Congress on its way back, and hopefully it'll get resolved and fixed pretty soon. But here's a little montage of the Democrats on this. The so-called SAVE Act is not about free and fair elections. And we're going to fight him on the SAVE Act for the voter ID. It's just not right. It's the equivalent of a show-me-your-papers law. to be able to exercise your fundamental constitutional right to vote. Oh, please. Knock the hypocrisy off. Why aren't you screaming about photo IDs at the airport? What's the problem there? I mean, just let them on. No ID needed. Why aren't you screaming about the photo IDs when you check out a book at the library? Oh, here's one for you, too. How about the photo ID required when the Democrats held a big deal for the Democratic Party's nomination of Kamala Harris? for the White House in Chicago last year. Oh, wait a minute. You've got to have an ID to get into the DNC's convention. Really? But to vote, come on. Joining us now to talk a little bit more about this, Hannah Davis from Federation for American Immigration Reform. Hannah, welcome in. Thank you so much for being here. Thanks for having me. They're crippling the government over just nothing but hypocrisy here with this whole ID thing in the SAVE Act and how unconstitutional this is and just let people vote. I mean, you've got to be a U.S. citizen. You've got to have an ID to vote. What's the problem here? There shouldn't be a problem. You're exactly right in pointing out that a lot of congressional Democrats require IDs to come into their rallies or to meet them in general. And so it's just painfully ironic. And now notably, the DHS. as funding has lapsed. And when they tried to vote to get it funded until this September and it's lapsed. And I think what's worth pointing out is that the original DHS funding bill passed just recently in late January. But after the Minnesota riots, you know, we've got Chuck Schumer and Hakeemeter's leading congressional Democrats to reverse course and essentially require these non-starter things regarding immigration enforcement. You know, that agent shouldn't wear masks despite boxing being on the rise. that we have to terminate targeted operations, which is highly illogical. And I think the most cumbersome thing that they've requested is that... judicial warrants rather than the current administrative warrants used. And I think that's just a hallmark of sanctuary jurisdictions and sanctuary politics as a whole right there. You know, and it's all flying in the face of law and order. And it's just like, okay, forget about it. We're not going to do this. And when you saw Tom Homan go in there and he says they've negotiated some things and then you see the mayor immediately come back afterward when Tom leaves and says.
I don't know what they're talking about. We haven't agreed to anything. I'm not changing my stance on any position here. So why did Tom Homan leave and shut her down? I think that, you know, it might have been something where they maybe had originally come to some tentative agreements. But at the end of the day, I personally, I never had a lot of hope that these sanctuary jurisdictions won, especially like Minnesota and Minneapolis where the state as a whole is a sanctuary, it's just going to reverse course after a little bit of administrative pressure. And so, unfortunately, you know, I had a little bit of hope, but that was quelled very quickly. And it seems to be that Minnesota and Minneapolis as a whole are still in the same place that they were, say, just a couple months ago. Can we get back to Law & Order, please, in this country? get focusing first on criminals that are, you know, just wreaking havoc in neighborhoods and, you know, they've already committed crimes and they're out of jail. Get these folks first. But let's not forget the fact that you're in this country illegally makes you illegal. You've broken our laws here. Great. You've got a nice little store going here. Great. You've been here for 10 years. You're making zero effort to become a U.S. citizen. You are illegal. So, you know what? I don't get it. Why are we taking these people out of this country? They just, they don't mean, no borders. I mean, what would Jesus do? The argument is just outrageously off-kilter here. You go to any other country. They have immigration laws. They enforce their immigration laws. I thought we had them too. Apparently we do, but we just, you know, thanks to the Democrats. we've decided we're just going to ignore them. And it's all about the voter base. Spreading the voter base, broadening the voter base, getting more people into this country. They pull up with the stats and then it changes all the districting. And, you know, we know what they're doing and why they're doing it. It's got to stop. I mean, we're just crazy. We're letting this happen. I agree, and it's unfair. As congressional Democrats and Republicans fight and debate over whether or not we should be enforcing the rule of law and immigration laws, I mean, the last 43-day shutdown, 90% of DHS employees had to work without pay. And so that's going to happen again. It's an unfair situation caused by radical open borders activists in Congress, and something's got to stop. Unbelievable. Just unbelievable here. Let's play cut five here. Utah Senator Mike Lee. Talking about the majority of Americans want voter ID. Come on. We need to vote as soon as possible because the American people demand elections that are secure. Right now, they're not. Look at what's happened. Over the last four or the last five years, we had an estimated 10 to 15 million people come into this country illegally. Meanwhile, we've got a law called the NVRA that makes it far too easy, especially as it's been interpreted in recent years by the courts. Far too easy for people to just go in, apply for a driver's license. You can do that as a non-citizen in almost every state.
state, check a box, sign your name, and with no additional identification required, and not even allowed under the court's interpretation of the NVRA. States aren't even allowed to ask. to verify citizenship. And so this leaves this sort of very dangerous thing in place where a whole lot of people could go in and with relative ease registered to vote unlawfully. And the states would be powerless to do anything about it. So this closes a loophole in an existing federal law. Now, as for all of these horrible things they're saying about, this is paranoid fantasy. Kaley, our mantra in this, we want to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat. The Democrats like, and we're willing to accept only the first half of that equation, but we need both in place. We need to be easy to vote, hard to cheat. The Save America Act accomplishes both. 100%. But forget about it. Democrats don't give a rip. They want the voter base to grow in their favor. They want to change districts, and it's all about maintaining the power and control that they can't get fair and square. So let's just break our immigration laws and flood this country with a bunch of illegals. You know what, Tom? to these cities, grab these people, and grab the illegals, period. End of story.
