourth estate is a fifth column. That's very good. That's really good. 844-542-978. You're only 20 minutes into the show and how many people have voted. Not many, but I'm just saying it's usually the poll can change over the course of the afternoon. And this poll will run all weekend. But it's, you usually get a pretty pretty. good indication of how it's going to run early on. I mean, I don't think JD Vance is going to end up with 40% of the vote based on the first 20 minutes. Do you, Jared? No, I think it'll be pretty consistently this way. He'll probably creep up into the teens or the 20s, but it's tough to make up that lead. Yeah. Yeah, 9-1-2. I paid $3.49 for gas here in Georgia this morning. Yeah. We're also, by the way, today is, like I said earlier, it's opening day at Fenway Park. The Woe Sox are playing the San Diego Padres. And someone just texted and said, Hold at Healy and Wu Klux Klan. Governor and the mayor just got roundly and loudly booed when introduced at the Fenway Home Opener, which it's traditional to boo for politicians to get booed at sporting events. Most politicians, not Trump so much, but most politicians. But I would say Healy and Wu would be more likely. They would get booed more roundly and loudly than most, just based on their abysmal. performances. Howie, did you see that Governor Maura Healey put out a statement declaring April 3rd Red Sox Day in Massachusetts? Did she? And Dave Fournight responded back and said, how about we win a bleeping game first?
Why didn't you just say, why don't we, this is a red day in Massachusetts. This is May, you know what, this should be, if they, if they lose it, after lose it, going one and five in the first six game, how about we declare this May Day in Massachusetts? May Day, May Day! A little bit early. All right. Thanks. 508, the polls should only include secretaries. I thought about that. But, you know, again, I mean, JD Vance is being outshown by all those other three guys. And, you know, he's just not. he's not doing much right now he's he's just you know going going around i mean he's on the he's on this fraud committee but i mean that's good i mean we're all we're all in favor of that but you know who he appeared with today at the they had a meeting of the fraud commission he was joined by Stephen Miller i mean again i love Stephen Miller he's he's great Love watching him on TV, but he's a deputy assistant to the president of the United States, and he's co-hosting the event with the vice president. Seems kind of odd. 844-542-42-617. It's obvious they're holding JD Vance back for obvious reasons. Trump is playing the bad cop. J.D. plays the good cop, kind of. Plus, out of sight, out of mind, and out of the way of smears. I don't know. I don't think, you know, smears, they could only smear you so much if your spouse is not into bimboification. You know what I mean? It's, I don't think they're going to get JD on too many smears. I'm highway car.
Live from the Burnah Less Lethal Pistol Pistol Studio, it's Howie Carr. 844-542-4-781 says, I'm thinking maybe JD doesn't want to be president. Maybe he's told DJT already, which will pave the way for Ruby. I don't think, I don't think that's the case. Very few people that get that high up. Don't want to be president. Someone once said, everybody in the Senate looks in the mirror every morning and says, I could be president. I don't know if every one of them says that. I don't know if Maisie Hirono says that. But, you know, I think the last people that didn't want to be president, I was just looking at it up. Henry Clay, 1839, I'd rather be right than president. I was 1839. 45 years later, William Tecumseh Sherman, hero of the Civil War, said the Republicans wanted to run him for president. If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve. I think that's the last guy who said he wasn't going to run. Mario Andrew Cuomo said he wasn't going to run, too. But he knew he wasn't going to win. 844. I think J.D. wants to be president for sure. But I just, I don't know. I don't know what's. Of course, it's very early. 844-542. 42. Okay, we have this, we have from Finway Park. Just moments ago, just before the first pitch was tossed out at the Red Sox Home Opener. Cut 14. Welcome Governor Healy and Mayor Wu. Yeah, exactly. Cheney didn't want to be president, says 9-70. Cheney wasn't, Cheney was political poison. He didn't have a shot. I think he would, I think he would have enjoyed being president, but he, I mean, he knew he couldn't win. Just like Kamala Harris, I don't think Kamala Harris would have tried running in 2024. Or I guess she would have tried. She would have tried running because she figured, you know, she was going to get it through DEI. DEI was not going to work to Dick Cheney's advantage. 844-542. So do we want to talk about a story that you're not going to hear on the evening news tonight? If they rescue the second pilot, that will disappear below the fold in tomorrow's papers for sure. And it'll still be in the network newscast, but it'll get less play. Only disasters involving. involving Donald Trump. But this is just something that happens in war. It's unfortunate, but it, you know, it's hardly a catastrophe for the nation. It's a bad thing, but it's not a, it's not a calamity for the war effort. But they're going to portray it as such. But so anyway, whatever happens, though, you're not going to hear anything tonight about the job report today.
When the job report is bad, it's the lead story. When jobs don't come in, when jobs growth doesn't come in as expected and it's grim and bleak and Donald Trump is president, it's the lead story. It could have been the lead story all weekend. But guess what? It was big. It was big. So it's got to be ignored. Cut seven. I mean, the expectation was, what, 60,000 jobs and it's 178? Wow. Yeah, look, the job market bounced back in a big way in March, and that is good news, really blowing away expectations. It bounced back in a big way, and that means we're going to give it a good leaving alone in a big way. Rick Centelli giving us the... unvarnished picture cut eight finally the U3 the unemployment rate drum roll please comes into 4.3 I know we were discussing this morning we're all expecting it to remain at 4.4 and we know that zero job growth takes into account you know the the immigration issues and population issues so 4.3 is a little bit of a shocker that's where we were in January to find a lower number you're going back to June of last year when it was 4.1
So there's deep gloom at the Wall Street. How is they going to play it on the front page of the Wall Street Journal tomorrow? They want it to look very bad. 508, surprised at the booze, pro sports are now mostly beautiful people events. Well, I think that's an indicator. I agree that they are mostly beautiful people events, especially opening day. I mean, opening day isn't the, you know, a celeb event that it used to be back in the old days. But still, it's basically beautiful people and everybody that's got. season tickets. This is one of those days you go there. And the fact that the markets are closed and there's less going on in business because it's good Friday makes it more likely the beautiful people that buy the season tickets are going to be out there, even if they're giving them away to their clients in the early season and then to their and then to their kids in early summer, and then by the end of the year, they're giving them away to their landscapers and their babysitters probably because the Red Sox will be out of it. But, you know, you're right. I mean, to me, this is an indication of just how unpopular that these two people are, Wu and Healy. especially Healy. I mean, Wu was in Boston has become a rotten borough. The middle class has been totally hollowed out of the city of Boston. They have a tough time keeping three or four seats out of 13 on the Boston City Council now, people who work for a living. But statewide, there's still a substantial group of people who work for a living. They haven't left yet. They're trying to figure out how to leave most of them, but they haven't left yet. And they despise Maura Healey because she is not on our side. There's no question about that. 844-542-42. 844-542-42-4-542-42.
On the Democrat side for president, you have Gavin Newsom. He thinks he's going to run. Kamala Harris thinks she's going to run. Gavin Newsom has got a wife, Jennifer Gavin Newsom. And I don't know if most people remember this, but she was a witness in one of the Harvey Weinstein trials. She was a starlet, and she claimed that she was raped by Harvey at Weinstein, who's still in prison, I think. He's on his, he's probably, he probably really is dying. He's in his 70s now. He raped a lot of women. And she claimed she was raped by him, and his defense was, it was a consensual. affair and you know that's he said she said we know how that works right but he had and he introduced in his defense and his trial The fact that she maintained contact with him after the alleged rape and was asking him, is he going to get a, you know, are you going to get me a job? You know, I thought you were going to get me a job. I thought, you know, you thought I was the most talented person to be in Hollywood since, I don't know, fill in the blank, Jane Fonda, Catherine Hepburn, you know, whoever. But anyway, so. So you have Jennifer Gavin Newsom who had sex with Harvey Weinstein under whatever circumstances. That's not disputed. And she hooks up with Gavin Newsom, who used to be married to Kimberly Guilfoyle, known to Donald Trump as Kimberley-Gilfoyle. Gavin Newsom's marriage to Kimberley broke up after he seduced his campaign manager and best friend's wife. So this is the storybook couple. You know, they say the Trumps are, you know, that Donald Trump has a checkered past, marital past. I mean, it's, how about the Gavin Newsom's, you know? So this is now, Jennifer Gavin Newsom last week she was saying she was on some kind of tour of all the woke media. And she told one of the fluffers that she took her kids, her children, by Gavin Newsom, not Weinstein, to the south, to the Bible Belt, so that they could see how. how bigotry works. She said this. It was on like, she was on like a redneck tourism tour. So now she's given out a new interview and listen to this. Listen to these, what she's saying and see, see if this is something you as a parent would do with your children. Cut one.
I've given our boys dolls, even if they tear that off. I've given them dolls to learn that care and caregiving is not just an activity that's reserved for women, but that it's also an activity that is a responsibility of men. What I've done with both my daughters and my sons is if I'm reading a book and the protagonist as a male, I just change the he to a she. And it just normalizes for my sons in particular. Normalize. I don't even just do it for my girls. I do it for my sons because I want them to see that women can be the center of a story, that women matter, that women are interesting. That's what Harvey Weinstein always said. People who use the word normalize. It's a red flag for me. But there's another word that is even more of a red flag for me, and that is deconstructing. Cut to. At the end of the day, we're all kind of like in this place in history maybe where we're recognizing what it is to ultimately deconstruct all these gender roles and ultimately be human. And that's exciting to me. So I'll just continue to kind of do my work and try and deconstruct all of these like limiting narratives about ultimately what it means to be human. I have never deconstructed a gender role. How about you? That was a 25-second cut. She used the verb, deconstruct twice. Do you have doubts about her commitment to, let's just keep a general reality? How tethered is she to reality? Does she lead a normalized American life, do you think? 844-542-408. Howie, she's a better person than we are. Well, that's what she thinks. There's no question about that. I just don't know that I agree. 844-542, 844-5402. I'm Howie Car. Follow Howie on TikTok. We're looking at TikTok. At Howie Car Radio Network. The name is hot. The brand is hot.
Howie Carr is back. Here's another nugget in the job report for March. Another nugget to bring a smile to your face. Federal government employment continued to decline in March, minus 18,000. Since reaching a peak in October 24, federal government employment is down by 355,000 or 11.8%. Translation, it's easier to get a dog walker today than it was. 844, or maybe not. Maybe not. Walking a dog requires some effort. And, you know, you have to at least pretend to pick up the waist and all that kind of stuff. So maybe it's not easier to get a dog walker. I have a solid dog walker. 844-542. Billy, you're next with Howie Car. Go ahead, Billy. Hello, Howie. Maybe I said you could help me out here, and I got a quick question for you. That lady that was talking earlier, deconstruct, is her head on between her shoulders or between her ass cheek? Stop it. Stop it. You know, so once we said we should do a whole segment with callers on these phrases and words. The new bimbo-green, woke, communist mumbo-jumbo. Sadly, there are a few people who will correct young people when they talk that way. You know, I just thought of another one. Re-imagined. That's another word that's right up there with, you know, deconstruct. It's just all, and you hear it on the, what we, well, we listened to these people who are at the no king's marches who are trying to explain. They're, you know, they're our neighbor. No, they're not our neighbors. They're illegal aliens. They are rapists. They are murderers. They are drunk drivers. They're not our neighbors. And they're not immigrants either. 844-542-42-980. I'm glad we're together again. Yeah, most of those neighbors, I only want to be together with them when they're in iced detention, handcuffed and shackled. On their way to a plane, probably their home countries are not going to take them, so we're going to have to send them to sub-Saharan Africa to some place like some name of a country I never heard of until Trump became president for the second time.
Here's 980. I live in the middle of nowhere in North Carolina. My wife is ethnically Chinese, born and raised in Massachusetts. She has complimented all the time and even has said that the North is far more racist, that she's never experienced it here. Gavin Newsom can shove it. Yeah. Gavin Newsom is a fraud. You know, I mean, he was raised in the lap of luxury. His father was a bag man for the Gettys. He went to these elite private schools. And, you know, he claims he got a 960 on his SATs, but he went to Santa Clara, which is like the, you know, the Georgetown, the Notre Dame, the BC of Catholic colleges on the West Coast. So he obviously. had some kind of legacy. He's born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Now he claims he's a street kid. He had, now he claims he has dyslexia. Never mentioned dyslexia before. I think he's now talked unhoused is another word. Yeah, unhoused. That means homeless. And that in itself is a euphemism. A home, a bum. A hobo. I prefer hobo. I just like it for the old, the retro sound of a hobo. Drifters. How about drifters? It's a, we are, yes, we're here to represent it in front of the city council, the drifter community. We're here to represent the Wino community. No, unhoused. How about the justice involved? Also known as jailbirds. Ex-cons. I'm Howie Carr.
