Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said yesterday on Capitola that the Intel shows that the Iranian regime remains intact, but they've been degraded considerably. The ICSS is the regime in Iran appears to be intact but largely degraded due to attacks on its leadership and military capabilities. Its conventional military power projection capabilities have largely been destroyed, leaving limited options. Iran's strategic position has been significantly degraded. Even if the regime remains intact, the ICSS is that internal tensions are likely to increase as Iran's economy worsens. Even so, Iran and its proxies continue to attack U.S. and allied interests in the... Middle East. The ICSS is that if a hostile regime survives, it will likely seek to begin a year's long effort to rebuild its military missiles and UAV forces. Yeah, and also overnight, the world's largest liquefied natural gas, the LNG terminal in Qatar hit by Iran and big damage there. Talking about the surge in oil and gas prices yesterday, Vice President JD Vance calls the increase. Just a blip. We're working on a number of things. In fact, a couple of things that I think will be announced in just the next 24 to 48 hours. I don't want to get ahead of the president on that. But we recognize this is an issue. Yep, no doubt about that. Everybody's a little worried about it. The price of the barrel now, what, $11? Joining us now for a little bit more on this Royal Deal. Welcome in, Roy. Hey there, JT. Good morning. So here we go. Efforts to bring down the oil prices. Yeah, it's not as easy as, okay, let's just do it. It's a global issue. It's, you know, but the good news is, you know, we're kind of a little bit more self-sufficient than, you know, others around the globe, including China and Russian things who get a lot of their oil from the Middle East. But so. President, Vice President, rather, I think temporary blip. What does that mean? Until this conflict's over? Well, right. And, you know, that's the thing. When does the conflict end? And what is that going to look like? And suddenly is there going to be a regime in Iran that is suddenly, okay, thanks. We're now team USA and team Israel. That seems unlikely too. Yeah. So exactly how you secure the strait if it's just the U.S. that's going to be a real challenge. And, you know, let's see what happens with these prices. As you said, and as the VP said, you know, the U.S. is a net oil exporter. I mean, I know we import stuff because it's not necessarily the oil we want and need. I get it.
But we don't need this Iranian oil. The rest of the world does. And that's why we're seeing this big spike in prices. Yeah, I saw that the president was kind of throwing China, you know, tip of the hat by helping them get that straight-of-hormoos opened up as much as we disagree with China a lot. That had to be a nice diplomatic move by the president. Right. And you thought that, you know, they're delaying that upcoming trip. President Trump was supposed to be going to China very soon. But that got... put on the back burner. But the president has also given waivers for Russian oil to be sold, and that's upsetting a lot of our NATO allies. Because if Russia gets to sell oil at $100 a barrel, that means they're making a much bigger profit to fund their war with Ukraine. It's like, oh, gosh, it's like plain whackamol. Yeah, and I saw, what was it, 111, 112? I saw somebody said 114. But it's up from $70 before this whole thing began. Right. Now, it depends on what kind of oil you're talking about. If it's Brent crude, that's the expensive stuff. That is about $115 a barrel. WTI, the West Texas oil, that's closer to $97 a barrel. The difference is you can refine them into different products. WTI is more common. Brent is the sweet stuff, though, that is easier to ship. So, yeah, you sort of have to look at both numbers, but still, stuff. is higher because look at what's on TV. Pictures of thick black smoke, big fiery explosions at oil and gas facilities. And that's what's scaring investors out there. You know, and it's crazy. And we're all looking at the price of the pump. I think the national average right now is 384. That's the highest level since September of 2023. But I saw somebody made a comment yesterday. Hey, look, we're a month into this, okay? We made much bigger sacrifices during World War II when things were really, really bad. So keep in perspective. We'll be out of this soon. All right, let's talk about the traveling out there. It's getting a little clogged up, a lot clogged up these days at the airports. It is. You know, Democrats are digging in their heels, refusing to approve a budget for the Department of Homeland Security, which means TSA workers are not getting paid. And as you said, we're about a month into this. They lost their last full paycheck this past Friday. And a lot more workers are just not bothering to show up, calling in sick, especially if it's in a state where their kids are on school vacation. Now they've got to provide daycare if they were at work. I mean, think of that expense, right? I got to go to work for free and still pay for daycare for the kid. That math just doesn't work. And it's at a particularly busy time at the airports. It is spring break week. I think we're really going to hit the fan this Friday, Saturday, Sunday when all those spring breakers are trying to get home. 100%. No doubt about it. Travelers and airports across the country talking about their experience now with the current DHS government shutdown. Thanks, Democrats. How early did you show up at the airport ahead of your flight? Four hours. We wanted to make sure we could get through. I didn't think that it would take this long to get through this line. It's never this bad. This is honestly the worst travel experience I've ever had in my life. And as Roy said, yeah, this weekend could even get worse. You ain't heard about Modo Casino?
